Fear gripped Lilian as she walked down the hallway to meet Dennis.She has heard a lot of negative things about him. Though she has been friends with Dennis on social media for some months, she wasn't sure if she is to believe what people said about him or trust Dennis for who he claimed he was. Dennis claimed to be a reserved and simple guy in his late 20's trying to find his way out of the lions' den. Although Lilian didn't understand what he meant by 'the lion's den' , she knew he's a young businessman who devoted his time and energy to his business. He wasn't interested in women even though they kept flocking around him. He saw them as distractions and gold diggers who were after his wealth. He was also a workaholic as he rarely had time for fun. Dennis watched as Lilian approached him in the corridor. She looked so beautiful in her short blue dress with a pair of silver heels that matched her silver purse. And her diamond body accessories shine radiantly on her white skin. She looked petite and her hair was styled in a ponytail. Her eyeballs were big and captivating, same with her round lips that were painted in red lipstick. She looked exactly like her pictures, she's naturally beautiful. Unlike ladies in social media who keep deceiving men with filters and editing. "Lilian splane right?"Dennis asked, stretching out his hand for a handshake. "Yeah!. Dennis willamson?", Lilian asked, exchanging pleasantries with him. She had summoned the courage to face him without looking nervous or scared. The smell of Lilian's cologne filled the air. She knew what's best for her as her choice of dressing suits her well. She was a simple lady who found fun in showing her true self. She doesn't fancy expensive clothes, she makes simplicity her life goal. No doubt Dennis admired her appearance as he couldn't help but keep staring at her. With his hands dipped in his pockets, he later directed his gaze to the colorful city; they could see half of the city from the corridor. It was lit with different lights from vehicles and buildings. "It is so nice to finally meet you",Dennis said while giving her a short glance and smile. "It is a pleasure to see you too", Lilian said, giving him a quick smile too while holding onto her glass of champagne tightly with her two hands. She had heard a lot about Dennis and she had been wanting to meet him in person. Lilian loved proving with evidence;she doesn't believe what people say unless she sees proof or finds out herself. Dennis had invited Lilian to his uncle's book launch. Dennis is the youngest son of the Williamson' and he was known to be a reserved devil. His appearance speaks negatively about him too,he is 6ft tall,he has a huge upper part like that of a gymer, he has green eyes which look weird but one could tell they were natural. His brown curly hair bounces so well on his shoulders and his brown skin suits him so well. He looked simple in his black jeans and blue shirt which he didn't button up, revealing his broad and hairy chest. Everything about him looks special and wonderful. Truly,he is wonderfully made by God. Lilian could not help but gush over him as he stared at the sky with his hands dipped inside his pockets. Lilian didn't believe in love at first sight until she saw Dennis. She got carried away by his physique ignoring his cold look and what people said about him. She knew she had found someone her heart desired. What people say doesn't matter at the moment, what matters is how to satisfy her heart's desire. There was a complete silence between them that one could tell if a needle fell to the ground. Dennis was staring at the sky and Lilian was staring at Dennis but they were both lost in thoughts. Lilian loved daydreaming,she couldn't stop imagining her future with Dennis. And Dennis had a lot of troubles to deal with. He wasn't the free type or the type that cherishes women. He couldn't believe he gave Lilian an audience. He had been yearning to see Lilian too and when he had the chance,he didn't jeopardize it. Lilian isn't the outgoing type but she chose to attend the event just to see Dennis. 'But why is he so quiet?', Lilian thought. She expected their first meeting to be lively as there were lots of gist to give each other.' Maybe he is a shy type or is he always like this?'Lilian kept debating within herself. She noticed Dennis moving his gaze from beneath up to the sky and she saw him closing his eyes and moving his head gently like he's meditating. 'perhaps he doesn't know how to start a conversation' what if I start a conversation, will he reply?' while still contemplating on what to do, the sound of an alarm disrupted the silence. Dennis opened his eyes and looked through his watch like he was waiting for someone or had somewhere to go. "Let's leave here", Dennis said without looking up or facing Lilian. "Let's do what? Why?" Lilian could not understand what he meant at first before she could grasp the meaning of Dennis' words,she felt a hand dragging her away down the stairs. "What's going on?"Lilian asked, looking furious. "There's no time for questioning now",Dennis replied in a calm manner. "Are we in trouble?"Lilian asked again. Grabbing her hand from Dennis. She needed to know what's going on before following him to God knows where. "Just follow me", Dennis replied with a command tone this time. His eyes looked more serious than ever. He's talking as if he has just limited time, like he knew something was going to happen and it couldn't be something good. 'What exactly is happening? Can I really trust this guy?'
