Maybe I was crazy...

“Talk.” Jasmine sat on my bed, her legs crossed under her as her eyes looked at me dead in the eye. That view would scare me if I didn’t know her for so long. She knew how to be scary, but I knew how to don’t care. But still... I owed her that. In fact I should have told her everything from the beginning. But I felt like it wasn’t my secret. I felt like Midnight would be mad with me if I talked about him to her. “What do you want to know?” I asked her and she glared at me. Why? I don’t know. “What do you mean with what I want to know? You are going to tell me everything. EVERYTHING!!!” I glued my eyes on the floor. Memories of the night I met Midnight flashed in my mind and I blushed lightly. The reason why, I didn’t know, but it felt too private to talk about it with Jasmine. I didn"t like to talk about boys with anyone. I was one of the kind who wanted to keep it all for herself. True, that Midnight was only my friend, but it still felt private. It was like I was talking with my mom about what I talk with Jasmine. And believe me when I say that she doesn"t have to know all of those things. Her heart wouldn"t bare it. “He entered my room in the midnight once and since then he had came to see me every night.” I talked as fast as I could, not wanting to talk about it any longer. It was a very uncomfortable situation for me. “Ryder!!! I want details. DETAILS GIRL!” She shouted at me punching my arm hard. A swear escaped my mouth as I rubbed my arm from the pain. It looked like she was so eager to hear everything, she didn’t care who would get hurt on the way. “I... Ugh!!! Fine.” Finally I gave up and with the most horrible blush in the world and avoiding eye contact, I told her everything. How Midnight came in my room. How he was hurt, and I just helped him. I told her that he came to thank me the other night and that he promised me he would come to see me every night. And while I was saying all of these... I knew I would miss Midnight a lot if he would stop appearing in my room. I realized that he was important to me even though I had only a few days I have known him. It felt like I had years knowing him. "Owww. This is so romantic. It looks like a version of Cinderella"s story." Jasmine said with dreamy eyes with her hands on her heart. "Cinderella my ass." I punched her arm lightly and she laughed at my blushing face. Blushing it was something I could never avoid. Never control. “Why he doesn"t show his face? Or his name? Why all the boys are like this? Trying to look badass and cool and mysterious. Just stop bullshitting around and show yourself!” Her voice sounded irritated. A laugh escaped my mouth at my best friend"s outburst. But slowly I calmed down till only a smile was all it was left from my laughter. I was smiling at the dark figure of Midnight. At the image of his lips smiling. “I don’t mind it, really.” The words escaped my mouth. “You are crazy.” Jasmine said and I laughed again. “Maybe I am.” I whispered this time so she wouldn’t hear me. Maybe I was crazy... *** There were days like this when I couldn’t help and feel lazy the whole day. I would be too lazy to even talk or keep my eyes open. But again I had to go to school. There was no way of escape from that place. The first period I had Biology. When I entered the class I was already late, but my eyes noticed Marcus. He was sitting on his usual seat. From his face I could say he looked panicked. His eyes looked around the class in horror, eying up every girl. If one of them talked to him, his eyes would go wide. I know it was mean coming from me, but I felt like laughing. The teacher was talking about the lesson, even though no one was paying attention, when the door opened and Aiden entered the classroom. I stared at him confused as he noticed me and smiled. Holy Jolly! “Hi.” He said to the teacher who turned to Aiden and looked at him pissed for interrupting his lesson. Like anyone was hearing anyway. “I have been moved to this class.” Aiden handed the teacher a small paper. The last, nodded while he was looking at it. “Take a seat.” Aiden nodded and walked towards me. He took a seat next to mine and smiled at me warmly. “Hi.” “Hi.” I muttered blushing lightly as I felt butterflies in my stomach. Silly and so girlish but I couldn"t help it. I tried my best to don’t look at Aiden, but my eyes would go to him time to time and most of it he was looking at me smiling. He was so sweet for God"s sake. Like honey... A light bump against the table got my attention and I turned around to see Marcus with his head against the table. He kept doing it for a while, and I wanted to laugh so badly. Slowly I took my phone from my pocket and texted to him, making sure the teacher wasn’t looking at me. He was staring at the board while muttering something really concentrated. Hi babe! ;) I heard the low buzz