Chapter 5: Finding Celestial Guardian

"I'll see you around," said the guy who just saved my life, "By the way, I'm Rupert Luxembourg." He's almost one foot taller than me with a fair complexion, wavy hair with a clean-cut, a pair of brown eyes, and a pointed nose, "See you around." he walks inside the campus left me in awe.

"Are you alright?" Talia asked. "You're susceptible to accidents."

"I'm ok," I replied. "Let's keep going, guys."

"You seemed to be awestruck by that Eagle guy." Hans chuckling at me.

"No, I'm not." a calm tone of denial. Well, I obviously was, but I will not admit that.

"Ok. You say so." Hans said.

We reached the youngsters building passing through the preschoolers who were having their physical exercises. Our homeroom is located on the first floor, so it's easy to get there. Hans and I were about to get inside the green door when Talia stopped.

"What's the matter?" Hans asked her.

"Do I really go with you guys?" Talia was obviously nervous.

"Of course, you silly!" Hans laughed. "Don't you trust your scroll?"

"I felt like I missed a lot yesterday. I don't know. I got jitters." She said.

"Stop it. Let's go in." Hans tagged her in, and I followed.

Kori is already in the classroom.

"Oh, hey!" Kori warmly greeted. "You must be Talia Astarte from the first district of West. Welcome aboard!" she called Talia.

My brows met when somebody caught my attention.

"Hi!" Hans waved at him, and he waved back.

"Good morning Estudiantes de Primiera Academia!" Kori greeted, "I would like all of you to stand up because we are having your seats rearranged. Everyone, stand right there at the back already. Wait for my call and sit where I asked you to. Are we in agreement?"

We scattered at the back, waiting for Kori's call. There was a total of twenty-four vacant seats, but were only 16 in this class— that means the remaining chairs and table will remain empty.

"First four people that I will call will also be the first group." Kori reads something on her folder, "So, let me have Miss Xanthal Jones, Lord Randall Pandora. Please be seated here." she points to the first two seats in front of the window. "And then Lord Hamilton Jèan Les Voir, please take the seat at the back of Miss Xanthal. And to complete the first group, may I have Miss Ninna Adorre to be seated beside Lord Hamilton."

"Gosh, I hope we will be in the same group," Talia whispered, clinging to my forearm.

"For group number two, may I call Young Master Hermenigildus Hans Salazaria, Miss Talia Astarte." Kori continued, "Then Prince Rupert Luxembourg, please seat at the back of Miss Talia and Lady Hasmin Pandora, at the back of Lord Hans."

Talia and I exchanged a surprised look. Like, why do they have to be in one group? And they are with the prince. The guy who saved me is a prince. I hope the palace guards won't jail me up.

"Down to our third group, we will have Prince Roux Luxembourg, Miss Zera Foster. Please take these seats." Kori tapping on the fifth and sixth table, "Then, Lady Heavenly Victoria Pandora, please be seated at the back of Prince Roux and Honorable Junior Councilor— Young Master Brighton Luke Salazaria at the back of Miss Zera Foster." Kori took a breath and went back to her table to get to drink from her water jug.

The three other people with me looking at each other. So, were the fourth group.

"Now, the fourth group: Lady Winslett and Lord Aldano Evan Echavaria." she looks at them and instructs them where to sit. "And of course, Lady Althea West at the back of Lord Evan and one of the new guys here, Young Master Imman Holster at the back of Lady Winslett."

Talia and Hans both eyed me and smiled at each other... They're trying to tease me.

"Everyone now has their permanent seats," Kori said with a happy face. "As you could notice, each group has one Natural Skill, Mind skill, Elemental Skill, and Kinesthetic Skill. Let's tackle it."

In Kingdom Majarlika, there were four types of Special Skills.

Natural skills are a type of Skill that convert themselves into something of nature such as animal, copying other humans as camouflage or shapeshifting, a guise to surrounding, producing minerals such as gold, pearl, silver, crystal, diamond and etc., also people who can breathe life into an object and healing powers.

Kinesthetic Skills don't transform into something else, but they have a different level of strength, an exaggerated power, compared to the normal ones. Examples: defying gravity is commonly known as flying or levitating, sonic speed, multiplying themselves into more than one identical self, super strength, teleport, shrinking themselves or making themselves big, ultra stretching power, jumping sky-high, breathing underwater for life, or mermaid skill.

Mind skill is the ability to walk through; read; talk through your mind. Telepathy is a popular mind skill. Quantum tunneling, also known for 'passing-through-the-wall.' Suspends someone's motion, commands through her mind not limited to sleeping, creating an illusion, via hypnotism, controls object with touching it, see other people dream and adventure on it and invisibility.

