Blood Moon (A past that holds the key)

"I don't think you know me". Orion circled the half-broken kneeling man, dried leaves crunched loudly under his powerful feet. The man's nose was bruised, swollen or probably broken. Deep cuts dripped out thick red blood and he struggled to keep his eyes open. "Of course, I-I know you. You a-are Alpha Orion". The man stammered. Orion threw a sinister smirk. "Then why aren't you telling me what I asked of you? Where.. is... it?" He spelt out standing in front of the helpless man who would trade anything just to escape his impending doom. A silent whimper escaped his mouth but it echoed through the dark night, resonating with the sound of the forest. "I d-don't know". He hung his head low and Orion could only smile, feeding on his weakness. His body tingled with delight and his skin got fresher as he witnessed the authority he could commend wherever he set his foot on. "What are those bastards planning? Why was one of my bases burnt down last night? WHAT IS THEIR MAIN GOAL?" Orion asked, growling the last part loudly. It got the man scared and he shivered, fearing he was spending his very last hour on earth. "Your head is w-wanted for a m-m-million grand. They complained a-about your existence and how it's a threat to them. They wan-want you... dead". He stammered hesitantly and burst into full tears. This irritated Orion even more. Hearing other wolf packs are after him ignited the fire of importance and defense. He had always known the title Alpha belonged to him and now he owns it. No one stood a chance to snatch it out of his grasp. Not now, not ever. "It's about time now", Orion and some of his pack members looked up into the sky, seeing a full moon about to completely surface and dominate the dark sky. "Let me show you what it feels like to f**k around with a person's head for a price". He sneered and just right about that time, the full moon surfaced and shone on Orion. His muscles and well built solid abs flexed under his tight white vest. His jaw clenched tightly and his eye color began to turn dark blue. " No, please. Don't kill me. I won't do that again. Please, Alpha". Desperately he tried, although deep down he knew it was over. Still having the chance to breathe is a privilege and it's also about to end now. He would really miss being alive. Orion's body shifted, his bones cracked loudly, increasing the size of his biceps to triple its original size, his hands turned paws and very long sharp claws came out of them. His face changed into a distinct indifferent creature and long curved fangs appeared. His legs got bulkier, revealing his wolf's feet and he was covered in dark caramel furs... beautiful and shiny. The man widened his eyes and opened his mouth, trying to form words, but nothing came out. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Orion had caramel fur and the moon tattoo was in bright black ink visible on his neck. Orion was one heck of an Alpha. The man confirmed the reason why he is so feared. The entire scenario was the scariest. He growled, revealing his deadly fangs. In a flash, Orion stabbed all his claws into the man's neck, severing all the muscles he came across. His eyes glowed sharply and hot breath came out through his nose, he didn't break eye contact with his prey. "I could easily just trap your soul. You would have no cause for living, have no self, won't remember who you are, what you are, but that would just be more painful. Non - existence is worse than hell. I would just save you from your misery". With a quick movement, he ripped his head off his body and blood gushed out, draining the body and the Alpha Wolf standing in all his glory. His pack, which were his henchmen, watched as his eyes glistened with joy. This Alpha is not one to quiver and accept defeat. If only his past life gave him a second chance to really shine and prove what he truly is. He vows to return and be the doom his enemies would fear in the morning, the plague to be scared of at noon and the wrath to befall them at night. "Schedule a meeting with Shaman Rowan. We need to talk". He passed the orders effortlessly and his right-hand man excused himself and started making calls. "I would kill you all one after the other. For wanting to have my head, I will take yours", Orion said, and threw the disoriented head away with just a small amount of energy. It flew over the tall trees and landed deep in the mountains. Orion placed his left furry foot on the rest of his body, then howled very loudly into the night. It went far and beyond the horizon. Just that sound made the entire town bolt their windows and lock their doors. His pack joined the Alpha Wolf in his celebrating howl and made the noise clear and precise in the moonlighted night. *** LUNA raised her almost empty glass of wine and winked at her friend Rose, who managed to keep her head straight. Luna stirred the red liquid in the glass cup and downed it completely in just one gulp. She giggled ceremoniously. "You should see those guys. Hot, sexy, nice abs. You missed Rosa. I danced and danced, even kissed and...". She giggled wildly again, grabbing the wine bottle to have a refill. "You are drunk, Luna". Rose started, but Luna waved her off, drinking the wine in her glass cup in one move. "You just called me Rosa. You really need to stop drinking now. Come on, I'll take you to bed". Rose dropped her own glass cup to give her friend a helping hand. Luna slapped her hands