ALYSSA
I glared at Loise who stood like she was going to die anytime soon. She shook like a leaf, her palms coming together in a sign of plea before she suddenly dropped to her knees, "Please! I'm sorry but I had to go and tell him. I was ordered to inform him if I found you in any distress and that was what I did. I thought something bad had happened to you or someone... someone had come to attack you-"
I cut her off as I grabbed her arms and pushed her joined palms down. She rose her startled face up to look at me and was surprised to find me kneeling with her, "Please, don't-" She tried to speak again but I cut her off yet again.
"Enough already! Just shut up!" Her eyes widened in shock but she remained quiet at least so I continued, "Why are you begging me? I'm a captive of your leader. I'm lesser than you. Death is my fate at the end so why the hell are you begging me?! You owe me no gods' damned explanation. For the Moon goddess' sake, you're under his order and I can't do anything to you. Why... oh my days, why would you kneel and beg me?!" I shook her as I spoke, trying to wake the sensible part of her.
She stared at me for a moment before dropping her eyes, "Because you're a captive doesn't mean I should treat you like a slave. Your fate isn't death until your head is cut off your body. Anything could happen to change the course of destiny-"
"There is no change in the course of my destiny." I cut her off again, "I'm going to die any way the course changes to."
She stared at me with pity and worry. I dropped my hands from her arms and rise to my feet, avoiding eye contact with her. Those emotions swimming in her eyes were the last thing I needed. I needed to hate everyone so I wouldn't have second thoughts on whatever my future plans would be. I didn't need niceties and kindness. I need cruelty and malice.
She stood as well but I didn't look at her as I made my way over to the bathroom. I was exhausted. She spoke up before I reached the door, "Can I please wrap your wound?"
"No." I answered almost immediately.
"Pl-please! He'll kill me if I don't." She begged again, her voice dropping in desperation. Hr can't be that serious.
"Don't worry, he wouldn't know that. I'll wrap it myself and I won't tell. You shouldn't too."
Just when I held the doorknob, I heard her knees hit the floor with a loud thud and then her tear filled voice followed right after, "Please! Please! Please! I swear he's not bluffing! He'll find out somehow and he'll do just as he has said. Alpha Asher doesn't say things he wouldn't do. He is ruthless just as he is a great leader. Please, I have a family. I don't want to die..." Her sobs grew louder as she spoke. I was compelled to stay put as her words settled in my head. He was actually going to behead her if I didn't let her wrap my hand?
I could test her words. Wrap my own hand just to see if he would actually kill her and if he does, then it should be satisfying watching him kill one of his own, but sadly it wouldn't be. I didn't enjoy watching him kill Shane in the most brutal manner even after finding out that he had betrayed me.
I still doubted her words but I turned anyways. She was sobbing with her palms joined together again in a plea. I sighed as I watched her rub her palms together, my heart heavy in my chest.
I went back over to her and sat down in front of her, extending the injured hand to her, "Here. Wrap it up and stop crying for heaven's sake." I said quietly and watched her raise her head in surprise. Her eyes moved from my hand to my face and back, "Thank you! Thank you so much!" She held my hand in her palms and then rose to her feet, urging me to stand as well, "The bandages are in the bathroom."
I rose a brow, "I was heading there when you stopped me with your loud wailing." I said in a light tone hoping to lighten the mood.
Her face lit up, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so loud-"
"Ugh! Must you apologize every single time? You didn't even do s**t!" She ignored me but had a smile on as she gently pulled me along with her to the bathroom. When we entered, she pulled me over to the sink and put my hand under the tap. I wince at the cold feel of the water on my wounded knuckles. It stung as well but I just bit my lower lip and tried to make no sound. f**k, I thought I was numb. So I could still feel pain?
I let out a sigh as I turned to her, "What's your name?"
"My name? I'm Loise." She answered. Loise... That was one of the names that ruthless bastard mentioned earlier.
