I’ll play along for now. For the sake of those, I hold dear. I watched the Alphas disappear around the corner. I walked back to where Meilia was waiting for me. Casandra tried to talk to her. “Are you sure she can read lips?” Casandra is sounding unsure. “Yes, she doesn’t know how to talk to you,” I saw Melia sign. “She suggested that we teach someone this language so that they can stand in front of the class for her,” I translated for Casandra and the woman frowned. “I have no say about that. You need to speak to the alphas for that answer,” Casandra dropped the bomb. Oh, great. Now I need to speak to the alphas about this. Seriously. Can’t these people do things on their own? “Fine,” I looked at Melia and she showed me that she would be fine. I turned around and walked to the door we came out of. Using a magical crystal to record the mouth of the teacher will also not work since they might not always speak to the class. They usually write things on the boards behind them. “Why are we allowing the girl to treat us this way?” I heard one speak as I got near his office. I stopped moving. “How did we know the drug would have that effect on her? They were supposed to get knocked out, not aroused and forgetful of the event,” one added and I frowned at that. So, the drug was not supposed to work this way? But they should have seen that something was wrong. Whatever. They are still the enemy. I knock on the door frame before listening to more excuses. They both looked in my direction at the same time. They just study my face and body. I can see they are trying to access my purpose here. “I am told that I need your permission to teach someone sign language so that my sister can have someone translate what the teacher in front is saying,” I get to the point. I will not stay here longer than it is needed. They gestured to me to come in and take a seat in front of their table as they took the two seats behind it. This is a big table. The wall behind them is filled with books from the floor to the ceiling. The books do not have names on the spine. This is a bit frustrating. Do they not think that having the book name on the spine would make it easier for them to find the book they are looking for? They just studied my face for a few seconds in silence as they rested their arms on the chair arms. “Will it be possible to teach it to a few? We have other deaf pups too. We rescued them from an abusive pack many months ago,” they suddenly spoke and I moved my eyes to them and kept moving my eyes between theirs. “ If they are willing to learn, I have no objections to teaching it to them,” I have magic to make sure this information will be remembered by them for the rest of their lives. “What personality traits should they have? I know not everyone can be what you want them to be,” they asked next. I can see they are trying to handle this like a business transaction. Will they ask me something in return? We will see. “Well, they should be good listeners and patient. They should also be able to stop the teacher when the deaf student has a question and translate it back to the teacher by speaking. They should also be able to stand on their feet for long hours during school hours,” I give him the points I would need from them. They break eye contact with me and let the back of their fingers rub beneath their chins as I can see they are thinking. “We have four omegas that can do what you need,” they dropped their hands again and looked back at me. “They might not be enough but they are the only ones that can handle the standing and listening part for the duration you need them to. You can teach them the rest,” they added and I nodded at him. “I would like to start teaching them as soon as possible,” I demanded and they narrowed their eyes at me. I can see they are not used to someone like me. “Before we agree to this. What can we get from you?” There it is. I had a feeling they would ask this from me. I signed, gripping the arms of the chair. I closed my eyes, I need to stay calm. “For you the pack since I am doing this for the pack,” I can not help but like this. I saw their faces drop a bit after my question. “We see. Since this is not a favor for you alone and it will benefit the pack, we can’t ask that you give us personally something. Let’s think,” they responded and I knew this would be fun seeing them a bit disappointed. “Something that would benefit the pack. Can you enchant objects that can help us shift without ripping our clothes and let the clothes appear back on our bodies after turning human again?” They asked and I tilted my head slightly at them. “Can’t the older witches do that yet?” I had to know and they shook their heads. “It drains too much of their energy,” they replied and I looked down at the table. My eyes moved back and forth between the piles of ragged paper. Would it be possible to create it? Would it work like my magic pocket but let the spell activate when they shift? And then there is the accessory. “Can I try to make it before we agree to this deal?” I looked back up at them. This is going to be a challenge for me. “Okay, come back when you want the deal,” they agreed and I nodded at them before walking out again. “Oh, I might need you to shift. I need to test what kind of crystals will work best for this since you are strongest here. I might as well test this on you, even though I don’t like you,” I added and the two of them looked at me as I looked back at them from the door. I can see in their eyes that they are trying to decide on this. “Fine, we will be the test subject. What do you need from us?” They asked and I gave a small smile. “I will let you know. I just need to consult someone first. Do you know where I can find the guy that is mated to your gamma?” I asked and they nodded. “On the big training grounds. She is in charge of the combat training for the pack,” they replied and I nodded before walking again. I think the name of the guy is Greg Mclean. I know he was the master in the village for body enhancement and enchanting magic. I should do a magic search to find him. I have noticed that our magic flows differently than those of the witches. I can feel him on my right. Further away from me than I thought he would be. I turned right and followed my senses. I couldn’t help but see everything as I walked. Children are playing with each other, running around, and laughing. The older kids are just chilling on stumps. Wolves are walking around too in pairs or groups. Most of them are as big as the wolves that pulled the wagons we were on. Are they omegas? I heard a girl shout orders or about the correction of a stance. I cornered a house and saw the group being trained. They are kids. “Greg!!” I called and the blond hair guy looked at me immediately. He stood next to the gamma girl with his arms over his chest. He said something to the girl before walking over to me. “Hey, are you holding up?” He looked concerned about me. I never talked to him before. I just saw him a few times teaching the younger kids. “I am sort of doing okay. I wanted to teach a few omegas sign language but for that to happen the Alphas asked