Trouble Makers

Being the fourth out of the seven children of her parents. Ebube was not among the bossy older ones and neither was she among the pampered last borns. Two older brothers, one older sister and three younger sisters Ebube was caught in the middle. In the middle of being controlled and bossed around by her older ones while equally lacking the attentions the younger ones get. She was quite left alone. Or not. Auntie Nenye as everybody called her was a lady who used to work at a filling station opposite her mother's store. Auntie Nenye had taken a liking to her and has always treated her nicely. Ebube doesn't understand why though. she wasn't that pretty. Not as pretty as her immediate younger sister who was the prettiest among them all nor was she as smart as her older sister who also get special attentions for being the first daughter. Oge who was the prettiest and the most liked had a fair skin and a slim figure. Though Ebube thought the slim figure must have something to do with her always being sick. Ebube had never seen anyone who is always as sick as Oge but that didn't stop her from wishing she could get sick herself sometimes to enjoy even a bit of the love and affection Oge had . Ebube accepted the fact that she couldn't fight for attention with her pretty sisters and neither could she fight for power with her brothers. she had to accept her fate. Except she didn't.
