The Blue Moon Pack.
Louise stood at the door of her home, with her hands on the suitcase. She looked at the two people she cared for the most. Today she was leaving to go work for the Blue Moon Pack. A werewolf pack that most humans didn’t know about, but she had. Her parents were witches, no longer practicing but witches all the same. Although she had never taken as a witch and was indeed human, she had understood that there were other creatures out in the world.
She had decided to help her mother Mandy and her father Roger in financial circumstances and go work for the most powerful pack in the west. They had been looking for someone to help with the duties of cleaning. How would anyone find a job like this, especially if the secrets of the werewolves and the witches were to be hidden from most humans? Wouldn’t posting an ad seemed like a rather dangerous thing to do? Her mother had found other witches in the area talking about the job. Apparently to find help outside of the pack was to spread it between other packs and witches, as one would never out one another in fear that the humans would start wars.
Her mother Mandy had decided she would, in turn, take the job, so that Louise and her father would be able to continue living in their home. That however had been far too much for Louise to allow. She had insisted on taking the job and with a lot of reluctance and “absolutely not” she had convinced them that this made the most sense. Knowing the apprehensiveness from her parents she hugged them tightly.“I promise I’ll call once I arrive, and every day as well.” She embraced both her mother and father. She smiled at them once more as they held her hands. Turning she got into the cab waiting for her and closed the door. Waving at them as the cab took off towards her new destination.
Mandy turned towards her husband with worry on her face. “What if she finds him, what if she finds him and the spell breaks?” She cried. Roger turned towards her pulled her into a loving embrace and softly stroked her hair. “We need to have faith, my love. We need to have faith.”
The journey to the Blue Moon Pack estates wasn’t far, they resigned over the other side of the plains, kept in the valley away from prying eyes. The pack estate had vast land space, that ranged from the base of a mountain and towards the forest that separated them and the next village. One which Louise had resigned in. Louise had always wanted to find out what and where exactly these estates were, knowing something incredible had to lie beyond the forest.
The cab pulled into a gated community, that had many standing buildings. Many of the pack were doing the daily duties, from working on fences to pulling vegetables, to milking goats and cows. It was like they didn’t live in the real world. She stared at them in fascination at how much they worked as a team to complete the chores and daily needs for one another. It was like looking into a whole different world than she had been used to.
As the cab stopped, she paid the driver and thanked him, getting out of the cab she pulled her suitcase and watched as many of the pack looked at her. She smiled at them and walked to the main house. The main estate building was large in stature and held many grand carvings on the frames of the doors and the windows and even the staircase. White walls that seemed elegant and royal. The floor made out of marble, and chrome accents to tie in the splendor. Waiting in the foyer she waited for the Alphas mother to find her as requested. She couldn’t take her eyes off the beautiful furniture and decor.
Following the instruction given, she didn’t have to wait long as a beautiful lady in her mid 50’s came walking into the foyer.
“ Hello, Louise isn’t it?” She’s smiled and grabbed Louise's hand. “It’s very nice to meet you finally.” Louise smiled back sweetly and shook Leila’s hand. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, thank you for this opportunity, Ma’am.” Leila shook her head and smiled again. “Please call me Leila my dear.” She placed her hand on Louise's arm and directed her towards the left.
“I understand you’re human Louise, and your parents are witches?” She asked softly never removing her hand from Louise's arm. Louise nodded and looked at the land guiding to what she could only assume would be her room. “Yes ma’am, iii... mean lady Leila.” Leila laughed and motioned for Louise to enter a room. “Well we welcome you here, it’s nice to meet new people and bring them into the pack, regardless of them being a werewolf, witch, or human. This shall be your room. It’s not much, but it will be yours while you work here. I’ll make sure to let you get settled in and send Clara to you so that she can guide you on what your job will be.” She moved towards the door to exit the room. “Thank you so much,” Louise said smiling at the woman before her. Leila nodded and took her leave. Leaving Louise to settle into her new dwelling.
