Chapter 1He spun the ring that was around his finger, a silver band with a rainbow stripe. “Still unreal,” he said. “Can you believe it’s been five years?” “Seven,” came the reply. “Well, sure, technically. From when we met.” There was a pause. “Any regrets? That day?” “I think it’s a bit late for that, and besides, what have I told you. My life’s motto?” “Never regret anything.” “A regret is a decision you wish you hadn’t made. I embrace every decision, because the journey it takes you on could unwittingly, unexpectedly, change your life.” He leaned into the man sitting beside him, the touch of bare skin against the same was warm, and not just from the baking sun which beamed down on tanned bodies. He kissed the man’s shoulder, tenderness further bonding them to the love they share
