Tyson's pov
I was also disturbed by the incident the previous night, I could not get any sleep, "what connection does this have to do with us, why has it been merged with our destiny" I thought to myself
" I would have to speak with Ace, we would go to Ryker and know what he would make of this situation"
I dressed up immediately, as I headed towards the door of my chambers to leave, as I was about to grab the door knob, someone pushed the door open, I stepped the backwards to know who it was,
"Brother it's me" it was Ace, I looked at him with upmost Surprise, "he could not knock at least, I wonder what's wrong with him", I thought to my self.
" Brother what's wrong with you" I asked but didn't get any response
His face was a mixture of anger and frustration as he entered the room. He slammed the door shut behind him and paced around, clearly agitated
"Are you worried about last night's incident", I said again still not getting any response from him
"Well I decided to go to Ryker to confront him and know what he makes of this situation" I said to him with conclusion and was about to leave,
"That is not going to be helpful" he spoke up, "and what do you mean by that" I said as I turned back to ensure the reason for his words
"I had already approached him as I was heading towards your chamber, I confronted him on the matter but he attacked me" he spoke sadly
"He pinned me to the wall, threatened me, and even brought out a dagger. I thought he was going to kill me".
" You must be joking, you can't be serious ". I raised an eyebrow, concern spreading across my face, I took a step closer to my brother, a mix of shock and worry washing over me. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" .
Ace shook his head, still clearly shaken from the encounter. "He didn't actually stab me, but he came really close. It was like he snapped, and I couldn't reason with him. He's acting so strangely, Tyson."
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, deep in thought. "This whole situation is getting more bizarre by the minute. I know that he is always strict but I still ,can't understand why Ryker would react like that."
Ace's fists clenched at his sides. "I know! And that's not all. After he released me, he told me that he's restricting me from leaving the castle for any reason. He's acting like he has all the answers and won't let me take any action."
I frowned, my mind racing to make sense of it all, "I think there is something that he is not telling us, he is definitely hiding something from us"
Ace nodded in agreement. "Exactly! And that's why we need to find out what's really going on. I can't just sit back and let him control everything. We deserve to know the truth about our destiny".
" But do we know not of anyone to give us the knowledge we seek" I said out with uncertainty,
" I think we do" he replied with reassurance in his face, " and who may that be" I asked.
"The council of the wise elders" he replied,
I placed a reassuring hand on Ace's shoulder. "You're right, Ace. If there is anyone who would be able to explain this to us, it will be the council of wise elders".
" but Ryker had forbidden me from seeking there counsel, he also restricted me from leaving the castle " he said not knowing what to do,
" Then we would have to sneak out of the castle, we can't just sit here and do nothing when we know that it is our destiny to solve this predicament, we must leave the castle
Ace's features softened, and a hint of gratitude appeared in his eyes. "Thank you, Tyson. I knew I could count on you, but how do we escape, the castle is heavily guarded, especially since after the incident, Ryker had tripled the number of guard at each and every duty post".
I nodded in agreement with Ace's concerns. "You're right, Ace. Sneaking out won't be easy, especially with heightened security. But I think if we're careful and come up with a plan, we might be able to find a way".
Ace's determination seemed to grow stronger as he spoke. "We could use the secret passages that lead out of the castle. Remember when we used to explore those tunnels as children? Some of them might still be accessible".
"You're onto something, Ace. Those secret passages could be our ticket out without alerting too much attention. We'll have to be cautious and make sure we're not seen".
"We should wait until nightfall," Ace suggested. "With the cover of darkness, our chances of going unnoticed will be higher, meet me at the secret passage by nightfall, I will be waiting for you there".
"Good plan". I replied. "And we should also gather any tools or supplies that might be useful during our journey. We'll have to be self-reliant once we leave the castle".
Ace's gaze hardened. "Tyson, I won't let Ryker or anyone else stop us from uncovering the truth. This is our responsibility, and we're going to face it head-on".
I smiled at Ace's resolve. "You're right, Ace. Our journey won't be easy, but we'll face whatever challenges come our way. Together".
As we stood there, united in our decision to venture out and seek answers, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation. Our quest was just beginning,
and the mysteries that awaited us were bound to test our limits and redefine our understanding of the world we thought we knew
With a firm handshake and a shared understanding, Ace and I set our plan into motion, determined to uncover the truth behind the prophecy, the shadow wolf, and the destiny that had unexpectedly intertwined with our lives.
Little did we know, our journey was about to take us on an adventure beyond our wildest imaginations, one that would challenge us, change us, and ultimately shape the course of our realm's future.