Elemental Skills, for an apparent reason, is a skill where one person can control elements. Like who we have here, they can command water, fire, earth, and air to go a particular direction or do something for them or give it a different shape. Some other commanders can control rain, storm, cyclones, thunder and lightning, hailstorm, tidal waves and tsunami, and tornado.

"Maestra!" the bright student called Kori.

"Yes, Young Master Brighton, do you have a question?" Kori asked. "Please stand up."

He then stood up, "Is there a possibility that one person can have 2 different skills at the same time?", "I'm not sure if anyone knows about the mutation of DNAs when a person is an offspring of a supernatural and a mutant."

"Well, Brighton, that's actually correct." Kori said, "Um, please be seated. There's a DNA mutation if a person is an offspring of a supernatural and a mutant. They are the ones who most probably develop 2 different skills. BUT it is not always the situation. You will tackle that in your Episteme later with Maestro Augustus."

Kori went back in front and added few more words below the first four words:

Celestial. Deity» Minor, Major. Majarlican.

Which are the types of being in Kingdom Majarlika.

Majarlican requires a physical body. We have the functions and systems like the human— if you heard about them but what makes us different from them is that we possess this Skill since we are zygotes. Here in Kingdom Majarlika, we have mutated humans who went through Experimento de Episteme; that's why they have powers or skills. Some Majarlican like me is half mutant and half supernatural because one of our parents is not born in Majarlika.

Celestials are the Great Almighty's army to war against the rebellious ones, but some of those Celestials were or will be sent to us for their particular mission. They really don't stay long among us nor with humans, but it depends on their mission. Celestials have five animal faces, three pairs of wings— the smallest belongs to their eyes, the biggest on their back, and one on each foot. They said to have wings on their eyes to cover it when facing the Great Almighty because His gloriousness can kill you if you are not of a pure heart.

Deities have minor and significant. Deities are powerful immortal beings but less than the Great Almighty. The major is the gods like Hades, god of the underworld, Zeus, god of the Sky, Poseidon, god of the sea, Aphrodite, god of love and beauty, just to name some. The minor is the half-god and half-mortal, which includes human or supernatural– they are also known as the demigods. The famous demigod is Minos, son of Zeus, Neleus, son of Poseidon, and Orpheus, son of Apollo.

Kori: This is the only trivia but, I heard from the Prime Council that the Chief of Celestial Guardians has sent down one of his apprentices to a special mission. He could be one of us, I guess.

Prince Roux: Is there any way or like a sign, maybe, for us to know if he is among us?" Prince Roux asked.

Kori: Well, if he is Incarnated, no. Not unless he will show up.

Brighton: Maestra Kornalina, I want to know if there is a possibility that a Majarlican person is a half Celestial being too?

The class couldn't hide their giggles.

Kori: Why are you guys laughing? It's a good question, Brighton, but sadly it's not possible. Celestial beings do not have real emotions, which is a requirement in a relationship. According to the Law of Celestial Guardians, if they request to be a mortal, they will lose all their memory which is limited to a court order.

Hans: Isn't that unfortunate that Celestials do not feel emotions out of all creatures? I mean, the gods, humans, mutants, and Majarlicans feels it.

Brighton: In my opinion, that is what makes them stronger because emotions only get it the way of someone to have the things correctly done.

Deadpan silence echoed for a second.

Kori: Alright, both of you have an excellent point. Before we go to our activity, any other questions?

Hamilton: Why are the deities not among us?

Kori: Because the law does not allow it anymore. You will discuss The treaty of Majarlican and deities later in law subject. While we still have time, please fall in line, and we're going to the gymnasium.

We did as Kori instructed. We then walked across the building. The gymnasium isn't that far, we entered, and there's a mini field on it. There's rock, sand, grass, torch on the walls, an open roof, and a channel of water on the side.

"Attention, youngsters," Kori said, "You need to group yourselves into four according to your skills. I will just activate the shield for protection, and I will call you to step inside." she then went inside the field.

Do I belong to the Kinesthetics? Mind, maybe? I honestly do not know.

Talia was able to find her group with Zera, Randall, and Winslett very easily. Hans grouped himself with Hamilton and Imman. Evan, Heavenly, Ninna, and Prince Rupert were just like reuniting the royalties in their blissful appearance. Hasmin, Xanthal, and Prince Roux group themselves too. It's only me and Brighton who don't have a group yet.

"It's hard to pretend that you belong to one of these groups, right?" someone whispered to me.

"Excuse me?" I frowned at him. I looked maybe very guilty, but who cares.

He gave me such a meaningful stare.

"You go with Hans' group. It's easier for us to defend that you are Kinesthetic than a Mind-Skilled. I will go with quantum deviants." he whispered to me, then he went to Hasmin's group.

