Chapter 17 - An Ally

Kathie

After the weekend the past few days in school are pretty busy, we've been having a lot of test, homework and projects, it's like there is no end. And if we finish work, there come another.

But I guess that's what college is.

"Kathie, hold the forcep properly, we can't dissect this frog if we fail cutting the skin, we must avoid mistake here" Clara my laboratory partner said as she carefully slice the skin out of the frog flesh she's always serious in talks of work that's why I choose her to be my partner.

" I'm sorry, I'll get that in mind" Ms. Wilson our biology teacher gave us actual work to know the anatomy of frog and by doing so we need to dissect each part.

We have to stay focus, and being sleep deprived due to ample school work doesn't help at all.

At the end of the time, Clara manage to successfully split other parts, as I turn to dissect some organs, till we finish on time, Ms Wilson check each partners work as she scribble some numbers on her notes.

After the tiresome laboratory, Lunch time came.

Nancy and Peter are already sitting on our usual table, I take my seat and lay my head on the table, both of them are telling some story about their day.

"Must be tough huh" Peter said as he look at me and lightly shake my shoulder to prevent me from sleeping.

"Stop Peter your not helping her" Nancy said as she glare.

I had no energy to speak with them, so I just stayed to that position as I ate my apple.

Right now the most precious place I wanted is in my bedroom, to have time with my beds and pillow, and take all hours I could get to have plenty of sleeps

"You stink of chemical" Peter noticed as he sniffed my clothes.

"Yeah, it's the formalin I haven't taken some change of clothes"

" I have some extra in my locker, you can have it if you want" Nancy requested as she take a bite of her Sandwich.

We finished our lunch as I followed Nancy to her locker, she lent me her extra shirt, after I change we walk together to her next subject she's going in.

"Kathie, My dad wants to meet you" Nancy said abruptly as we are now walking to her next room

I stop " what?, What would your dad wanted to do with me?" I confusedly ask.

She turn to me and put her hand on the back of her neck " I,... I-I told him your story"

My face got terror from what she said,  we made a promise that we will never tell anyone about my secrets, so why did she do that.

My mouth hang open, as I tried to find the words to say.

"Nancy... I thought .... I thought we agreed to hide the fact about me to anyone,   why would you do such unacceptable action"

"No, I mean, Listen to me first Kathie"

I slowly shake my heads in disbelief, I was about to walk out but she grab my wrist.

"Please listen first, I have my reasons" she explained

" You know what trouble is up for me due to my mess up life Nancy" I said and took my hand from her grip, I walked away from her.

"She's your father best friend!!, She's an ALLY!!, And he wanted to help you!!" Nancy shouted as I stop from my track.

I turn to her and she run to my place.

" He said he wanted to meet you to talk about matter, My father is a good man Kathie, Infact his your father best friend and guess what were child hood friend!!, We meet before Kathie, I've been in your house with my dad in the past, I don't know if you still remember because I only manage to regain my memories after dad told me about this, I don't think so that my Dad is on your enemy's side, after I told him about you, he seemed happy!!. Please Kathie, gave him chance to meet you, his my father! You can trust him." Nancy explain fastly as she hold my hand.

I just look at her, as she waited for my answer. If what his telling is true, then maybe I should try the idea, and his Nancy's father surely his not a bad guy, but Im not sure if I could trust him not until we talk. I take silent As I consider her request.

I made a deep breath before I Nodded at last ,. She smiled and hug me.

"Thank you!" She pulled from me and I smiled back.

"How come I don't remember you at all, if your saying we're childhood." I don't remember having Nancy around when I was young, so I'm thinking why My memory doesn't tell anything about her.

Nancy on contrary just shrug, "I don't know either, but What Im sure of when we first met, is you seemed familiar, And I WAS RIGHT!!," She giggled.

We take awhile on talking about the new facts of our relationship.

After that she enter the room and texted me the time and day to when I should visit their house to meet her father.

Someone's POV

"Sir, we still don't have the information for the person in video, our team are in search to find the lady, but someone's are blocking our team to find her" I turn around to see  one of my intelligence who seem to failed the task.

"Do whatever you can to find that girl, I can feel shes connected to my family, and if you fail again this time, remind you that your family is on my hand" I look again to my office view of city, as his face are full of fear

"Yes sir" she bowed and walk to the door.

"And also" he stop

"Call my two favorite executioner" he nod and continue to walk out of the room.

I need to find her, that girl is the biggest obstacle to my reign, If what I watch on the News is true, then she must be still Alive. There is no way I Let that girl snatch my throne. That will never happen, And I will make it sure.

"Sir, you call for us" I smiled to welcome them.

"Take a sit" I pointed the chair near my table as I play a video on a screen.

"I need both of you, to find this girl and make her dead!"

They both look at each other as they nodded.

"My intelligence is at peak to gather information about her, look for her and give me some data about the girl after that, bring the body on me, I expect high in both of you" I look at them in serious.

"We'll make that happen" they answered and exit the room.

I take a sit and make a plan after that I drive and get inside the secret base I build.

I got inside and look to my family's picture.

Your supposed to be dead, only one Lion can manage a jungle and that's only ME a king, I greeted through my teeth,. And sip a strong wine. But this time I'll make sure you are. I smiled evily.

Peter POV

As soon as the last class ended I head straight to my Locker and put my jacket and some of my stuff after that I jog, to Kathies classroom.

After I reach the room I saw Kathie looking a little dizzy as her head almost hit her desk. Poor thing, The teacher is still inside, I think its giving some last instructions to his class.

Kathies lesson is also about to end, maybe I can give her some wake up drill.

I grin and jog to the cafeteria, I bought the strongest coffee and jog back to her room .

As I got nearer, I saw students coming out of the room. As soon as Kathie got out of the door, I hide in the corner with the coffee in my hand. I like messing with them around, so I'll have her heart a little shock for a great change.

I chuckle at my own plan as now Kathie are walking in my direction. She's still yawning as she slowly walk.

I hide my presence.

I let my feet in her step as she stumble, "BOO!!" She jump and startle I chuckle back as she hit my shoulder with her hands. I laugh even as she look pissed.

"Get lost Peter I'm not in the mood", she waved and walk again.

"Wheres the fun on that" I said and walk together with her.

"Here" I gave the coffee and she look at it.

"It's fine, it's a normal coffee with strongest kick to make you awake" she didn't look convince. I grab her hand and put the coffee.

She take a sip "ugh, bitter" she said as she show her toungue to look disgusted. "Thank you"

I just nodded and we continue to walk to get Nancy.

Kathie POV

Sometimes Peter can be a real friend but sometimes a bit asshole and a pain in my ass.

But the coffee he gave Is a life saver. We finish the lesson early, I only had 3 subject for today which is a great relief. Peter too and Nancy seems had less class .

Nancy is coming out of the room as we get nearer. Peter waved up his hand as I continue to finish my coffee.

Nancy saw us and smile. She wave back and said goodbye to her classmate.

It's still 3pm in the afternoon, we still have a lot of time.

"What should we do now that we're free" Nancy ask, I just shrug.

"Sleep," I answered shortly.

"Arcade" Peter added excitement showed in his face.

We reach the parking lot, Peter can play in his house regarding the arcade, he had it.

But maybe I want to do something else.
