Chapter 17 Melody hadn’t been able to keep away from the church until noon like she’d told her mother. Instead, she’d come in around eleven, though most of her friends wouldn’t let her do anything. Sarah had done more than vacuum. She’d dusted and polished, even cleaned the restrooms. The church looked so nice and tidy, it was as if three hundred people hadn’t been crowded in the night before for the Christmas Festival.
