Captured

A sound of a relaxing waves and wind soothed Avery as she made her way to the beach from her cottage that is located and built near in the shore like the one that Anantara Dhigu Resort in Maldives had.   Carrying her DSLR camera, Avery took pictures whenever she saw something that captured her attention, one of it was the tall rock formation where she can see seagulls that looks like was having fun flying above the rock formation while it has been constantly hit by the massive waves.   As Avery arrived at the beach, she took a place between the coconut tree, and took her denim jacket that she tied on her waist, and use it as a protective under layer for the beach sand when she seat.   “Ah… this island is really a paradise!“ Avery exclaimed as she roam her eyes on her surrounding.   Fuente Bella Island is a resort island that a runaway person like her can went, for it is really made this this island to be one. Here no gadgets are allowed, and chopper can only be used as a transport to be able to come here in this island.   A smile crept on Avery’s lips as she savor the relaxing warmth of the sunlight and the sand against her feet, added by the smell of the sea water that had been delivered by the wind.   The view from where is she seating was astonishingly beautiful, and Avery can’t help but to capture the scenery she’s looking right now.   Avery loves photography so much, that she even took a photography class without her father’s knowing, for she know her, father will be going to get mad and worst he will break her camera again.   Photography is her haven; her dominion for it is where she can be herself. For her, every photograph has its emotions that can affect who ever will stare at it.   Photography may bring relaxation and joy as it hold memories you can recall, it gives you tears for it also holds memories that you didn’t want to recall, and an awe like whenever she see a photographs of nature and others, depends on the picture. Looking at the picture, Elena remembered the time that she can still enjoy her life, where she could break rules that her has father’s made, hangout with her friends and partied all night. Not now that she is running and hiding from her father.   She is a daughter of a billionaire businessman, but only few of friends know it. The others might think that I live my life perfectly because my father is a billionaire and were well of, but I’m not. Being a billionaire daughter has consequences, and one of it is the arranged marriage that her father set for her, making her now hiding from him.   Never in my entire life I would marry a man whom I didn’t love. People can call me selfish but I don’t want to end up like my parents that end up breaking each other because they just married because of my grandparents’ arrangement.   All her life since she was in her childhood, she never got a  feeling of having a family, even her parents is still alive and they staying at the same house, but she can’t feel anything for she was always alone while her parents are busy doing their own businesses leaving her in the care of someone she barely knew.   Thinking about the reason why she left, Avery didn’t notice that she had made her point finger press the camera shutter.   “Oh, geez! Avery exclaimed as she noticed what she did.   And just notice the sun from the coast she’s staring a while ago was completely set, as the sky is beginning to get dark, that she didn’t even notice because of her mind was busy recalling the past.   “Stop thinking about those Avery,” Avery told to herself, “you’re here to escape right?”   Avery decided that she will just going get back on her cottage, as she didn’t feel like to stay outside anymore. Blame the past for making her suddenly feel unwell.   And with that Avery took her denim jacket that she use as an under layer protection from the sand and tied it again on her waist, while she was holding her camera on her right hand.   As Avery got back on her cottage, she let a heavy deep breath that came out of her and grumpily let herself fall into the mattress.   “Stop thinking Avery and let’s just take some sleep.” Avery uttered concealing herself from thinking and just shut her eyes to get herself some sleep.   But, it seems sleepiness doesn’t want to side with her, for Avery shut her eyes up for minutes, but sleepiness doesn’t even want to visit her.   “This is crazy.” Avery told herself. She’s starting to get annoyed. She decided to roll over the mattress over and over until she bumps her hand to her camera.   “Ahh!” Avery hissed. She felt her right hand bump to her camera that was just place between the pillows. Because Avery can’t even sleep, she decided to take her camera to look what pictures she’d got.   “Okay, let’s see what you’ve got.” Avery uttered.  She took her camera and opened it.   “This is really nice beautiful.” She commended after a minute of checking the pictures she take but, stopped when she saw the sunset scenery that she capture a while ago.   And suddenly she remembered the unnoticed capture that she didn’t out of her wandering mind and decided to take a look at it as well.   “Oh…” She exclaimed.   When she saw the pictures she captured she thought it wasn’t that bad.   A pleased smile started to crept on her lips as she stared at the pictures on of the sceneries, which made her mood lift up.   “Why I didn’t I do about this before?” She joked.  Avery’s thumb continuously presses the button of her camera to switch the photos from one to another.   But halted when she saw a particular photo of a woman that she probably captured without her also noticing it.               Looking at the picture, Elena remembered the time that she can still enjoy her life, where she could break rules that her has father’s made, hangout with her friends and partied all night.