"Loise..." I tested the name on my tongue. She is pretty with a beautiful name. Why was she a servant? "How would your Alpha find out you didn't wrap my hand?" I asked her.
"Probably through Zach and Lucas or he'd read my expression and body language. He's very good at that. He has killed people in the past after just looking at them. Most people fear him so they tend to fumble whenever they stand infront of him." She answers. Well, f**k me because what type of being is he?
"Who's Zach and Lucas?" I start with those names. He'd mentioned them as well.
"They are your guards. The ones stationed outside your door. They report to him as well."
"My guards? What makes them my guards if they report to your Alpha?"
She pauses and turns to me, "I don't know but we were informed that they are your guards now."
"Now?" She turns back to my hand and I look as well. She was about wrapping the last bit.
"Yes, now. They were Alpha Asher's personal guards before you came. They are the best among all the warriors in the pack. They go on serious missions for the Alpha." She finally finishes up as she ends her sentence, "I'm done."
I nod at her, "He shouldn't have bothered using his best on me. I'm not such a big deal. Thank you by the way." I examine my newly wrapped palm with a tired gaze. My claws had disappeared. After a few seconds of silence, I turn to her only to find her a few steps away, "What now?"
She shook her head, "Nothing. I'm done wrapping your wound-"
"So now you stay away and avoid any form of conversation with me." I turn to face her, watching her honey coloured pupils dilate in shock, "Absolutely not! Well... I'm-"
"My name is Alyssa."
She paused, "What?"
"My name is Alyssa. Call me Alyssa." I said with a shrug.
She shook her head so hard I fear it might fall off, "Absolutely not. I can't."
"Why?"
"I'm... I'm not supposed to. I'm not allowed to." She dropped her eyes to the ground. Ofcourse, because I'm a captive. We're not even supposed to be having this conversation right now.
I nodded again, "It's fine. I understand. You can go."
She rose her eyes again, "Are you sure?"
I nodded, "Yes."
As soon as she left, I filled the sink with water and stuck my head in it.

The next day, I woke up in the new room I was taken to the night before. It was literally the same thing. This bastard of an Alpha wanted to show me he was fully in control of my life now. f**k him for having no fun while he grew up and turned out to be a ruthless maniac with only murder on his mind.
A knock came on the door and a second later, the door opened and Sera walked in. My mood went from bad to sour in the seconds she walked in.
"Hi." She smiled at me. I gave her a once-over as she stood by the door. Her brown hair was tied at the back of her neck in a ponytail and her body in a pale blue dress. She looked innocent, only to those who didn't know her true color and I wasn't part of those people. I knew her real well.
"Um," She continued as I said nothing, "I just came to check up on you after hearing what happened yesterday." She said. Why did she care? She brought the enemy into my home and brought me into the enemy's home. What am I saying? She is the enemy!
I said nothing still and just laid back on the bed and shut my eyes. When she's done, she'd leave. I have no business with her anymore.
I could hear her sigh, "Alyssa, I'm sorry. I really am. I forever will be. I only followed the orders of my leader. If you were in my position, she would have done same. If your father had asked you-"
"Don't you dare bring my father into this you betrayal!" I shot up and spat out, my cheeks fuming with anger. She opened her mouth to speak again but I beat her to it, "Get out!"
"Plea-"
"I said get the f**k out!" I was standing now with my claws out. I didn't want to kill her yet. Not when I'm still a captive.
She saw the look on my face and my obvious restraint on the edge of snapping and finally decided to leave. And hopefully never come back.
With a heaving chest, I sat back and tried to calm down. She's sorry, she says? Is that all I was going to get for ruining my life? Is that what they all say when they break someone's trust?
Loise. She had kept on apologizing for doing nothing but her job. Is she... is she just like Sera? Ofcourse, they are all the same. None is any different. Now I see why my father hated them so much.
Now it's left to me. It's either I let them win or destroy whatever their plan may be. And now the latter is my ultimate goal.
