~Aliyah’s POV~
His fingers were soft… I didn’t expect a man’s hands to be so soft.
Werewolves also possess super-healing abilities, but still, their skin never remains smooth. But Louis’s was different.
He was supposed to be cold; his touch was supposed to feel icy, but it was warm and… I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I felt at home. His touch didn’t scare me; it felt safe.
His gaze wasn’t piercing, instead, he looked worried for me. I didn’t think he would show any kind of affection towards me, but the worry in his pretty icy grey eyes, with a hint of fear, made my heart flutter.
I know I shouldn’t be thinking like this… I shouldn’t be feeling like this… This was not what I expected or prayed for myself, but I couldn’t help it. The look and feel of his worried, icy grey eyes and the warmth of his big, soft, smooth hands keep caressing my mind and heart. Soothing it in ways I didn't think it would.
“He is the reason for all your suffering,” Lizzy said in my head.
He is, but how do I stop feeling the pull towards him? How do I stop the feelings that are unknown to me?
I was fated to him.
I'm meant to feel the pull. The bond between us.
No matter how much we deny, we are meant for each other. Even if we don't end up together.
“That’s the best that I have seen in the past three years,” Ellen laughed.
She was the only one enjoying this more than anyone.
“Best? Then why the f**k don’t you tell him that this wasn’t our fault? Why don’t you stop him from blindfolding and gagging the mouth of the body you stay in?” Lizzy growled at Ellen.
I want to know this too. Ellen was furious only when someone bit me. Other than that, she has done nothing to get us out of here.
“First, I wanted both of you to suffer. I was enjoying it. And now, I will claim my man and stand by his side,” She chirped.
She is indeed a vicious b***h.
“Oh, I am,” She smirked.
I was thinking about how she would try to convince him when the door of the room opened and three people walked inside.
I sat straight against the wall and gazed straight at them. The two guys were vampires, and the woman was a witch. I could sense her aura, but I couldn’t understand why she was here.
Almost every witch knows Aunt Cassie and they fear for their lives when it comes to wrongdoings against anyone by them.
Especially when it concerns royals in any way. Then why was she here?
She was short, around 4’11 with some grey hairs mixed in her black Bob cut hair. Dressed in a laced maxi dress, she looked peaceful but I knew she wasn’t. If she was working them, then for sure she wasn’t peaceful at all.
“I’m amazed you haven’t done anything to her yet,” She said to those vampires.
“Oh, we did. It’s just she healed way too quickly,” The one with green eyes said.
“Why wouldn’t she? After all, she is a hybrid…” The other one with grey eyes said.
Why do his eyes match so much with Louis’s?
Not only his eyes, but his jaw and brows… It’s the same as Louis. Even the one with green eyes has the same features as Louis. They looked almost like each other… Like twins.
Could it be…?
No… It shouldn’t be… It can't be.
But, whatever it was, I don’t feel scared of these two guys. I don’t know why and how, but somehow they don’t scare me at all.
“Do the needful,” The grey-eyed vampire said.
“Can you also bind her elemental powers as well?” The green-eyed one asked.
What the heck does he mean, also? Why was she here?
“She is an elemental wolf as well?” The woman asked with furrowed brows.
They both nodded their heads while I chuckled; the pitch of her tone and her nervous eyes told me she knew a lot about me. Of course, my hybrid identity was hidden from the world to keep me safe, but my family and family’s connections weren’t.
“What’s funny?” The green-eyed one snapped at me.
Bored, I took my gaze to the witch, which angered that vampire, and he appeared in front of me in a snap. His sudden appearance in front of me made me jump, and my eyes widened.
“Don’t throw attitude on my face.”
The green-eyed vampire hissed and moved forward, but he was stopped in the middle by the other, “You know the instructions well. Come, let her do the work and leave.”
"He won't do anything to us," The green eyed one smirked, a hissing sound came out of his mouth.
"But we cannot go against him," The other one insisted.
What instructions? What were they talking about?
Both of them stepped away, and the witch nodded to them.
“Cooperate,” The grey-eyed vampire said.
As if I have another option.
He swiftly turned me around, making me face the wall, and I shrieked. I don’t like people touching me… Especially vampires.
“Louis is one,” Ellen intervened.
“Shut the f**k up! It’s not the time to argue!” Lizzy growled at her.
And yet they were doing that.
I could feel someone sitting behind me, the scent told me it was the witch, and I heard her sigh against my ear, “Don’t try to fight them. You will not win as long as you are here."
I wish I could tell her that she has enlisted her name in the list of the people that my family wants to kill. And being a witch… Aunt Cassie would wipe her out on her own.
She put something around my wrist and said, “Done.”
What the heck did she put around my wrist?
“And what about her elemental powers?” One of the vampires asked.
“They can’t be bound. It’s not in any witch’s power to control that strength. It’s beyond us,” She said.
“Then I will make sure she doesn’t breathe under the sky,” His voice reached my ears.
All the thoughts that I had earlier about him started to drown.
Who the f**k was I kidding?
It was all mate bond’s doing. A few seconds of worry can never replace the hatred he has for me in his cold, non-beating heart. He was a monster before meeting me, and will be a monster.
“Turn her around,” A woman said.
Now, who the heck was she?
I was again turned to face the door, I couldn’t walk out roughly and swiftly. My eyes fell on the woman who had the same green eyes as that vampire, but she looked disgusting.
Where he looked handsome, she looked like a pale Dracula dressed in black jeans and a laced crop top with a deep sweetheart neck, which showed her boobs perfectly. Her lips were red, as if she drank blood before coming here, while her hair was brunette.
I don’t know why, but I don’t have a good feeling towards this vampire.
“Neither do I,” Ellen hissed in my head.
So we finally agree on something…
My eyes fell on Louis, who showed no affection or emotion as earlier, and I swallowed the guilt of thinking about him. He was not worth it.
He may be the fated one, but he will never be the chosen one.
“Are you sure it’s done?” He asked the witch.
“You can try,” She answered.
“But who will confirm?” The female vampire asked.
Louis gazed at me and smirked, “Wait for a few minutes. I have sent my insider there to make sure our task has been done correctly.”
There?
“You mean at her clan?” The grey-eyed one asked.
“Yup.”
What…? An insider in my clan?
