“I Daphne Waterlily of the Waterlily Pack reject Alpha Gabriel Moonchild of the Blood Orchid Pack as my mate and alpha.” The girl says looking at me.
“God Daph think about it. You are giving up your fated mate to be with him.” A girl says.
“I know, but I love him.” She says.
If that’s what she wants. “I Alpha Gabriel Moonchild of the Blood Orchid Pack accept your rejection. Enjoy your life, what is left of it.” I say to her. Then I turn to go.
“Wait what of the peace talks you are here for?” Their Alpha asks me. I turn to look at him. I feel Alexander clawing at my subconscious trying to get out.
“Trust me it’s best if I go.” I say to him.
“But we need to have the peace talks. To ensure the safety of my pack.”
I walk away from him. As I walk out of their territory I link my beta. ‘Get the women and children into the tunnels, and the warriors to the boarders. The lines need to take their positions.’
‘Peace talks failed? If so they need to worry about their pack and not try to attack ours. We will wipe them out.’ He links back.
‘No my mate was there.’
‘Cool so when should we expect the two of you?’
‘Just me, Waterlily stole my mate. He is lucky I held Alexander at bay. He tried to get me to stay for the peace talks. I will be home in the two hours it takes to run.’ I let him know then shut off my pack link. ‘Moon Goddess don’t make me wait long for my second chance mate.’ I pray as I shift, then I take off through the woods between our packs. I get home and see my beta waiting by the entrance to the pack. I shift back into my human body and walk up to him.
“All is quiet here.” He tells me.
“I wonder why they didn’t attack.”
“You are the killer alpha,” he says to me rolling his eyes. “According to everyone who doesn’t know you, you kill everyone in your way.”
I laugh at that and look at him. “I am going to let the women and children out of the tunnels. Call the warriors back and dismiss the lines.”
“Yes sir.” He tells me, as I walk away from him.
I am walking into the territory and get outside the pack house. I smell strawberries and cream. I follow the smell into the pack house kitchen.
