Kane. Thanks to Elijah’s return, work flew by today, with the load feeling lighter than usual. I felt relieved, especially because I had left Ella in bed this morning. She was so exhausted that she couldn’t even pry open her eyelids when I tried to wake her up, an obvious result of last night. I could hear Jessica’s piercing screams from the room next door, and I gave her some space. However, I remained awake throughout it all, even when Ella returned to bed three hours later.