Jarret had been training with his beta and best friend Josh, who had been his friend since childhood. They had spent all morning training in martial arts, jabbing at one another. Jarret had been always good at being the best when it came to hand-to-hand combat. He had chores like the rest of his pack; however, he couldn’t help himself but to train. Jarret had what he ever needed, friends family, and a soon-to-be wife. He knew she wasn’t his mate, but he figured that he would never find her. No one in his pack the Blue Moon or the pack of his girl the Sunlight, had he ever found her. After talking to his parents they had agreed at the end of his 29th year before his 30th birthday, he would be allowed to pick his choice of wife and if he so desired he could mate her. Sunlight pack and Blue Moon pack had been allies for a while now. That’s where he had met Juliet his feisty she-wolf, that had no problems with telling it how she saw it. She had intrigued him from the start and with a little flirting, they had been quick to become an item. She spent most of her life here, just so she could be close to Jarret. Her family had been itching to marry her to Jarret, but Jarret’s parents wanted him to have a chance to find his mate
Just as Jarret had made another pass at Josh’s legs he instantly stopped and felt Josh’s hand smack him in the face. Jarret let out a snarl towards his friend and both stopped immediately looking at one another. “Woah I haven’t been able to do that all day, what’s going on, did you smell Juliet again or something?” He joked, laughing as the stunned look on his face was present. Jarret shook his head. Something intense had just gone through him, he felt his whole body stiffen at the intoxicating smell that had just wafted by, “ No, just something took me off my guard.” That was all he said. The smell had not disappeared but defiantly fainted from his senses. His body went stiff and he couldn’t think. Whoever he just smelt was enough to make his senses lose it. His body and his wolf were on high alert and for the first time in his life, he couldn’t control his thoughts. What was that smell, why was it drawing him to it? He snapped out of his trance when Josh clapped his hands to grab his attention. Jarret grabbed his composure quickly trying to play it off. “I think that’s all for today Josh, Mother and father wanted me around today as it is. We’ll pick this up another time.” He let out a wolfish smile and picked up his jacket and headed towards the main house through the back. Josh just stared after his friend. Something had just happened to him that he knew it might very well be the changing he thought Jarret just might need.
Louise had gotten herself unpacked when a knock at the door caught her attention, she walked over and opened the door to find another small framed girl with items held in her hand and a cheesy grin on her face.
“You must be Louise?” Clara said as her smile still radiantly on her face. She put her hand out toward Louise.”Mines Clara, I’ll be your buddy from here on.” Louise grabbed her hand and they shook it. Louise nodded. “Nice to meet you, Clara, I heard you were to show me my duties?” Clara nodded and walked in and closed the door behind her. Clara gave her an ID badge, and a debit card. Louise took them hesitantly and looked at Clara. “That’s your ID badge and that’s your new debit card. Lady Leila and Lord Carlisle are good Pack leaders, they like their people to have money straight away, so you’ll find that you have some money on the card, for you to buy whatever you need.” Louise looked at the card and nodded shocked. “Wow, they’re so generous.” Clara smiled and plopped herself on Louise's bed. “My room is just beside yours. I was a rogue wolf, didn’t have a home, and they took me in and made me family. Gave me a pack. I am completely grateful for them.” Louise nodded again and sat beside Clara. “Tell me a bit about yourself Louise, I will show you what to do tomorrow, tonight’s about getting you settled in.” Louise looked at her new friend and studied her features. She had brown short hair, green eyes, and slightly tanned skin. She had a small figure and petite features on her face, this showed how tiny she really was. Her stature was very similar in her, herself.
“Not much to tell to be honest. From as early as I can remember, my mother and father have live secluded, in a small town just in the next village. They’re both witches, they don’t practice witchcraft anymore though.” Clara nodded. “So you must be a witch as well then?” Louise shook her head. “I’m completely human, never got the gene I guess.” She laughed. Clara nodded again and took Louise's hands in her own. “That’s fine, I can’t wait to be friends. We have so much to learn from one another, I hope you'll be happy here without your parents.” Louise giggled at how friendly Clara had already seemed. “Let’s go to the main hall supper should be ready shortly and I’ll introduce you to people. Everyone is very friendly and on familiar terms as one another.” She bolted from the bed and moved to the door. Waiting for Louise to follow. Louise put her ID and debit card in the drawer beside her bed and grabbed her jacket, she proceeded to follow Clara out the door and down the hall.
They stopped as Clara introduced her to wolf and she-wolf alike as they passed them. The place was huge it took them five minutes before they came close to the main hall where tables and tables were set out for people to sit and eat. The was a huge main table that housed six chairs. Leila and Carlisle were already sat talking to two younger people.
Clara walked up to them and the younger male jumped around the table crashing toward her and Clara. Clara stopped in her tracks, she pushed the young man in the arm. He was handsome dark brown hair chocolate-covered eyes, a toned body with a firm stance, and gently tanned skin. He had the greatest smile she had ever seen from a guy. “Brett, how's it been today?” Clara asked and Brett let out a smug smile. Good been busy helping dad with the new recruits, Jarret was busy with his stupid training like always.” He looked at Louise, she was a beauty to behold. Fair skin, blue sparkling eyes, blonde golden hair, and a fine figure. She wasn’t too chesty and had a rather plump ass from what he could see. She had hips and a tiny waist, which was still clear with the baggy jeans and shirt she wore. He was taken in at how outrageously gorgeous she was.
Clara moved towards Louise and pushed her closer to him. Getting a surprised look from Louise, Clara winked at her. “Brett this is Louise she is our new pack member and part of the cleaning staff. Louise is human and her mother and father were witches.” She motioned for Louise to introduce herself more.