away and poured herself another glass full. "Pfft, bed? The night is still young, Rosa. You worry too much. Things are just getting better", Luna slurred slightly. "When I said you needed to have a little fun and get your head out of your work, trust me, that isn't what I meant. Remember, you have a meet and greet to attend with your kids. You need a good night's rest for that". She tried again, hoping her words could be convincing enough to snap her friend out of her frenzy. "Oh please, what else is fun? And about my kids, you don't have to worry. I will attend their event, there's a lot planned for it. This night must remain splendid". Luna said, emptying her glass cup into her mouth. "How's that new guy you met at the park? You two hitting it up?" Luna asked Rose, whose cheeks flushed. "What? No? You think wildly, Luna. We are just friends... just friends". "Oh really" Luna wiggled her eyebrows playfully at Rose, who blushed the most. She tried to hide it with her palms but her friend wouldn't stop teasing. "When are you gonna get into those tight black pants of his, babes? Go on an adventure, explore, it's no harm" Luna giggled again, discarding her glass cup to the side and going for the entire bottle. She placed the tip to her lips and chugged it down before exhaling satisfied. "Are you f*****g kidding me? That 'he' you're talking about has a wife and four kids... four kids" Rose widened her eyes unbelievably. The night was cool and just had a gentle flow to it. It was calm, peaceful and the conversation was mild and relaxing until Luna decided to drink two bottles of wine to see what happened. Rose wished Luna could see herself right now, knowing next time, she would know this was a terrible idea. "Why do you keep emphasizing, Rosa?"... "It's Rose" Rose interrupted, but it didn't stop Luna from completing her sentence. "You can still f**k him that way". Luna drank huge gulps from the bottle again. "And no, I can't. Do you know what that is going to be like? How would his wife feel when she finds out?". Rose grabbed a bottle of water and drank out of it. "He doesn't seem to have a problem smashing you. He kept staring at your ass and here you are worrying about his wife? I think that's a 'he' problem, not yours". Luna laughs, almost falling out of her chair. "Still doesn't make it right. I just can't fathom it, yuck". Rose shook in disgust. "Then do it. Your head might be too small to imagine it, but I'm sure your genitals can relate" Luna winked and laughed again. "I don't f**k around with other people's husbands, Luna". The night rang the chords of Luna's laughter. She knew teasing her friend could be a lot of fun and, at this point, she wasn't ready to stop. "Why don't we stop talking about me and access your own situation?" "I thought you didn't want to hear about all these dirty little adventures". Luna's eyes were draping close but she struggled to keep them opened. The sleep fought with her eyelids aiming for dominance. "I don't mind hearing yours''. Rose leaned forward towards the table with her head in her palms. "Well, he's game. We've been talking and talking and we think we might have a connection. Do you know how good it would be to get married properly this time?". Luna smiled drunkenly and fought back the sleep taking its toll. "Tell me all about it". Rose said as she snatched out the new bottle of wine, Luna wanted to open her hand... *** Eden and Eldric snuck back into their room. As they tip toed in, feeling the warmth of their room embrace them, the lights suddenly switch on, making them jump in fear. "You scared us, Ember. What are you doing in our room?". Eldric took the honor to question their sister first. "The question is more like, where were you two and why weren't you in your room?". Ember asked, folding her arms together. The two brothers exchanged a glance. "Do us the honor and answer our question first, then we will be out with ours". Eden made the deal and Ember shrugged in agreement. "The air conditioning in my room has gone bad and I don't know what's wrong with it". She said, waiting expectantly to hear their own response. "And how are we to help you?" Eldric asked... "Not part of the agreement. You don't get to ask any other questions. Just answer mine". She said before sitting on one of her brother's beds. "We went sightseeing. Heard mom and aunt Rose's conversation". Eden said, shrugging lightly like it was the most unimportant deal ever. "So you were eavesdropping on mom and aunty Rose's conversation". Ember said as a matter-of-fact. "Not eavesdropping, more like survey hunting". Eden defended, chewing on an apple. "And what were they talking about?". "You don't get to ask any other questions. Not part of the agreement, Em. Just tell us why you're really here". Eldric said, staring straight at his sister. "It's really the air conditioning system... and well, maybe because I was a little bored also. Just a little". She emphasized with her fingers. Her two brothers burst out laughing before Eldric went to sit beside her. "So cute, your brothers are here for you" Eldric rubbed her head and she swatted his hand away. "You're such a kid" Ember stuck out her tongue at Eldric. "We are all kids, Ember but cuter than each other" He replied almost immediately, playfully. "I'm no kid, bro. I'm seventeen and as far as I'm concerned, it isn't easy growing up", Eden added, joining his siblings on the bed. "I'm glad we are triplets. You are both the best".
