Chapter Thirty- Seven (18+)

The days were really blending into one. Mae spent her time around the pack house just hanging out, or with either of the brothers. She didn't get out and do her activities or anything like she used to. She was definitely starting to get stir crazy. She knew she didn't need to ask permission to go anywhere.

But at the same time she didn't want to irritate them either. The four of them were watching a movie together. Despite what Max had been saying for months about not wanting her, he was around her more and more everyday. Mae really hoped one day he would stop denying it and just be with her too, that would make this beyond perfect. Once the movie was over Mae went to leave the room when Ace grabbed onto her wrist stopping her.

" I know it's late and you're tired. But stay for a little bit longer, there's something we need to talk about" Ace told her with a slight pout.

" Alright" she said with a sigh as she sat back down.

" Are you happy?" he asked her.

She shrugged her shoulders " I think so" she replied.

" Think?" Ace asked.

" I think I need to get out of here more often" she told him.

" That's fair, you should get out. You don't need to be here every minute of the day" Max spoke up.

" Great. Is that all?" She asked him.

" No. We've been thinking, your next heat will be soon. We want you to stay for it" Ace told her.

" OH um no thanks" she told him.

Ace sighed " Mae, we want to take the next step. This is the next step" he told her.

" I said no" she told him as she rolled her eyes.

Ace just groaned " And why not?" he asked her.

" Because I'm not ready for that step. I don't even know if I want to be with you guys long term anyway" she told him.

" So what you've just been f*****g me for fun"? he asked her.

" Pretty much yeah" she responded.

" I thought we had gotten past everything. And that you were wanting to be Luna" Ace spoke getting mad.

" I never said I had, also I never said I was ready to carry your pup either" she told him glaring at him.

" So what happens if I get you pregnant regardless of your heat? It could happen you know" he told her.

" I'd figure that out then" was all she said when he snapped and got off the couch hitting the closest wall.

" What more can we do to prove to you we've changed?" he asked raising his voice at her.

" You haven't not really. I'm still so unsure" she told him.

" Mae" Ace started to say when he was cut off.

" Enough Ace, she's allowed to feel how she feels. If she doesn't want to be here during her heat we respect that. Discussion over" Kai told him glaring at him.

" I'm going to bed, in my own bed" she said as she got off the couch and walked past Ace.

He grabbed onto her arm " Please don't do this, think logically " he told her.

" You're hurting me" she told him as she tried to pull her arm free.

" Mae" he said when she slapped him hard across his face.

" Let go of me, now" she told him.

He let go of her instantly the second he let go Kai had slammed him into the wall, hitting his head against the wall.

" The f**k do you think you're doing? Knock it off" Kai said growling at him.

" You good Mae?" Max asked coming over to her.

" I'm fine. I'm still going to sleep in my own bed though. Ace, if you really wanted to show me you've changed. You would respect my decision and boundaries, clearly you haven't changed " she told him.

" Mae please" he spoke as he looked really upset.

" No I've made up my mind. Don't come into my room tonight, I mean it" she told him as she left the room.

She went into her room and locked the door behind her. He was so unstable right now it reminded her of him in the beginning. This was exactly why she didn't want to be with him during her heat. She went into her bathroom and got herself ready for bed. As she was about to go to sleep she heard a knock on her door.

" I don't want to speak to you anymore Ace" she called out through the door.

" It's Kai" the voice said.

She unlocked the door and opened it " You alright?" he asked her.

She nodded " I think so, thanks for checking on me, that's very sweet of you" she told him.

" You're welcome, have a good night" he said giving her a smile as he went into his room.

" Kai stay with me" she said to him.

" Are you sure? I thought you wanted to be alone?" he asked her as he left his room and came back to hers.

" Just away from Ace" she told him as he nodded.

" He won't bother you tonight I promise" he told her as he closed her bedroom door.

She took his hand and sat down on her bed "

She pulled away " Thanks for standing upto Ace on my behalf " she said to him with a smile.

" You don't need to thank me. You're mine,and doesn't matter that you're his too. No one will treat you badly" he told her.

" Are you upset with me about my upcoming heat though?" She asked him.

He shook his head no " It's your decision end of story. If he can't accept that, I'll dround him" he said causing Mae to laugh.

" Kai, I want you" she told him.

He just looked at her " I didn't defend you to get anything from you, you know" he told her.

She nodded " I know. But you said when the time was right, it's right" she told him kissing him.

He kissed her back and slid his hand up her nightgown grabbing onto her breasts. He gently pinched her n****e causing her to moan. He moved his other hand in between her legs and rubbed her c**t. He slid a finger inside of her causing her to gasp.
