You'll never know the cruel reality of life until you lose someone you love more than anything, someone who took the responsibility of you even when she didn't have much, you'll never know how precious someone is until you lose them, for good.

my whole world turned dark immediately that nurse entered the room  

''she what for goodness sake!'' the king exclaimed 

''she, she made it''

i stormed out immediately, I see my mum being rolled back to her room

''doctor is my mum really okay, is she really going to be fine''

he smiles at me '' You can say God has answered your prayers, everything's fine now, she just needs to rest ''

I couldn't explain the joy and relief I felt I literally sat on the floor crying my heart out, I was so scared, I thought she was gone for sure

___________ I watched my mum as she was asleep, I just couldn't sleep after everything, the king quietly enters the room

'' hows she?'' He whispers 

'' fast asleep, but the doctor says everything's fine now''

''am glad to hear that''

''I really can't thank you enough, am so happy''

''it's okay, is the least I can do''

'' but I really can't live with you, I can't leave her by herself, after everything that happened, I can't possibly take her out of my sight''

he lets out a sigh'' what if you both come to the palace''

'' what!''

''I mean yeah, it's safer,  the public now knows who you are and to guarantee your safety you and your mum come to stay in the palace, it is your birth home you know''

'' i mean-''

'' No excuses it's final, try to get some sleep okay I have something to take care of, I'll see you later '' he turns to leave

''but-'' I hear the door shut

''I heard what happened to your mum, and I knew you might need some company''

I let a sigh '' anyone else but you'' he walks to me and grabs me close to him, we were just nose apart

'' You are my everything victoria'' he whispered, which sent electric waves all over my body ''I hate seeing you like this, it hurts me, let me help you feel better'' I close my eyes, I pout my lips, I could feel his breathing getting heavier and heavier, I could almost feel his lips touch mine when

I immediately raise my head up'' am up, am up'' I use my hands to rub my eyes as I yawn, I spot my mum sitting up and smiling at me, I give her a hug, she hugs me back so tightly

''I thought I lost you'' we separate from the hug

'' Now why would you think that'' I hug her back

''I was so scared, are you okay?''

she giggles ''of course I feel great, just a bit weak'' she groans we separate from the hug, I clean the tears on my eyes

'' you should rest mum I'll go call the doctor'' I leave the room, I see bodyguards still around, hmm don't they sleep

I see a doctor passing by

''excuse me sir'' he stops, I walk towards him

'' yes, can I help you?''

'' yeah, my mum, shes awake''

''oh okay, room 404 right'' I nod yes '' I'll go check on her right now''

'' thank you'' the king had my mum move to a more expensive room yesterday 

my eyes spot Anna wearing a black dress with a bright red hat, walking towards me with her dad, she sees me and waves, I do the same

''hey, when did you get the chance to go home and change''

''what do you mean, its 2 pm and why are you still wearing the same outfit of yesterday?'' s**t, how long did I sleep

'' is your mum okay, is she awake?'' Anna's dad asked

''yes she is, the doctor is attending to her'' Anna's dad goes ahead, Anna looks round

''so the hot guards are still here, is Mason-''

''no, and I don't think he'll come back knowing his stalker is here'' she whines

''but am his sisters best friend'' I just laugh 

''come on let's get something to eat'' we were about walking when we bumped into steve

''Steve, what are you doing here?''

he raises two full paper bags ''you hungry?''

___________ we are sitting at the hospital lobby, I tried my best not to be obvious while I was eating

''so the king asked you to stay with us until my mum gets discharged, so you can bring us to the palace''

'' yes'' Anna and I share a look

''okay but...why is it always you?''

''his highness can not trust you with anyone but myself, we believe someones looking for you, that may have caused the deliberate death of you and the previous queen''

''Wow, so am being haunted, just when I thought my life couldn't get any worse''

Anna taps me, I turn to her ''so youre going to leave me?''

''awww Anna don't be sad, I promise to text you every day''

''are you kidding, this is the best thing that has ever happened to me, this gives me a reason to come to the palace with daddy to see you and my chances with Mason is guaranteed, sad is one thing I am not, am best friend with the freaking lost princess'' I almost forgot, Anna ladies and gentlemen 

I see Alex passing the lobby, I immediately turn my face away

''well I was about going back to my grandma when I saw you just now''
