Chapter 19 - I change

Kathie POV

I feel my body, lighter than before, where am I ?

This place, it's pure black and feel so lonely.

What happened? Why I am here?

I can't move my body, what's happening?

Was that a light?

"Your not dead, Kathie"

A man voice?

"Who are you?" I said

"I always guide you, since that day"

A silhouette of a men from the only light I can see pop up.

"Father?!"

I was shocked, by what I am seeing right now.

My father is infront of me. A light sorrounds him as he smile.

"How have you been my child?" He said,  it's seems I'm stock from where I stand, as tears, drops from my eyes.

I froze, how is this possible?

"I am now inside of your conscious, Your now in your right age to access your power" he walk infront of me, as he held my cheek in his palm. His still smiling wearing a sad eyes.

I grab his hand, and cry.

"D-Dad" I said in midst of my sob.

"I know my child, I missed you too, me and your mom miss you and your siblings. But you gotta be strong and use your power for good" he says as tear drop from his right eye.

I hugged him as he hug me back.

After awhile he speak.

"You must continue your mission, save our family Kathie, we will always be with you. I love you" he said at last as he pull himself back and smiled.

the light got deemed and his appearance started to disappear.

"No, dad!, No!, Please" I said as I'm chasing the light.

Til everything get backs to black and thats the last time before I lost my conscious.

Nancy POV

After what happened in the abandon building, we decided to bring Kathie back to her penthouse. Until now it's like we watch a movie scene after we saw what happen awhile ago. Her scream like she's in pain, we feel scared for Kathie at that moment specially when she hit the floor and lost her conscious.

"You have to go home Peter, your tired" I said as I enter the room in where Kathie was laid in her bed.

"No, Nancy how could I rest and sleep like there's nothing happen when Kathie is like this, she's been sleeping for almost 8hrs now" Peter replied as he look at Kathie.

"I know what you mean, no one wants this to happen Peter, but if Kathie would wake up she will feel ashamed for causing you trouble, so it's better if you rest for the day, besides your phone keep on ringing" I reasoned out as I take a sit and compress the damp cloth to put on kathies forehead.

After she lost conscious her temperature rise up, and she's sweating too much, she's also keep mumbling words we couldn't understand.

I look at Peter, as his face is covered of worry and fear.

"Peter, listen, I'll keep you updated and I will stay by her side till she feel better and wake up, so do not worry everything will be fine. For now you need to go home" I said with seriousness in my voice as I look at his eyes. He knows I keep my promises.

He look at me, and then lightly shake his head.

He raise his both hand in surrender.

"Fine, but if you need something, or if there something happen call me, I'll come running" He said as I nodded, he stand and fix himself as he reach for the door . He turn the knob, and close the door, as he got outside, I heard the front door open and bring a sound that signals his already out of the house.

I took a deep breath after to calm myself. I touch Kathies forehead and felt glad that she's doing good. I fix her hair and slide it at the back of her ear using my finger.

"You've been through with a lot of things since you were child" I mumble and look at her face, I hold her hand and kiss the back of it.

"I won't let them hurt you again, both me and Peter will protect you Kathie" I said softly as I closed my eyes and let myself  feel the warmth of her hand on mine, I feel sleepy, so I let myself drift off and have a little sleep.

After an hours

I was awaken by the ringtone of my phone.

I yawn as I grab my phone in my pocket I didn't look for the caller name as I answer the call.

"Nancy, where are you?" I open my eyes completely and look at the clock in the wall of kathies room. It's already midnight.

"Mom, I'm in Kathies house, I'll spend the night here, she got sick so I have to look after her", I answer and explain as I look to Kathie who sleep sound and clear.

"Is that so, why didn't you told us earlier, were worried of you" mom answered with understanding.

"I'm sorry, mom" I answer with guilt.

"Ok it's fine now, next time don't forget to send us some text or atleast call beforehand if you plan on staying in one of you friend, ok sweetie?" Mom said, as I smiled as if she could see me.

"Yes mom, I'll keep that in mind" I answer.

"Ok sweetie good night , bye" she say as the line got ended.

I put my phone back in my pocket. I stand and walk to the door as I took a last glance on Kathie before I head to her kitchen. I feel thirst and hungry, I open her fridge to find some salad wrap in a foil. I took it together with the cold water.

After that I washed the dishes,and go back to her room.

"You sure are sleepyhead, eh?" I Chuckle as Kathie never answered, of course she won't. She's inside of the dream land. I took a deep sigh as I softly patted her head.

I never done this before, and this never happened in the past. Kathie is always healthy, and never get sick, so it's rear for me to see you this vulnerable.

Her hair, is so smooth, and I didn't know that her eyelashes are long.

She's beautiful.

I come into conclusion as I stare at her.

I stayed like that for a little while.

I never feel tired and never feel bored as I do so.

I was about to fix her blanket as I stand when suddenly the light turned off.

I was a bit shocked for a sudden block out. I get my phone and turn on the flash light.

"Why a sudden, I should check the fuse"  I mumble as I started to walk outside her room. I was now on the living room when I heard a sound of step at the door.

"Who's there?" I asked, unsure if there is really another person here except me and Kathie.

I walk slowly and more careful toward the door.

"Hello?" I can't see properly without light, maybe it's my imagination playing tricks on me.

I waited before I fix myself and turn my back, when suddenly.

"Kathie?!!"

I was shocked when kathies face pop up on my view, she hold my shoulder and look at me.

She seems serious as she put here index finger in here lip signal for silent and to be quite.

"What, what is it?" I asked confused as she suddenly grab my hand and took a quick run toward her room.

After that we heard shutter of glasses, it maybe the sound of expensive vase, table, and other things inside her house.

She immediately lock the door, as we both pant from running.

"W-whats happening!!?"

I was freaking out as we heard step near the door. Kathie immediately pull me and put her hand on my mouth.

"Keep quiet and calm down nance" she whisper with soft voice that bring my eyes wide open as what I see.

I am looking in here eyes, in Kathies eyes, its different from her usual.

Its bright yellow, and it keeps glowing out of ordinary, it took me awhile to realize that something changed in Kathie, that now she's different.
