Deans Pov:

The twins suddenly had a fight, randomly out of nowhere; the girl hit her brother in the face and all of us just stared at them in pure shock.

Although the girl's eyes show no anger we can still see her body shaking and we can see her biting her lower lip. most likely because she's trying to control herself from turning into a wolf.

"I found my mate." the brother tells the reporter and we all freeze.

Just a second ago he was looking at our way. I look at Scarlett and she looks at the boy with an expression of realization.

"so that's why..." she whispers to herself.

"what?" the reporter asks shocked "Buddy! that's great!" he smiles as he gets up to hug the boy but he gets pushed away.

"But she's about to get married." the boy says as he glances at Scarlett.

"oh my God!" Scarlett's aunt screams as she covers her mouth. she looks at Scarlett and then at the boy, and then she turns to smile at her sister. "your daughter is the mate of a werewolf!"

"What?" my father asks as he looks at my mother. "then that means that..." he turns to look at me but I just look down at my plate.

"they weren't going to be able to marry either way," says Alpha Stephen as he looks at my father. "I only agreed to that idea in order to calm down your father, but your son has a mate out there. with me knowing that there is no way I would agree to something that would hurt your son and his other half."

The sister of the boy suddenly pushes her brother towards our side of the table "what the hell are you waiting for? if you want to touch what's yours then just do it" she says as she crosses her arms and looks away from him.

the brother of the girl slowly walks towards Scarlett and begins to stutter "I- I".

"oh, brother..." the girl says as she looks at Alpha Stephen. "I'll pay you back for what I broke later." as she walks out of the room with a scowl on her face.

"Don't mind her." The reporter says as he walks towards Scarlett and shakes her hand. "she's just jealous that her precious brother is getting stolen."

"she's going to kill you for saying that," the brother says as he looks at the door where his sister disappeared into.

"I'm Henry," the reporter says ignoring the boy's comment. "and I'm the adoptive father of Ben, it's nice to meet you" he smiles brightly. "I'll have you know that you are getting the twin with the brains."

"umm... she can hear you," Ben says as he looks at Henry nervously.

"oh wow!" Scarlett's aunt says as she gets up from her seat and walks towards Ben. "you got yourself a looker." she grabs his face and then looks at Scarlett. "oh my! you are going to have such beautiful cubs." she says making Ben and Scarlett blush.

"Aunt Rosie, could you stop?" Scarlett says as she covers her face.

"but there's nothing wrong with me being happy for you!" Rosie says as she pulls Ben towards her to hug him. "I'm so glad she has a mate," she says in a quiet voice.

Skye's Pov

I continue to walk through the mansion in order to forget about the feeling of sadness that my heart is carrying right now.

I walk as I touch the wall with my fingertips and try to concentrate on the hot sensation that my fingers feel when I continue to rub them gently against the wall. I make a couple of turns until I see a window at the very edge of a hallway.

Slowly walking towards the window, I lean on it as I observe the trees outside move from side to side in a gentle motion.

'does this mean that he's going to have to stay here?'

I start to feel tears trying to come out but I try my hardest to hold them in.

I end up crying a couple of tears and suddenly my vision becomes cloudy.

"s**t," I say to myself as try to look around for anyone who I can ask for help.

I continue to walk on through the hallway and continue to look for anyone who could help me but my vision is too clouded for me to know what is going on or what I'm even looking at.

I finally give up as I sit against the wall and breathe out slowly as I release all of my stress.

I close my eyes as I try my hardest to ignore the uncomfortable feeling in my eyes.

"are you alright?" I hear a girl say as she kneels down to look at me.

I open my eyes slowly as I notice that she's wearing some sort of uniform. 'an omega'

"could you tell me where your restroom is at?" I ask gently. "I need to use it."

"yeah," she says as she helps me get up and leads me to a restroom. "If you need anything just call me. My name is Rima, if you call me I'll be where you are as soon as possible."

"Thanks," I say as I close the door to the restroom and lock it.

I slowly make my way to the sink as I lean on it and slowly pinch the center on my right eye. I do the same to my left eye and I close my eyes as I sigh. "that's better." I say to myself as I look at myself on the mirror.

I scowl at myself when I see those violet eyes on me through my reflection.

Those cursed eyes...

I reach my right hand up to the mirror and press on it without thought. when I hear a small cracking sound I stop.

'This isn't your mirror. control yourself, Skye.'

I take out some drops from my pocket and I put them into my eyes as I put back on the black contacts.

'this is much better.'

"Why did I come out as the weird one?" I say as I look at myself in the mirror. "Even my hair..."

'it's so unfair, isn't it Skye?' I hear my father's voice at the back of my head. 'out of the both of you, you were the one to get those special eyes.'

I laugh bitterly as I pass my fingers through my hair. "what's so special about them anyway?"

'soon you'll understand, soon I hear him say as I remember his dark expression looking down at me.

every time I asked about my eyes he would always answer the same thing. he would always have the same expression, a dark and evil expression.

I have always felt that the man was challenging me, but at what?

And Why?
