Chapter 5

I was so upset that Damon wouldn't tell me what was going on that I completely ignored him for the next two days. He could do me. Instead, I spent a little more time with my passion, dancing. I wouldn't necessarily rate myself as particularly good, but to my pride I was quite agile and since I loved music, the best way to combine both was with dancing. But I only got around to it because Wilhelmine had sent me to a dance school when I was eight. She said that way I could socialize and find something I would enjoy spending my time with. Dancing had brought a little bit of life back into me, even though I was a terrible choreographer myself, for example, and preferred to pick ones from the internet. It was already evening and it was relatively dark outside. The stars twinkled in the sky and I felt like dancing a choreo that I had first learned in Germany. So I turned on the music. Turning Tables by Adele. In my opinion, a brilliant song. I slowly began to move. A kick up, a split jump and a bike later, I was already starting to sweat, but the air immediately cooled me down a little. As I was about to finish, there was a clapping. I spun around. Demon! What was he doing here? I repeated my question aloud. He grinned. "You avoided me and I miss you." I almost faltered at those sweet words, but I pulled myself together. "It's just trouble, Elise..." I murmured softly in German. I grabbed the box and my cell phone, then I stomped into the house and was about to slam the door when he put his foot in between. There was a c***k and Damon let out a small yelp. "You i***t, watch out" I hissed but he just whimpered. First growl, then whimper and then howl... He wasn't a dog! "That hurt," Damon whimpered. "Come in. I'll bandage him up," I gave in and pulled him in. I carefully closed the door and pulled him into the bathroom behind me to take care of his foot. Couldn't he be careful? I carefully wrapped a bandage around his foot, although I wasn't sure if that was even necessary. However, I just wanted to touch him somehow. Sure, his foot wasn't my body part of choice, but what else could I do? "Thanks" he breathed and sat up so suddenly that I stumbled forward and my face was very close to his. My heart started racing. Oh s**t! How could one guy be so incredibly hot? I blushed, but he didn't even notice. His eyes traveled to my lips and I couldn't help but stare at his as well. I wonder how they felt on mine? The thought of kissing him warmed my heart terribly. If it didn't burn up now, then I didn't know anymore either. I felt dizzy as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me even closer to him. My breathing became faster and faster, while my gaze now slid to his beautiful eyes as if spellbound. With one hand he brushed a strand of hair away from my face. "Kiss me" I breathed dazedly. His eyes glittered happily and he smiled. His face came closer to mine and I felt his hot breath on my lips. "Elise, is there anyone with you?" Damon and I jumped apart. He looked at me longingly. "I have to go." With that he opened the bathroom window and jumped out into the dark. "No, I'm alone" I called back. My voice was shaking. That could only have been a dream!
