“You disobeyed my orders. Again,” Jaden sighed. She watched him patiently, her bright blue eyes tempting him to do something he should not. With every passing day, he was getting more and more lost in that blue flame that was destroying every resistance in his mind.
“In my defense, I am terrible at following orders,” Isabelle replied calmly. “My father can testify to that. Don’t take it personally.”
“You don’t get it, do you?” He threw his hands in the air. “You’re not in Anamir anymore! You can’t just leave the castle and do whatever you want! It’s not safe here! I’m not giving those orders to peeve you, I’m doing it to protect you!”
“Oh, because staying in the castle worked so well for me?” She scoffed and Jaden gritted his teeth. He could not refute that she had been attacked already
