forty Barry, aka George Michael look-alike, proceeded to launch into the most ridiculous chat-up lines. Even inexperienced Elizabeth inwardly cringed at his cheesy one-liners. He told her he was an oil rig worker, back from the North Sea for Christmas. Elizabeth smiled politely as he hoisted himself onto Melody’s stool. ‘Do you do Insta?’ he asked, as he fiddled with his phone. Elizabeth’s blank look was evidence that she had no idea what he was on about. ‘i********:,’ he said patiently. ‘It’s a social media platform where people post selfies, motivational quotes, that kind of stuff.’ ‘I don’t use social media much,’ Elizabeth replied. ‘It took me ages to set up a f*******: account.
