CHAPTER 4.

ADEN'S POV. "What?!" She exclaimed in fear and terror. Our pack has never been attacked before. This is the first time in years. "We have to stay here Isa," I told her as I began to close up all the windows and lock the doors. "B- but what about our parents?" Isa asked in panic. She doesn't seem to like the idea of us staying here. "Isa, we are just kids. We don't have our wolves yet, and we can't do anything to help. Let us leave it to the adults, I'm sure they can handle it. If we go out there, we'll only be a distraction to them." She thought about it for a second, then she agreed. We both sat on the bed close to each other, shaking in fear. We could hear screams of pain, growls, thundering of paws against the ground. Isabel was sniffing and trying to hide her tears, but I moved closer to her and wrapped my arms around her to remind her that she wasn't alone. Although we had no idea who was attacking our pack, we know for sure that they are powerful. The screams and growls says it all. A loud banging on the door had us jumping in fear. I quickly searched for something to protect myself and Isabel, but there was no weapon here. To our relief, we heard Isabel's father call out, "honey, are you in there?!" "Dad!" Isabel exclaimed and hastily got down from the bed to go open the door. The minute the door was opened, she flew into her father's arms sobbing. "Dad I'm so scared." He patted her head gently. "It's okay honey. You're safe now." I was quick to notice the cut on his forehead and the terror in his eyes. It was enough to know that the pack is in serious danger. "Gabriel, what about my parent?" I asked in fear and worry. He stared down at me with weak eyes. "They are out there trying to make things better. They asked me to take you two to a safe place. They will join us soon." "And mom?" Isa asked. He smiled sadly, "she's fine." He answered in a tone that doesn't sound so convincing. I knew something has happened to Isa's mom, but Isa didn't seem to notice. "She will join us too right?" She asked hopefully. He didn't meet her eyes as he replied painfully, "yes." He changed the topic quickly, "for now we have to go." He lead us out and we followed behind him hand in hand. He was in front so he could protect us from any danger ahead, and he was also very alert. As we neared the back door, a man appeared out of thin air and blocked the door. He was in a black hooded cloak, and his head was lowered, making it so that his hood hid his face from view. Isabel's father stood still and made us step back. He stood in a fighting stance and growled at the man in black. "Step away, you vile creature!" The man lifted his head a little, and a flash of bright red eyes blinked at us. A feeling of terror seized me when I saw his sharp, dark and long nails. No werewolf had red eyes, and none possessed the ability to appear out of thin air. Just who, and what is he? He stretched his hand out to us. "Give me the girl and I will spare your life." His voice was deep and dark. It caused a cold shiver to run down my spine. I was shaking just by the dark and powerful aura surrounding him. "You can only take her over my dead body," Gabriel growled. The dark figure slowly dropped his hand, and as calm as ever, he said, "so be it." The Beta pushed us aside. "Don't worry children, I'll take care of him." His eyes changed to a bright yellow, and his canine extended to reveal that his wolf was slowly taking over. "Be careful Dad," Isa said and he smiled at her. He smiled at her, "I will." The smile left his face, and he faced the man with hardened eyes. I had faith in Gabriel. He is the pack's Beta and one of the strongest werewolf in the Firehall pack, second only to my father the Alpha. I have faith in him that he will be able to defeat this strange man. The beta raced forward in inhuman speed to attack the man, but one lazy swipe of the strange man's palm had him flying to the side and hitting his body against the wall. He fell to the ground with a groan, and I saw the visible c***k on the wall at the impact. He didn't waste time, he got up again and attacked the man. He was flunged away without much effort. "Dad!" Isabel cried out. Tears were running down her eyes. She wanted to go to him, but I held her back. I was crying too. This is strange to me. Gabriel, the beta of the Firehall pack, one of the strongest wolves I've ever seen, and yet this man is beating him up without much effort. Just who is he? Isabel's father stood up again and wiped blood off his lips. "You bastard!!" He cried in a thunderous growl and attacked again with so much vengeance. This time, the man caught him by the neck and effortlessly lifted him off the ground. The Beta struggled against his hold, and Isa was sobbing heavily. "Weakling!" Was all the dark man said before snapping his neck. My blood ran cold as he flunged the body to the ground and stepped over it. He was coming towards us. "I-Isa, we have to go!" I exclaimed in a hurry. We can't handle this man. I know she's definitely sad about her father's death, but he died protecting us, and we need to save ourselves so his efforts would not go in vain. When I looked at Isa again, she was no longer crying. She was just staring at her Dad's body with wide eyes. She doesn't even seem to notice the man who was still taking slow confident steps towards us. Before I could plead with Isabel to snap out of it, I noticed some kind of dark energy starts to surround Isa. It swirled around her in dark waves. I stepped away from her out of fear and shock. What is this? What the hell is happening to Isabel? Even the man had stopped walking and was watching her. Isa was surrounded by dark smoke of horrifying dark energy. She suddenly chocked on nothing and flunged her head back like something had stabbed her through the chest. She looks like she was in a lot of pain. I grew concerned for her. That strange man is definitely responsible for this. "Isa!" I made to go to her, but I was flunged aside by a powerful force when I got too close to her. I had no idea where it had come from. My back hit a wall and I coughed in pain. I was on the floor a few feet away from her, watching in horror as my best friend changed to a whole different person. Her blond hair suddenly changed into a mid night black and it grew longer and went past her waist. The blouse and shorts she was wearing was suddenly replaced with a long black gown, and when she opened her eyes again, I was terrified to see that they had become blood red just like the man's. The dark energy was still swirling around her. This time it was starting to occupy the big living room. She stared lazily at the man, her red eyes glowing. "You're not the real one," she spoke in a voice that doesn't sound like hers at all. She stretched out her hand to the side as if calling for something, and suddenly, a man broke through the wall. He was floating in the air and floated straight towards Isabel. She then grabbed his neck, the same way the other man grabbed her father's neck. The two dark claded men were wearing identical cloaks. As the other man struggles against Isabel's hold on his neck, the other was also struggling and holding unto his neck like he was being chocked too. "Mercy my Lady. I was ordered to retrive you." The men pleaded in identical chorus. "You should have done so in a way that wouldn't make me upset!" She answered in a dead calm and frightening tone. "Mercy my lady. Mercy..." She snapped his neck effortlessly without blinking an eye. I was trembling in fear and confusion. That isn't Isa. That can't be Isa! Isa isn't a monster. The man in her hand turned into flakes of ashes and faded away, while the other disappeared. Isa's red eyes stared in my direction, and a cold shiver ran up my spine. All I saw was a monster. There was no trace of my friend there. I crawled on my butt away from her as she approached me. "Don't come any closer!" I cried, "stay away from me!" She smirked, her red eyes glittering with amusement. Her lips didn't move, but I heard her voice say in my head. 'Do you still want me Aden? Can I still be your friend?' The fear was so overwhelming. How is she talking in my head? The shock had me losing conciousness, still I coukd hear her voice echoing in my head. 'Don't ask me to stay away Aden." She laughed, 'you're stuck with me forever, because it turns out, that I am your little demon mate.'
