Chapter Five

320 Words
Jessica was on edge. She had no idea what Sam was up to but she knew he was up to something. Everytime he passed by her he had a smirk on his face. She knew he was planning something. She just didn't know what.  If there was one thing Jess was sure of though, it was that she was afraid. Afraif to find out what it was Sam was planning. There was this feeling that it would all blow up in her face. She just knew that was going to happen. She wished it was soon though. She really did. The night before she had talked with her mother and her sister. She had told them what she had found out. Her mother was now upset with her because she had not said anything to Sam. Both Suzie and Sarah had thought it was time to do so. "So, have you told him then?" Sarah had asked.  "Told him what?" had been Jess's question to her sister. "What else?" Jess's mother Suzie shot back with surprise on her face. "That he's a father." Jess had held her head down. Not wanting her mother to see the guilt there. She slowly shook her head no. "Jessica Ariana Marshall. I taught you better. Why wouldn't you tell the man something so important?" Suzie had had that disappointed look on her face then. "Because I don't know how. Or what to say even." Her mother had sighed then. "Hunny, just tell him you need to talk to him and tell him the truth." "Did he recognized you?" was Sarah's next question. "I  think so," she had replied. "Actually, he did. I know he did." Because she had seen the look on his face before the mask had slipped on. He had recognized her. Now she knew he was planning. But she had no idea what. Not did she have any way of finding out. Ok she thought. Guess I'll have to wait this one out.
