Lies & Deception

Emily runs up to John and hugs him. “Hey babe I missed you, what were you doing?” He replies, “I wasn’t doing anything I was just waiting on you. I’ve missed you too my love.” He pulls her close to him and nibbles her lips before kissing her on her pink plump lips. Then they happily walk hand and hand towards the front door of Tia’s house. Standing at the door is little Alexander and he waves at John saying “dada”. John keeps walking inside but Emily stops and lets go of his hand. She bends down to the baby “Sweetie what did you say?” Emily asks Alexander. Alexander smiles and says “dada”pointing to John. Emily pulls John outside of the door away from the baby. Emily: “Are you going to explain or act like you didn’t hear what Beth’s son Alexander called you?” John: “Hunny he is only 4 years old, he’s confused I’m not his father. Don’t be silly.” Emily says nothing because John looks nervous. He keeps running his smooth caramel hand through his curly dark brown hair. His thick eyebrows are knitted into a frown. John: It’s truly nothing , now don’t talk nonsense let’s go upstairs. Emily is silent but walks up the stairs into Tia’s house. Emily says hey to Tia and sits at the table. Tia: Who died? Why are you and my brother so quiet. John jumps up yelling, “everything is fine stop saying nonsense!” Emily sits looking spaced out. Tia ignores her brother because they are being weird. She calls Alexander upstairs to get ready to go home with his mom. Flying up the stairs he jumps up into Tia’s arms and say “Godmommy I here.” “Great hunny come let’s get you ready to go, mommy will be here soon” Tia tells him.
