Chapter 6

Alexander chuckled while he looked at his uncle, looking like he had just stopped a ghost. All the color had drained from his face as he was just told that his son was back.

They both knew his earlier excuses were lies and now it is more obvious.

"What a nonchalant attitude my cousin has. He went on a business trip. Is he not meant to report here first before going to his room?" Alexander said with a straight face.

"Of course he should, but I guess he must be really tired and feeling sweaty, so he wants to freshen up first before coming over to report to me? He is really trying as he is traveling around, you know!"

Alpha Dean also made a comeback against Alexander as he implied that his son is still capable of running away and sorting out things that are either business related or not, but Alexander could not since he was stuck to his wheelchair.

Alexander was already used to the words, so he was not affected by the words of his uncle at all. Rather, he looked up at his face and smiled.

"And sometimes, as humans, we don't appreciate opportunities, we do use and misuse the opportunities until we lose them totally, just like the advantages of running away without support.

Uncle, don't you think my cousin might need your help in his room right now, some files might have been mixed up by his clumsiness!" Alexander replied and alpha Dean was agitated.

"Alexander, don't push your luck, those with active limbs, fight to win and might still slip!" Alpha Dean said as a threat and walked out. Alexander, who had an initial calm face, changed his face back to a very ice-cold one.

"Why is uncle Sam still there, watching me?" Alexander asked as he wheeled himself out and uncle Sam smiled and followed him behind him toward his wing.

"Sir, it's about the new mistress!" Uncle Sam said and Alexander stopped suddenly as he slammed his hand on the stop button of his wheelchair. His face even got more tightened.

His aura was like a spitting fire and uncle Sam could feel his anger burning through the hallway. "She is not my mistress, she is just a lady whose family has decided to sell her out. I am sure that the gold digger thinks I must be a rich young prince and she came here only to be shocked that I have a handicap and she has the audacity to say she is not interested in someone like me.

Gold digger said she doesn't want me but she is still here, enjoying my money!" Alexander said and rolled off. Uncle Sam knew better than to follow him or try to discuss with him still.

Uncle Sam turned around and went straight to the kitchen.

"Catherine, what did you say about that side?" Alexis asked, and Catherine looked up and looked at Alexis, who was not pointing to anywhere in particular.

"Can't you see what I pointed at earlier?" Alexis said and Catherine looked around and replied to her afterwards.

"I didn't see anything, I was busy with the thing I was doing. Sorry, can you show me again? " Catherine begged and Alexis turned Catherine around dramatically and pointed at the small gate that seemed a little old.

Catherine immediately turned herself around and ignored what Alexis just said. "Catherine, I asked a question, what is over there?" Alexis asked again.

Catherine looked around and pulled her and led her to another side. "Have you seen your wolf?" Catherine asked and Alexis was wondering how their questions related!.

She just wanted to know what was behind those ancient narrow doors!

"No, why are you asking?" Alexis asked back and Catherine looked around again. "Do you want to see how beautiful your furs will be and how gorgeous your eyes will be when it's moonlight?" Catherine said and Alexis was more confused.

"Catherine, will you stop being so dramatic? I think it's something that you all do here! You love to cause tension everytime you speak. It's really not funny. Can you just say what this is all about?? Don't joke with me at all" Alexis said nonchalantly.

"Miss Alexis, I think it's time to return to the castle, the sun is getting ready to set and it will be inadvisable!" She said and bowed and Alexis was shocked at how fast she changed.

"Catherine, okay, fine, I won't ask about it again, don't call me miss, stop it!" Alexis said as she was scared to lose the first friend she made in the place.

"Okay, it means you don't get to ask about that issue again!" Catherine said and Alexis reluctantly agreed. " Well, we have to return back home now. It's getting dark, even within the walls of the castle it isn't safe anymore. Especially with a curious bird like you!" Catherine said and led the way back into the castle.

"You will be going to a war front tonight" Catherine said and Alexis was shocked as she stopped walking. "what! War front, why? I never saw a war in my life!" Alexis said nervously.

Catherine saw it as an opportunity to tease her. "You won't be seeing the war alone, you will be involved, if you are not careful, you will be the first victim to get murdered", Catherine said, and she became scared the more.

"Why me? I didn't sign up for any of this that is happening to me right now, first it was to be betrothed to a man, second the man is your first young mate or prince who rejected me.

Is that my fault? And now, I have to participate in a war. This is crazy", Alexis said with a sad expression and Catherine could not take it again.

"Okay, be calm, chill gurl. That is not what I mean. Don't be scared, I was only guessing that tonight might be a little different, since the second young master is home, the dining table will be full and that is what we call, the war front" Catherine explained.

" Oh jeez! You scared me!" Alexis yelled and chased her till they got back to the castle. They were still laughing when Catherine bumped into someone and she froze immediately.

Alexis looked up with fear until the person that had faced her was no one but the great alpha of the land.

What was more shocking was he was angry at Catherine, but when his eyes met with Alexis, he was with a more calm face and they kept looking at each other until Catherine turned and bowed on her fours and her head on the floor to apologize.

"I am really sorry, my lord, it was not my intention to bump into you." Catherine said and pulled Alexis a little and Alexis looked down and she did the same.

"It was not her intention at all, it was all my fault! I mistakenly pushed her hard and she bumped into you" Alexis said as well but the double-thinking alpha laughed and looked down on them.

"Why should I be mad? Aren't you Alexander guest and I am sure this lady is your personal maid!" Alpha dean said and Alexis nodded and responded without looking up.

"I am sir, my name is Alexis Liam and I am happy to appear before the alpha today!" Alexis said and the alpha smiled. "I can see, your father is the alpha of the storm park right?" He asked with the pleasure of watching Alexis on her fours and humble to the core like a maid

He slowly wondered how a princess could be so dumb!

"Alexis, get up!" Suddenly a resounding voice sounded in the hall and everyone looked toward the direction the voice was coming from. Alpha Dean became angry at the fact that Alexander was there at the moment.

Alexis and Catherine were more terrified to see the first young mater at the scene. They could tell that things are about to escalate!

"Alexis, I said, up on your feet!" He said as he was controlling his wheelchair slowly as it makes an impression of a magestic king giving out an order and, without waiting for another instruction, Alexis stood up and help Catherine up.

Alexander was closer to them and looked at the angry looking alpha Dean. "It is like the alpha has forgotten the time sof the royals, why will you take an apology from my guest and to crown it, to take a fourth apology.

I don't take disrespect and you know that!" Alexander said, and the alpha looked at Alexis and sneered.

"I didn't ask for it!" Alpha Dean said, and the ladies were shocked as they looked at Alexander helplessly. "and you didn't reject it, rather you made them stay there while you asked your arrant question. Alpha Dean, know your place with my people!"
