A DISCOVERY
The newsroom was nearly empty, with several journalists chasing leads on a huge crime story. Emilio was busily talking on the phone, and the few others left were in the conference room. It was a perfect time for Rafael to research deeper into Abel Lopez. He didn’t want his colleagues asking uncomfortable questions.
Rafael had searched for information when writing Abel’s previous profile, but he might have missed something. Fernando, aware of the stalking situation, had approved his research on Abel. “So long as it doesn’t interfere with your day-to-day duties,” he had said.