Brett stretched his hand out to shake her. Louise took his hand gently. “Hi, Louise it’s nice to meet you. I’m Brett. And you are beautiful, wherein seven hell’s did you come from?” He let out a wolfish grin. Louise smiled and lightly blushed at the comment. She moved a step closer, getting even closer to him than before. “ Nice to meet you, thank you for calling me beautiful. I’m from the village past the forest.” She was nervous he was handsome and she felt like she was embarrassing herself and how awkward she must look as he had paid her the compliment. Just then the girl that had been sat beside him came rushing over as well. She had the same brown eyes, brown hair, tanned skin, and again a figure that was like she was a Greek goddess.
Stretching her hand out to shake Louise she giggled.” Hi, I’m Amelia, please to meet you, I’m Brett’s little sister.” Louise nodded and shook her hand. “I’m Louise.” She retracted her hand and stepped back from Brett. Clara could see Brett had an instant liking to her and moved to step away from Louise and Brett.
“Where is Jarret?” Asked Clara. Brett shrugs his shoulders as did Amelia. Louise looked at Clara confused. Brett noticing this come to stand beside her.
“Jarret’s our oldest brother, he and his girlfriend are usually here, I’ve been with my dad all day and he has been off training. You know the Alpha and all.” Louise nodded in understanding. Which she truly didn’t. She knew of werewolves, but never more than that. She looked down at her feet, waiting for someone to talk again. Feeling the silence she intervened with the first thing to pop in her head. “Well if he is a nice as you all have been I am sure I’ll be glad to meet him.” Brett let out a laugh and turned Louise close towards him. “He can be a bit of an asshole. Juliet his girl as well.” Louise nodded and looked to Clara and Amelia.
Brett looked at them and then at Louise and moved her away from prying ears. “Dinners going to be in about fifteen minutes, would you care to go for a walk in the gardens with me?” Louise looked at his handsome face, she was taken back, he was so lovely. She linked her arm in his and he strolled her away from the hall and into the gardens.
Clara and Amelia snickered as they watched Brett take her towards the door leading to the gardens both knew that Brett was smitten and if Louise played it right, they may have just found the next hit couple of the pack.
Brett and Louise walked together around the garden's arms linked. Louise smiled at his jokes, and laughed at his impressions, and felt so very smitten already. Brett wasn’t just handsome he was charming. They had walked around the gardens for fifteen minutes when he finally walked her back in and sat her beside Clara. Beaming Clara nudged Louise and teased her as Brett took his seat.
Jarret had found his father after his training and had gone on a search of the forest for any stray rogues as per his request. Jarret knew that his father had faith that he alone could carry out the mission, without any assistance from his beta. He had been patrolling his lands for years. After he had searched for rogues and noted that Blue Moon Pack was safe again, he headed back, catching Juliet walking in that very moment.
“I was looking for you.” She mused over him, he nodded and walked up to her planting a kiss on the lips. “Yeah, you were?” He mused. “Guessed you found me.” He bumped into her playfully. They walked into the main entrance. “Your mother was telling me that she had hired a new recruit, she apparently isn’t even one of us.” She motioned with disdain in her voice.” Don’t you think she is playing with fire?” He looked at her annoyed, he knew his mother wouldn’t have recruited her unless she was a decent person. “Not really, mother handles it well, she knows what she is doing.” He moved to kiss her cheek and walked off. “Gotta shower I stink.”
Jarret walked into the hall with Juliet and instantly could smell the scent he had earlier. He stiffened and noticed Juliet looking at him curiously. The scent was something he had never smelled before. It called to him and his wolf, in ways he hadn’t known before. Looking around frantically it wouldn’t do, there were too many people in the hall. It has been said that once you find your mate, the scent would call you. If that was what was happening to him, that would mean his mate was here. He sat down beside his father and his brother. Juliet on his mother's side.
He knew his mother didn’t like Juliet, but she had accepted her. After all, Jarret had made it clear she would be the next Luna. Juliet had always made snide comments about his mother, and it did annoy him, but he wasn’t getting involved. Looking around he couldn’t find who’s scent he was smelling. Juliet pulled his attention back to the table conversation. “Did I see you with someone new today Brett?” Juliet said slyly. “Was she your new fling?” She said with venom in her voice. Brett shook his 8head and pretended to not hear her last comment. “Yeah you did, that was the new hire mom hired her. She is the cleaner.” He looked at the confused face of Jarret. “She is human isn’t she?" Brett nodded and turned to look at Juliet. "Yeah what of it?" Juliet’s snickered. And looked over the Jarret who was now looking annoyed. "Nothing I guess I would have never thought you’d go for a human." Brett didn’t answer it. Jarret looked at his younger brother. “Who is this girl?" He asked. Brett pointed a finger over towards Louise. Jarret followed the line of sight and his stomach dropped. That was the smell, that was the person who he could smell. It was her that made his wolf roar, she was his mate.
