Chapter 5: Lisa“Come on, dog.” Lisa donned a light jacket and grabbed her water bottle. “Stupid dog. I thought all dogs like to go for walks.” She rattled Terra’s leash and jiggled the doorknob. Terra slowly emerged from behind the couch, something fluffy hanging off her mouth—great, now what had she torn up?—and sat a few feet away from Lisa. Lisa opened the door slightly. “Look! Sunny and clear.” It had been drizzling during their last walk of the night yesterday and it seemed Terra, despite her thick fur, was not fond of inclement weather. She’d peed quickly and pulled Lisa home with amazing strength for such a small dog. As soon as Lisa had opened the door and unclipped her leash, she managed to climb up on the couch and roll her less-than-clean self dry all over the beige cushions.
