"You cannot earn a Heart Stone but perhaps you can prove to God that you are worthy of one," Owailion had said on the first day he began training Dayvian. “You can only earn one by witnessing to God that you are doing all you can.”
That had been Dayvian's only hope. He clung to that idea throughout the grueling lessons the Wise One set for him. Hoping was the only way to prove that he was worthy of a Heart Stone. It was his magical key that would open the door back to Tanzaa.
"You said I can't create a Heart Stone," Dayvian had pointed out logically on the first day Owailion began working with him. "I'm not magical."