coming from his phone. After just to seconds I heard a light gasp and a small cry of desperation. The poor guy was going crazy. A small laugh escaped my lips. Leave me the f*****g alone you crazy woman. I bit the inside of my cheek to don’t laugh. For sure he would kill me if he found out I was the one texting him those creepy messages. Who said I was a woman? ;) You’re a man???? I turned around to see Marcus staring at the screen more pale than ever and I wasn’t sure if he was breathing or not. The urge to laugh was so big, I had to put my whole hand in my mouth to don’t make any sound. My shoulders shook furiously as I felt like I couldn’t breath. Honey! You’re so sexy and all, but you’re not funny. You have hurt my delicate feelings. I’m dumping you! You"re leaving me? o.O Yes. I have found someone else. Goodbye pretty ass. “YES!!!” Marcus jumped off his seat with his fists in the air while his lips looked like were reaching his ears from the huge smile in his face. “Detention!” The teacher yelled at Marcus angry who shrugged not even caring a little bit. “Gladly!” He shouted back and left the classroom signing and talking to himself. If I could stop myself from laughing two minutes ago, now it was impossible. The laughter hit me hard and my voice echoed through the classroom as my face turned so red I probably looked like I was going to explode. Everyone"s eyes were on me, but I was too busy laughing my lungs out, I didn’t care. I should have expected that reaction from Marcus, but witnessing it... Oh my God I need to breath. “Quinn!” The teacher practically screamed my name, but I was laughing so hard I couldn’t hear him. One hundred percent I looked like I had gone crazy. But dear God, that was hilarious. “Quinn!!!” This time the ball rang and now no one was paying attention to the crazy girl laughing. Firstly Marcus shouts out of the blue and walks out of the classroom with a huge grin in his face and then I start laughing my lungs out again out of the blue. I tried to take a few deep breathes to calm down as I whipped a few tears away that I didn’t know had escaped my eyes. “Are you okay?” A hand placed on my back and the laugh died in just one second. “Yeah!” I blushed hard. “What were you texting to Marcus?” He asked and my face became pale. If he would tell Marcus I was texting him, I had to say goodbye to this world. Marcus would go Hulk on me and for fair reasons. “I... he... I...” Wow. I’m so good with words. His face became emotionless and that scared me. It wasn’t in his nature to don’t be sweet and don’t smile. It scared me. “Are you two dating?” I choked on my saliva. Why would he think that? It’s not like I have spent time with Marcus and talk to him. I’m sure I haven’t talked to him once. Now it was mean to prank someone so badly when he hasn’t done anything to you but it was a joke. Look how happy was he when I said I would leave him alone. He was so happy that he gladly took a detention. “No. I haven’t talked to him once.” I said between chokes and looked how Aiden’s face slowly turned into a confused one before giving me a smile. “Oh.” He said. “I wanted to ask you about something." Bum-bum bum-bum. I was pretty sure he could hear my heart beating up so fast. It echoed through my ears and it looked like it was out of control. “This weekend is my birthday and I’m throwing a party. Do you want to come?” Is this for real. Please someone, anyone, punch me in my face. I have to wake up from this dream. Even though it is a wonderful dream and I don’t actually want to wake up. “Yes.” I have no idea where did my voice came from, or what made it come out. But I answered him. *** I glued my eyes to the blue sky as white clouds floated in it slowly, calmly. It was a little windy but it wasn’t cold. The wind blew away some leaves from the branches of the tree, flying them away. I felt so calm and happy. Here... lied down in the green grass which was turning brown slowly. The shadow of the tree next to me, covered my face as I looked at the sky with a smile on my face. I was in park. Usually I came here when I needed to think, but today I just wanted to look at the sky and smile. I was happy, that was for sure. And nothing was bothering me. What could upset me? My crush invited me to his party, my best friend is crazy and I have a mysterious guy visiting me every night. A face blocked the view and I frowned sitting up as I looked up to a handsome guy. He was smiling at me. His brown hair was all over its place and his brown eyes were looking at me. Why did that view clicked something in me? “Hi pretty girl.” The boy smiled. I looked at him confused. “Do you need accompany?” “No... thank you. I was going in fact.” I answered him getting up, taking my backpack from the ground and throwing it on my back. “See you later pretty girl.” The boy said behind my back as I walked away...
