Malrick continued driving, his turns felt more aggressive than it did before but yet his demeaner remained calmed. "I-I'll have my car towed by tomorrow... " Seren started, her voice chirped through the air.

"No need. It's already gone."

She looked up slowly at Malrick, "W-what?"

"Driving you home... towing your car... paying for your new wheels..." His voice trailed off.

"I-I didn't ask you to do all that... " Her voice wavered. Her heart sank as if she was starting to sink deeper into an endless ocean.

"Yeah... but I still did it... kk." His voice begun to crack after his sentences.

Seren watched as he drove right past her apartment. "H-hey tha-"

He suddenly interrupted her. "You, you know... I've been tired for a long time. Because like no matter how much I try to fix myself or become a better person. I, I just... I would like to say it's not my fault. I'd like to blame, just everyone but me. You know? I think I've just said so many lies to the point where... I don't believe anything I say. I want to be a person worthy of affection and love." Seren looked up. The scenario had just changed, now he's dumping all this heavy stuff on her.

"You're very kind, and you're very sweet. Let me tell you a little story about sweet people." He trailed off. "You know, there are really good people in this world. Really good people in this world. But sometimes bad things happen to good people. I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything, but It's just the way it is. Now if something bad happens to you... kk" His voice cracked. Seren looked up at him. Her heart pounding in her chest as he spoke carefully. "Don't blame me honey... Blame the world... " Malrick took a sharp turn into a dark area.

"W-where are you taking me... "

"W-would you say you're a good person, Seren?" He pulled to a stop.

"Y-you're scaring me. Please take me home."

"Now... I'm not going to do anything to you, I'm a good guy... trust me." Malrick locked the car doors finally, causing Seren to jump at the clicking sound.

"W-what do you want..." Seren scooted farther from him on the seat.

"Do you still plan on marrying Rowan..." Malrick's hands were still on the wheel, his index finger still tapping against the wheel. His gaze was straight ahead.

"I-I don't know anymore... I just need time to think." Seren's voice grew small. Her eyes were fixated on her fingers which were beginning to dig into each other.

"From here... Seren. You are in debt. How will you pay me?"

She finally looked up, his eyes unblinking, his face was straight forward. His gaze just staring straight into the darkness before them. "I-I'll pay you back. Trust me... I'll pay in full tomorrow morning, please!"

"What... if I don't want money."

Her hands begun to shake, her heart was beating. This couldn't be the end... if what he's trying to say is what's going to happen... she didn't want to think about it.

"How about we be friends instead... that's all the payment I want from you." He finally spoke in a friendly tone.

"Yeah! yeah! we can be friends." Seren spoke quickly and hastily. Her finger had finally begun to bled from picking at it intensely.

Malrick finally looked down at her fingers, his face unreadable. He grabbed a bandage box and handed it over to Seren. "That's a bad habit you know. Do you always do that when your nervous?"

"I-I don't know... " She begun wrapping her finger with the bandage.

And with that, Malrick begun backing out of the space. She was finally going home... At the apartment's Malrick unlocked the doors finally, "We're friends now... " He added right as she was getting out from the passenger seat.

She did a short wirily smile before shutting the passenger door and hastily running inside the building. At her apartment, she locked the door and threw herself on the bed. That was one of the scariest things she had ever been in. Seren had a mix of emotions that were finally flooding her mind.

He didn't touch her, they were alone together... he could have gotten away with it? was a friend all he wanted? maybe he's just so out of it that he didn't know how else to make a friend... Seren thought to herself. The light above her begun flickering. She glanced at her phone too see a new message from Delancey, Delancey wanted to meet up for lunch tomorrow... She'd started to become uncomfortable around Delancey and Rowan, they seemed to be in the circle together... one Seren couldn't understand. She didn't have proof she was being cheated on either...

She didn't know what to think.