I'm feeling nervous right now. Does this guy know about me? How does he know then? No. I'm rejecting it. Prince Rupert is the celestial guardian. I stomped my feet towards the Kinesthetics.

"You're with us, huh?" Hamilton asked in a smirking face.

"Dude, you're sarcastic. Stop that already. You don't even know how powerful Althea is." Hans covering me from his back, "And besides, about yesterday, you should be grateful she did not report you for such negligence." Hans said. "Tss. Team Captain."

Imman put his hand on Hamilton's shoulder, "Captain, take it easy."

Kori is back from making a shield around the gymnasium. "Youngsters, please step inside the shield."

We all gathered inside the shield.

"Now, we are here for us to be able to see everyone's Skill. So may I please have the elemental commanders?" Kori said, "Kindly try to show us how you can command an element. But children, please be careful, just do it very lightly."

Zera started up by holding a tiny tornado in her left hand. Followed by Winslett, who drew out the water from the channel and formed a small ball. Talia lighted up her pointer finger with fire— it looked like a candle. Lastly, Randall stomped his left foot, and the sand formed like a 6 feet post on his back.

"That's very nice. Great job, youngsters!" Kori clapped, and so did the rest of the class. "Next will be the Nature people."

Evan, the brown-skin tall guy with broad shoulders, removed his upper garment that showed his nicely toned body. He then became an enormous wolf. Then, Prince Rupert spread his big eagle wings, flew on the ceiling briefly, and then landed gracefully. Next is Ninna, who has been talking to Heavenly for some time now. She pulls off a needle and scratches her hands— blood was running very slow. She started crying, and tiny shiny pearls went down from her face. Heavenly took the needle from Ninna and pinched herself with it. I think she cried because she wiped something from her face and then touched Ninna's hand where she had scratched herself- Miraculously, the blood and the cut were gone.

In my opinion, showing off the skills of these beautiful girls is quite challenging and is a lowkey sacrifice.

"Amazing!" Kori said. "Now, the Kinesthetics, please."

I felt shivers all over my body. Like? I don't know what to show these people!

Our group stepped on the center.

Hamilton showed off how he flies without wings. Hans took a leaf from a tree at the back and returned to our position in 3 seconds.

Imman looked at me first, "Would you like to be the last one?" he whispered.

I nodded.

He then stepped forward. The whole place is now filled with many Imman Holster. It felt like we were being invaded. I'm not sure where this feeling came from. Then in ten seconds, only one Imman was left, the one who was beside me.

It's my turn, and I feel the same jitters. I saw Brighton whispered to Talia, and she created a fireball and threw it in my way. I looked at it very carefully, like it was the only thing around me.

I hear the sound of it fighting with the other atoms. My hands were ready to catch it.

The fireball is in my hand! This doesn't feel hot at all. I closed my right hand where I put it... this needs deep concentration for me to fully absorb the power... One, two, three. I raised my hand in the air, and the fireball reappeared on my hand, but this time it was blazing blue then threw on the channel of water around this gymnasium— the liquid instantly dry.

The whole class clapped.

"That was great Kinesthetics!" Kori said. "We're down to the Mind-skilled people."

Our group stepped aside already.

"Now you're a skill-stealer?" Hamilton threw another insult on me.

I'm torn between setting him ablaze with the last drop of firepower I have and just shutting up and focus on the class.

The Mind-Skilled started off with Hasmin as she passed through the post that Randall created. Xanthal disappears with a cloud of white smoke. Their head turned left and right to look for her, then she reappeared after ten seconds on the same spot. The next one on their group is Prince Roux– another person to disappear on us, but right on the sand post, the letters: I - N - V - I - S - I - B - L - E was written one by one, then he reappeared standing next to it. The bright student stepped forward.

Suddenly, Hamilton loses expression on his face then walks towards the performing group in the middle. He was looking at Brighton and levitate upside down, five inches above the ground. We are all laughing except for Brighton and Hamilton. They stayed like that for three minutes of fun.

Brighton stepped back and smiled, looking at us. In ten seconds, Hamilton fell from the air face down. Everyone is now laughing at him, and he doesn't even know what happened. He runs towards our group.

"Dude, what happened?" he asked Hans.

"You levitate upside down and fell on the ground. That's what happened." Hans trying to stop smiling.

"Really?" he asked in shock and embarrassment.

"The Mind skilled hypnotized you," Imman answered.

"Who among them?" Hamilton asked angrily.

"The junior counselor," Imman replied.

He looked at me. It was time to revenge, so I looked at him from toe to head and smirking a bit. He was so annoyed. I'm glad.

Kori: Class, listen up! We will continue with this activity tomorrow, so we will all go here in the morning for my class. Ok?

Class: Yes, Maestra.

Kori: You may go back to your room now.

Our class stepped out of the gymnasium.
