Blood Moon Luna

Sofias POV- As with every morning, my body woke me up at exactly 5: 30 and I slowly made my way to the bathroom to shower, brush my teeth and throw my hair up in a high ponytail. I felt exceedingly good this morning, so I skipped downstairs to make Hunter some banana pancakes. They were his favorite. Hunter was my 4-year-old little brother but I have raised him for the past two years since my parents' accident. They were out fighting the rogue attackers and lost their lives. Luna Adeline had clearly overlooked the fact that her two most elite warriors had two children at home, so she was left to raise him alone at the mere age of 15. Now, with only 3 months until she was 18, she could hardly wait to find her mate and finally bring him the family he deserves so badly. As if on queue, he came bustling into the kitchen holding his blanket comforter and smiling brightly. "Hi sissy, are you making pancakes?" She saw him grin as he smelt his favorite scent. "Yes, I am you cheeky minx. Now run upstairs, brush your teeth and get dressed into the clothes I laid out for you. Ok sweetie?" He ran upstairs with no hesitation, which made me smile even more. He was such a sweet boy. The sound of him running up the stairs stirred Nora in my head as she finally woke up. ' Hello sleepyhead' I murmured to her. My Wolfen counterpart, Nora, was a handful to say the least. I turned 16 merely a week after i lost my parents, which was when I gained Nora. She had been my rock and was fiercely protective of Hunter. She thought of him more as her pup than her brother, which was great because we could become his legal guardian once I turned 18 and not have to worry about him being placed with another and them being separated. He was all I had left, which is why I didn't alert the Luna to the fact we had no guardian. I could never bare to part with him. Ever. Although, taking on the responsibility of a young child at such a young age myself had not been easy. I left school and got a job as Alpha James' assistant. Alphas omega assistants definitely had a difficult job. Even harder when said alpha didn't have a mate to calm him. Alpha James was now 21 and still had not found his mate, so he was always whoring around to sate his needs with any willing she-wolf he met. Of course, as his assistant he had never tried it with Sofia and she was glad of that. He was awful, losing his temper over every minor inconvenience and forcing her to clean his s**t up, which was her job, but some things were just so unnecessary. For example, about a month ago, him and a shewolf had been going at it and once done he left the condom on his desk and simply told me to go clean his office. I was strictly horrified. Nora disliked him even more, even as her alpha she could barely respect him, he left most of his duties to Beta Robert, who was actually nice to her. ' Probably just pities us', Nora offered, snorting. Today was our first day back after our three-week leave, so after ensuring Hunter was ready, I left to drop him at Nadines' and stayed talking for longer then expected. I looked at the time and about near had a heart attack. It was ten to 7! I started in ten minutes and Alpha James would not take kindly to me being late. He always got to work five minutes early and if I was even a minute late he threw a fit and often made my whole day regrettably awful. So I ran at full speed to the pack house. Nora, lending me her speed, got me there in 7 minutes but I was red-faced and panting like a mad man. I never trained with the other wolves as I had no time, so I was extremely unfit in my human counterpart. I made a mental note to start training this weekend. That was how Alpha James found me. Looking disgusting, he roughly grabbed my arm and threw me in his office. I landed on my backside and I heard a snarl ripple from my chest. I scolded Nora, inwardly reminding her that he was in fact our alpha and could punish us, however he saw fit, but she stood her ground, not coming to the surface but her snarl was enough to have him fuming. Stalking towards her, he stopped a metre away, his eyes wide glaring at me as he stalked. My heart sank knowing that i could be fired for this. How would i taker care of little Hunter? He would suffer all because Nora couldn't control her anger. I was fuming at her right this second and she whined and went to the back recesses of my mind to sulk, I suppose. When I looked up at Alpha James, i was shocked to find bright red eyes glaring down at me. My heart skipped. This was the first time I had seen his wolf on the surface. Yes, James had scolded me and shouted, screamed, even threw stuff at me before in a fit of rage but never his wolf. Now i knew i was really in trouble. To my embarrassment, he took a step closer and sniffed me, a growl erupting from within him as he pulled backwards and was once again James. I smelt my hair subconsciously thinking I might smell sweat and being so embarrassed, I just stood up and muttered an apology before heading to my desk to bare the brunt of his anger once again. He never hit me but i had a feeling it was coming. However, five minutes later, he was still standing there glaring at me while the lump in my throat got bigger. Upon seeing me squirming, he dropped documents on my desk and stormed away. Just before leaving, he turned and said in the coldest tone I could imagine: "Next time, don't show up to work looking like you've been mated for hours. It makes you look like a whore." I silently cried at my desk, the whole pack house had obviously heard their keen hearing and the door was wide open. Some veen daring to peep their heads in to ogle her appearance. i had never been so humiliated in my life.
