Theo’s POV
I can smell her somewhere close, she has to be near downtown and going into heat soon. I can’t believe I’m finally going to have her by my side after all these years. Finally my father can lay off of my back about Vivian. Ever since the Crescent pack came up here looking to make ammends because of what they did to us he hasn’t shut up about me taking her as my Luna. She’s the furthest thing from a Luna.
I will finally have my fated Luna.
“Have you seen any possible sign of her Rick?”
“I’m sorry sir, I haven’t seen anything suspicious or out of the ordinary on the radar or scanners. We haven’t had any communication from other packs in the area either.” Rick replied over the cell phone.
I grasped my cell phone in one hand and adjusted my tie with the other while glancing in the mirror.
What if I’m not what she’s expecting? I wonder if she will find me first.
The time seemed to slow down and it was getting unbearable. I NEEDED her. I needed to get to her before any other males tracked her down and tried to mark her as their own. For as long as I remember growing up I was told stories of the fated ones finding one another in their lifetime. The scent, the bond. Then they would mark one another for eternity and become as one. Even their wolves would be united. An unbreakable bond. As son of the Alpha of the Sumeria pack I was expected to meet and exceed all expectations that came my way and I am to find a Luna that represents all that my pack stands for.
My father never found his fated Luna. He settled for my mother, Lindsey of the Whistling Wind Pack. It was a cold and loveless agreement that only brought about 6 healthy wolf pup heirs to the Sumeria Pack. Me being the eldest son set to be the Alpha in a matter of days, I needed to find my Luna.
It was starting to get late and I hadn’t even had a bite to eat all day, my mind was racing with the thoughts of finding her and tracking her down. I walked down the staircase of my penthouse and into the kitchen. Addison glanced over from her post in the kitchen.
“Sir, is there anything I can get for you? I now right now is a tad difficult for you. I can cook you up a steak and green beans. Your favorite sir!” Addison gleamed.
“Thanks Addison, I would appreciate that very much. If you could just bring it to me in my study when it’s done that would be great. Thanks.”
How can I eat when all I can think about is her. All I can smell is her. I wonder what she tastes like..
I need to pull myself together!
A sharp jolt shot through my head, piercing my eyes and showing me a club downtown in Seattle. One that I recall investing in not long ago. A girl with her back turned and long beautiful black hair flowing down her back and blood dripping..
“I have to go” I stated as I ripped out my cell from my pocket and texted Rick the details of the weird vision I just witnessed.
“Oh, okay sir!” Addison yelled toward the elevator doors as they closed in front of me leaving the penthouse.
Waiting for the valet my phone vibrated in my hand.
‘ Rick: Sir, it is to my best knowledge that fated mates when in close proximity can sense or see when the other is in danger. Best to be safe and track her down. Please let me know if you need my assistance.’
It was 12:45 am when I arrived at the club. The band was already gone and most of the place had already cleared out. I caught a glimpse of a bartender cleaning up a mess at the counter. It looked to be exactly what I had seen in my vision.
“Excuse me sir, was there a girl here in this seat with black hair?” I asked hopefully.
He looked at me very confused and almost like he didn’t want to answer me. Must be the way that I look that has him concerned. I handed him a couple bills out of my wallet.
“Please, I’m worried about her safety” I reiterated.
“She left just a little bit ago. She had cut her hand really bad on one of our glasses here at the counter and hurried out of here before I could give her a bandage.” He paused.
“I also saw some guys, maybe some of your friends, following her out the door too.” He added.
I felt my chest tighten and my hands clenched so hard it felt almost impossible to keep my wolf inside at the sound of those words. She was being followed.
I got into my car and immediately followed my nose, she was close. But so were they. Rogues… They seemed to think downtown was their territory and they could take what they pleased. Well I’ll be damned if they think they are going to get their hands on my Luna.
The scent of cherries, warm vanilla and honey filled my nose. Overpowered it. It felt exhilerating. The stench of cigerettes, burbon and whiskey were there too. I turned onto 15th ave and that’s when I heard her yell. I sped up and stopped into an alley my wolf form taking over as I rushed out of my car. I could feel the rogue’s arm ripping from his body as I ran through him. His yelling silenced by the shock he went into. Seconds later Rick and Drake appeared and apprehended the second rogue. They usually clean up wolf matters and make things like this disappear. They’re really, really good at it too.
I had one glimpse at her in my wolf form and she had me whimpering like a pup. I wanted her so badly, but all I could smell right now was blood and I needed to make sure she was alright. I got myself together as quick as I could and scooped her up before anyone could see us. She seemed so tiny compared to me. I took her to my car and laid her down in the back seat, placing my jacket over her. As I brushed her hair out of her face her eyes flickered up at mine, Brown.
I found my Luna, my fated one.
