Jay motioned for me to join him as he grabbed his plate for dinner. I excused myself from the table and the other women turned around, searching for their mates. “We’re going to eat in my office.” Jay simply said as we stacked food onto our plates, and he led me back down the hallway. His face was scrunched up and his eyes were red like he was tired. His office was near Ansel’s, and I was surprised by how cozy it was.
