I walk into the kitchen and see her standing at the sink. “Why are you here and not in the tunnels with the rest?” I ask her.

“Delta Jackson told me to stay. I did what delta said to.” She says backing away from me. I growl because she is backing away from me.

“How old are you?” I ask her.

“Seventeen, I turn eighteen tomorrow.” She says to me as her back hits the counter. I close the distance between us. She tries to get away from me.

“Mine.” I growl at her. She stops and looks at me. ‘Jackson get your ass into the kitchen now. Jax you too.’ I link my beta and delta. My beta gets in first. “I said all women and children.” I growl out, as my delta walks in.

“I was sacrificing one for many.” My delta says. I turn and growl at him then grab him by his neck. His eyes go wide.

“Dude what’s wrong with you?” My beta says.

“She is my mate.” I growl out, fighting Alexander who wants to come out and defend our mate.

“Dude you a scaring her.” My beta says. I turn and look at her.

“Don’t be afraid of us.” I tell her. She shakes her head at me. “We won’t hurt you, no one will hurt you again.” Alexander tells her.

“Alpha, can you put him down please.” She asks me. I drop my delta. And walk back to her. “Please don’t hurt me.” She whispers. Making Alexander whimper in my head.

I see my pack members starting to walk in. “Come with me.” I say grabbing her arm pulling her behind me.

“Alpha she needs to fix our dinner.” Yasmine says as I pass her. I look at her and growl. “I guess we can wait until you are done talking with her.” She says.

“Fix your own damn food. It’s not her concern anymore what you eat.” I tell her. “That goes for everyone.” I add. I pull her to my quarters and let her go. I close the door behind us.

“Alpha…” she starts to talk but Alexander growls at her.

‘Alexander you are going to scare her more than she already is.’ I tell him. “Gabriel, call me Gabriel or Gabe.” I tell her. “What is your name?”

“Everyone calls me slave.” Is her response. “But once upon a time I was called Luna.” She says.

“Well you are my Luna. Luna Luna.” I say. Then I stop and think. “Luna daughter of George and Cindy?” I ask her.

“Yes.” She says looking at the floor.

‘Why pair me with her?’ I ask the moon goddess.

‘She needs protection the most.’ Is the reply I get. ‘Now choose, accept or reject her.’

“I Alpha Gabriel Moonchild accept Luna Rose as my mate and luna.” I say then look at her.

“I accept your mate claim and accept you as my alpha.” She says. I walk over and mark her mine.
