Chapter 1 Silvia's POV It's been a week now, and I haven't set my eyes on my mate. It felt like a century and I couldn't help but count each passing day. " He is back Ma'am," Vero announced, running into my chamber without seeking permission as usual. I could hear the happiness in her tone. She is my right handmaid and my closest friend too. She noticed I hadn't been myself lately and decided to bring the good news to me. Without paying attention to her, I happily ran out of the room, heading to our private garden. He always waits for me at the garden, it's a promise we made to each other. I searched for him all over the place, but couldn't get a glance at him, which was weird. I ran to his chamber, he had a mischievous smile on his face. " Baby!" He exclaimed, on seeing me. I jumped into his arms as he pulled me into a tight hug. " I missed you so much," I whispered. I can't ruin this moment for just an abdomen pain. But it only grew, I tried pulling away from the hug, but Topez refused to let me go. I struggled to gasp for air, releasing a light cough. I noticed a red liquid on my lips, as a liquid substance streamed down my face. It wasn't tears or saliva... It was blood. That was when it dawned on me that he was absorbing my powers. " What are you doing to me?" I half yelled, trying to free myself from his grip. I was no match for him. " Just stay still, would you?" He groaned angrily. " Why are you doing this to me?" He sighted a lifeless wolf lying at the Conner of a battlefield. At first, he wanted to ignore the sight but he felt a weird and surprising connection that drew him to the White Wolf. He held his sword prepared to attack. The sensation only grew worse, as her rose fragrance filled his nostrils. " Hey." He whispered, his voice low and gentle as he carefully inspected her body. He finds it strange to find a lady in the middle of the battlefield, badly injured though. He carefully inspected her pulse and released a sigh of relief after discovering it.
