Shiela had been discharged from the hospital and returned home, but she remained unusually quiet. Ricky was deeply concerned about his daughter’s behavior but couldn’t do much for now. Despite his reluctance, he left the house to go to his office, trusting his wife to stay and look after her daughter.
Once Shiela was certain that her father had left, she quickly went to the kitchen where her mother was currently cooking.

“It’s not good, but don’t worry. I’m working on it. For now, just continue acting withdrawn and quiet whenever you’re around with your father. He needs to feel how much this is affecting you so he won’t approve of the wedding,” Minda explained at length.
