“Wow, Gittie must do some extensive advertising! I can’t believe that every cabin has been filled all week.” Nicole finished unloading the dishwasher while Velinda cut up vegetables.
“Hmph. You can just keep on hopin’ for that vacation you thought you were gettin’. But it ain’t gonna happen, I can tell you that.”
“Oh, Velinda, I’d be bored to tears if things weren’t busy. Especially with the crappy weather all week. I’m surprised, that’s all. I didn’t even know guest ranches like this existed a few weeks ago, let alone that they’d be popular with so many foreigners.” She leaned past Velinda to pull out a muffin pan.
“Do you mind not shovin’ me aside, girl? You know the routine by now. I don’t need you changin’ stuff all the time.”
