Chapter Four

After her encounter with Kai she figured she may as well go upstairs to her room for the night. Thankfully all the s*x noises were done so she was able to crawl into bed and sleep for the night. She woke up the next morning with a knock on the door. She yawned and got up opening the door. There was a petite woman standing in front of her.

" Sorry to wake you miss, but I'm supposed to change the sheets and wash any clothes you have" she spoke.

" OH it's OK, you also don't need to do that I can take care of it myself " she told the woman.

" No can do miss that's my job" she said giving her a small smile and came into the room.

" You don't have to call me miss, Mae is just fine" she told her.

" OK Mae" she said as she started stripping the sheets.

" And what's your name?" she asked her.

" Bethany miss, sorry Mae" she responded with a smile.

" Well it's nice to meet you Bethany " Mae responded.

" Breakfast is ready if you want to get yourself ready, your room will be clean by the time you get back" she told her.

" OH thank you" she responded as she went into her bathroom and got herself dressed for the day.

She put on her tight jeans and a red tank top " have a good day Bethany, maybe I'll see you around?" she asked her.

" Hopefully you have a good day too Mae" she told her with a bow of her head.

" Please don't bow that's not necessary " she said as Bethany just laughed.

Mae walked downstairs to see that everyone was already there waiting. It looked like no one had even taken a bite, sure they weren't that considerate she thought to herself.

" Took you long enough we've been waiting" Ace spoke up.

" I'm sorry I'm not used to having breakfast " she told him as she took a seat.

" Why not?" he asked her as he took a bite of his pancakes.

" Money was always tight, couldn't afford to eat three meals a day" she told him.

" Your parents wouldn't help you?" Max spoke up.

Mae didn't answer she just put her head down " I don't want to talk about my parents" she spoke.

" Like we care anyways" Ace spoke rolling his eyes.

" Good don't care" she said not being able to stop herself.

Ace slammed his hand onto the table causing it to shake and Mae flinch " This is our problem with you. Whenever we actually try and be nice and getting know you, you turn into a b***h. How would you feel if we just stopped trying altogether?" he asked glaring at her.

" It's fine with me. You guys don't want anything to do with me as a mate remember " she said to him looking directly into his eyes not backing down.

He smirked " You're either very brave or foolish making eye contact with me" he told her.

Beside him Katherine sighed and left the room without saying anything. Ace didn't follow he just stayed staring at her. Neither of them broke eye contact.

" Ace let's just eat and get out of here we have stuff to do" Kai spoke up.

It was Ace that eventually broke the eye contact. Once they finished breakfast they left the room as Mae was still eating. She was fine with it, it let her eat in peace anyway. Since she had no responsibilities or anything to do she figured she may as well go for a swim. She went upstairs and changed into her black bikini and grabbed a towel and headed downstairs to the pool.

She found sunblock in her bathroom too the last thing she wanted was to burn. When she made her way to the pool she sat down on a chair and rubbed sunblock into her legs and arms before jumping into the pool. She did a few laps before getting out and drying herself with a towel. She was bending over drying her legs when she smelt him, Ace.

" What do you think you're doing?" he spoke from behind her.

" Swimming, is that a problem"? she asked him.

" I'm not blind I can see you were swimming, I'm talking about you being in that bathing suit bending over like that. Are you just asking for someone to bend you over and f**k you?" he asked as he was staring at her.

The thought got her hot even though she didn't want it to " No?" she asked glaring back at him.

" I don't believe you. I think you would give anything for me to be inside of you" he spoke getting closer to you.

" Nope" she spoke trying to remain calm. Stupid mate bond she thought to herself.

" Sure. You really do need to cover up though. The male staff don't need to see you like that and get ideas into their heads" he told her as he turned to walk away.

" What's wrong with getting attention from the staff? At least they would be nice to me" she asked and he turned around.

He slapped her hard and put a hand around her throat " Don't start with me little slut. I'm in charge of you and you'll do what I say, and what I'm telling you is to cover yourself got it?" he asked her.

She was gasping for breath and clawing at his hand trying to get him to let go. All she could do was nod and he instantly let go of her and walked away. She started to shake once she caught her breath not only was that scary and she thought he was going to kill her. She could feel she was slightly aroused how stupid was she. There came a cough behind her.

" Are you alright?" Kai asked her.

" Like you care" she said to him.

He shrugged his shoulders " Not really. But I know how much of an asshole Ace can be" he told her.

" I'm fine" she responded.

He nodded " Well alright then. Also, how was that arousing to you? I can smell you from awhile away?" he asked her as he licked his bottom lip.

" I don't know" she responded.

" I think you secretly like that were testing you like s**t. You're f****d up in the head" he told her as his eyes went down to her chest.

" Just about as f****d up as you all are" she told him.

He smirked " Fair point. Nice t**s " he told her as he walked away.

She rolled her eyes what the f**k is wrong with these guys? And more importantly what was wrong with her?
