Chapter 1
Chloe was a nineteen year old girl who came from a very poor background,she was the first child who had four other siblings.
She still found it hard to understand why her parents had so many children even when they found it hard to take care of them,Chloe had to take up four part time jobs just to scale through the first year of college and it really affected her grades before she dropped out just because she couldn't fund it any longer.
She had to confront her parents to also try their best to sponsor either her or her other siblings.
"Mom,you know neither me,Hilary, Victoria,Fredrick or Sarah asked to be here and you are making us suffer unnecessarily for what you and dad did"Chloe said with no fear.
"Chloe,why would you say that? You know I and your dad try our best to make you and your siblings happy,why are you questioning our efforts?"Mrs Hampson asked.
"Mom,you call this efforts?Oh I actually didn't realize that ,maybe I would have if Dad leaves the house by 7:00a.m and comes back by 10:00p.m with money and not a bottle of liquor''Chloe said.
"Don't say that about your dad,you know it is really hard for him to get a job with his age"Mrs Hampson defended her husband once more.
"Why shouldn't I?I found four part time jobs just to be able to get through school and feed my siblings and you're here giving excuses for a man who sleeps in brothels,Mom you need to realize that at this point you should live for yourself or your kids, stand up for yourself and your kids rather than defending a useless man"Chloe said.
"Oh darling, don't say that about your father you know you can't change the fact he is your father"Mrs Hampson said.
"Oh please,I will say it over and over again you also know what I'm saying is the truth"Chloe said.
"Don't ever bring this up again most especially when your father is around,you don't want to get spanked by your dad"Mrs Hampson said.
"He dares not"Chloe said in anger.
"Who dares not?"A voice came from behind and Chloe could tell who that was even from her sleep.
"It's you Mr Hampson"Chloe said without any trace of fear and Mr Hampson just gave a wicked laugh.
Mrs Hampson already knew what was going to happen and she tried to calm Mr Hampson down and he pushed her aside aggressively.
"Mr Hampson I'm no longer the little girl you raise your filthy god forsaken hands to hit,if you dare try to raise your hands at me you will have human right activists to deal with"Chloe threatened.
"Oh so you've become a woman?"He asked sarcastically as he pulled off his belt and it hit against the wall. He grabbed Chloe's hand into the kitchen, he locked the door and started hitting her. Her scream quickly echoed across the room and her mom's heart ached because this was not the first time something like this was happening.
After five minutes of insane torture, he came outside with a smile across his face.
"Next time you teach her how to talk to her father,when to talk and where to talk"Mr Hampson said fixed his belt back and left the house.
Mrs Hampson quickly ran to the kitchen and saw Chloe staring and burning with anger,her face was clearly bruised so were her arms.
"Oh my princess, I am really sorry"Mrs Hampson said.
"Oh you should be,but not for me but yourself for marrying such a disgusting fellow"Chloe said.
Mrs Hampson got a first aid box to treat her injury.
"I don't need you to do this, hand it over to me"Chloe said as she grabbed the box from her mom.
She left the kitchen and went to the room,she cleaned the blood and bandaged her arm and cleaned her forehead. Chloe changed into a long sleeved top to avoid being questioned, she packed her bags and prepared to leave the house
"Come back here Miss,where do you think you are heading to?"Mrs Hampson asked hands akimbo.
"Far away from you and him,trust me when I am financially stable I'm coming for them"Chloe said as she pointed at her siblings who were already fast asleep,she didn't wait to hear what her mom had to say she just left.
