I let my head fall back against the chair I was sitting in. There had been rumors of a trafficking ring for the last three years. It was said that it was running from the Midwest to the East Coast. However, no one had been able to find proof. I say trafficking ring because this supposed ring was not fussy. If it could be bought and sold, they did just that. People, animals, cars, weapons, drug and so on you name they bought and sold it. Most of what they dealt in could be traced, to an extent, but the people were different. They were smart about that. It appears they only kidnapped people over the age of 18. It’s harder to prove an adult has been kidnapped versus them walking away from everything on their own to start a new life.
