Chapter 18 Rye

941 Words
The unwanted guest. Sol had an outing with father this morning and then she promised to come see me and bring me lunch. Father has become particularly picky these days and would take hours just to choose a color. So he’s taking Sol with him to the fabric store in high hopes that she’d be able to help him pick something because time is running out. I’m in the office today with Kye. My father insisted that he start handling some responsibilities other than sitting around at home and causing trouble. Kye is so pissed it’s funny. He locked his office door so I wouldn’t get in but I’m pretty sure he isn’t in there. Taking my time and going over contracts and applications for approval and submission my mind drifted to how Sol looked last night when she saw Orisha leaving the room. She didn’t say anything or act weird, she just said what she said and curled up in my arms falling asleep. Orisha is a tricky book to read, one minute she’s happy we break up and the next she’s trying to ruin what I have going on. I may be over thinking but I’ve known her long enough to know when she’s up to no good. Once o was finished with these papers I started going over Sol’s papers for her naming ceremony. I want this to be one of the biggest ceremonies we’ve ever held. It should be over the top, elegant and classy but most of all drama free. A knock on the door gets my attention, I look at my wrist watch and notice it is 12:00pm, lunch time. That means it’s Sol and dad. Putting my head back to the paper I pay no attention to her moving around the room. Today she smells different she smells like.. “I’ve brought you lunch, say Ahh…” Orisha is standing in front of me in a tight skirt and fitted shirt. It’s so tight it looks like her breast wants to burst out. “Sop is bringing me lunch, it’s ok.” I say turning my attention back to my paperwork. “Your really going to deny me Rye, I know we needed things so you could marry your fathers little project but come in I could definitely give you what she can’t.” She leans over and places her head dangerously close to mine. “Just say the word and you could have me, all of me. You know you want it.” Sometimes me clears their throat drawing our eyes from one another, standing in the doorway is father and Sol. They are both looking at me. Sol has no expression at all and father looks like he could pumble me. Orisha stands and bows before father while Sol comes over, pushes Orisha’s lunch container to the side and places some bowls of hot and ready dishes in front of me. “Enjoy your lunch.” She plants a kiss on my cheek and walks for the door. “Are you heading home?” I ask. No father is taking me to see lady Rose, she going to be making my dress.” She perked up. “Lady Rose, she’s always booked how did you get an appointment?” Orisha asked. “You should have just waited for like I said but you had to run out the door.” Father replied. “Sit and have lunch, I'll see you at home.” Father eyed us both suspiciously before leaving with Sol. She didn’t call or text me, instead I called and texted starting the conversation. “Your still here, I say to Orisha.”’ “Of course besides I have the evening free, would you like for us to go somewhere?” She asked. “Orisha, what we had is no more. You're a beautiful woman who can get any man she wants but me. I love my wife and intend on doing nothing to hurt her. Just as she was about to speak a message from Sol came in saying her mother wants to see her urgently. My mind went from wanting Orisha out of my office to what could Louis possibly be playing. And I highly doubt Kyro told his parents it was because of Sol he was whipped and thrown into the dungeon. I settle myself and ate my lunch.Sol made fish, vegetables and rice. I smiled and chewed as every spoon makes my taste buds explode “Your really denying me” “Your still here, yes I’m denying you.” “For a child. I’m better than her, she’s so young, her body hasn’t grown in properly.” “‘I’m ok with that and didn’t we just have this conversation.” “Fine I’m leaving anyway, I have to head over to lady Roses-any way.” She grabs her handbag and leaves fuming. Just as she walked through the door Kye came in looking at her as If she’s out of place. “I see she’s still up to her old tricks.” Kye says . “Yeah she is and it’s annoying, last night she was moving about the room and called me into bed. Sol saw and said nothing.” “She said nothing.” She must be pissed Rye.” Kye says “She doesn’t look like it, she even brought me lunch.” “Lucky you, you have two women fighting over you while I’m stuck sneaking out of windows and going clubbing. I keep thinking I could meet the one for me in those bars but I’m wrong.”