me to make an enchantment so that their clothes would not get ripped when they shift and that it appears on their bodies again after returning to human,” I explained to him why I am here. I don’t like small talk or wasting time. “I see. We will need to add the magic pocket to a crystal small enough to fit in an accessory. And will the accessory be?” Greg asked and I looked at the man wearing his long blond hair in a ponytail. “I think a necklace is the better option. Or enchant it to do a size thing when they shift. We also need an enchantment to detect them shifting to activate the magic pocket spell and adjustment enchantment,” I gave him all the obstacles I can see happening. Greg rubbed his greying beard as he was busy thinking. “Yes, I can see why a necklace would be better for this. We will need to find the core of the wolf magic/energy for this to work,” Greg nodded and looked down back at me. “Do you have a tester for this?” He studied my face. “Yes, the Alphas. Since they shift into a wolf with two heads. I think he will be the only challenge. If we can make it work for them, we will not have issues for the others,” I answered and Greg gave me a knowing smile. “I heard you were amazing. I can see it now. Okay, let’s make stainless steel necklaces and see what crystal will work with the alpha kings. We will need to break a crystal in half for them,” Greg gave me the plan and I nodded at him. “I can make the necklaces,” I told him and he smiled at me. “Let me just tell her that I will be needed,” Greg walked back to the gamma girl. Looks like the drug had the same effect on him as it did on me and Melia. Wonder why it did. No, stay focused. They could have seen something was wrong with us since the drug did not work as they thought it should. We walked away and stopped at the doorframe of the office. They were busy doing paperwork. “We need to make things easier for them,” Greg spoke his mind and I gave him a knowing smile. “Well, we need to make deals first. You know, something for something,” I gave him an idea and Greg smiled back at me tapping his nose. This caused the alphas to look up at us. “What can I do for you?” They asked and we walked in. “Greg can help with the enchantments. We need to start now,” I let them know and they stood up. “We can do it on the testing grounds,” they pointed at the space he could see through his window. We all walk to it quickly. “Okay, Vorel. Can you use a light cutter and molding?” Greg asked as soon as we arrived at the testing ground. Melia was there with Casandra still. Casandra is trying to communicate with her. Melia looked away from Casandra, letting Casandra know that someone else was there. Melia walked over to us and Greg greeted her with sign language. Yeah, our whole village can communicate with her. “My Kings,” Casandra bowed her head slightly and they gave a small nod at her. “Yes, I can, Greg,” I informed him and I saw Casandra taking Greg’s bracelet off. “Please cut this crystal,” I took the black crystal from Greg. “Crystals, not stones?” Casandra asked as she saw the crystal. She is on her way to take mine off when I used my light-cutting magic already. It is a laser-like energy, giving whatever I am cutting a clean cut. “What shape do you want it?” I looked up at Greg. “Whatever shape will work with the necklace,” Greg answered me and I made the necklaces appear from my pocket. I can make things in my pocket without trying. I mold the crystals to an oval shape and morph them together without damaging anything. I showed Greg and he seemed impressed. “I've always heard about you but never saw you. I can understand why everyone is impressed by you,” Greg commented and I just smiled at him. I can feel the twin’s eyes on me. I watched Greg work, and how he does the enchantments. Everyone is watching him. I am looking deeper though. I am looking at the spells and magic he is using. “Okay, all done,” Greg gave them to me and I looked up at the twins. The necklaces look the same in every way. Since they are twins we needed the pieces to be precise and identical. With the same crystal being used for them. They looked at each other before putting it around their necks. “It does not burn,” they noticed and I chuckled. “It is stainless steel. Using leather is a good idea but it is not that strong to channel magic or energy. Since gold will be too flashy and silver will burn, stainless steel is the better option here,” I explained and Casandra made a funny sound. I looked at her and I saw her trying to hide her excitement. “The necklaces might seem like they will not work but I added spells to make sure that they will shift with you. Getting longer as you shift in other words,” Greg explained, and the two nodded. He moved away from everyone and shifted. Dammit, this wolf is massive! “Vorel, a boost. I need to check if the enchantment is working correctly,” Greg asked and I nodded. I am using telekinesis on him. Greg goes up between the two heads and checks the crystals and necklaces by physically touching them again. “Vorel, seek magic, please. I want to find their core energy and link it. It worked because we were here. But it might not work if we are not present. If we link it with their core, they don’t need us,” Greg spoke loud enough for me to hear. I love learning. “Roger, I will channel what I see and feel with you,” I let him know and I did just that. “Got it,” Greg used a pen like a rod to make a connection between the necklaces. “Done,” Greg gave me a thumbs up and I let him down again and stopped any use of magic. I placed a blocker on our side with a barrier and shield. “Good, this will show us if it works since we are not channeling magic right now,” Greg nodded and we saw the transformation back to human. It is a little gruesome. You can hear the cracking of the bones being broken and flesh being torn. Makes my skin crawl a bit. I shiver running down my back. And just like the Alpha wanted. They have their clothes back on, just the way before they shifted. “Great, it worked. Now we must do this for everyone,” I looked at Greg and he nodded. “You will be doing most of the work. Alpha Kings, we need these crystals from the mountains,” Greg let a black crystal appear again. “Can be any size. But they must be black like this,” Greg explained and they took the crystal from him. Studying it. “We know where to find stones at the river. We never dug inside the mountain before,” Casandra added before taking the crystal that the alphas are holding for her to take. “Use a normal cave and use search magic on the crystal. You will know where they are then. Vorel can’t help you with that part since he will be making the necklaces,” Greg is trying to get them to work for this too. Great idea, big guy. “Casandra, get your team that is good with that kind of magic and get it done quickly,” one alpha spoke and she nodded, excusing herself. “Good job. I will see to it that the omegas report to you as soon as they can,” they start to leave. “Thank you,” I replied, causing them to stop a little before walking on. I can be grateful when I need to be. Or was that an automatic response?
