10. Revelations

Lillian's POV

As soon as we step into the dinning room the conversation stops and everyone looks at us, I notice that the room is empty for the most part and only the ranked members and my Luna guard are here. I feel myself being tugged to a chair at the head of the table where there are three seats set up for us, my Alphas put me in the middle. I'm so uncomfortable being the center of attention like this, I do what I always do and bow my head and look at my hands. After a moment I feel Enders hand touch my arm to get my attention, I look over to him under my lashes and see him  give me a small smile before pointing to the food that is laid out on the table. I look over the dishes that are placed in front of us and again I can't help but think that they have no idea how lucky they are to be able to eat like this. I had always made breakfast for the pack but I was never allowed to eat any of it, many of these foods I have never tried and I was a bit weary of picking something. Ender tilled his head as he looked at me before saying,

"Aren't you going to eat anything my Luna, I know you must be hungry you haven't eaten anything since yesterday morning?" 

I wanted to tell him I didn't know what to pick but last night when I made a comment about the food Fiona thought it was a joke and I didn't want to embarrass myself again. I nodded my head and looked at the food again, there was eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, scones with cream, pancakes and a few other things  I  wasn't sure what they were. Emmett seemed to understand my issue with all the food in front of us and he squeezed my hand before saying, 

"Why don't you start with some eggs, bacon and pancakes with fruit on them. That is what I normally eat and I think you will like the pancakes, its like eating cake for breakfast."

I was so thankful that he came to my rescue and I smiled at him and took a small spoon full of eggs, a piece of bacon and one pancake with a spoon full of berries on top. I ate slow since I really hadn't had much food in the last few days so I didn't want to make myself sick. I finished my eggs and bacon but could only eat a small amount of the pancake, which was sweet and light and I could learn to love them. I put my fork down and looked over at Ender who had filled his plate with so much food I wasnt sure how he could finish it. He looked over at me then down at my plate before his brows creased, 

"Is that all your going to eat my Luna, aren't you hungry? You should eat more since you missed dinner last night.'

Before I could think the words slipped out of my mouth, " I have gone many days without eating or only eating a bit of bread here and there. I can't eat to much for it will make me sick and plus I can't fit much food in my stomach now anyway."

Ender dropped his fork and looked at me with anger in his eyes and when I looked around the room everyone was looking at me with pity. At this moment I realized that I said something that I shouldn't have and I wasn't sure what it was. " I'm sorry, did I say something wrong?"

It was Kane who spoke up because my Alphas were sitting there with jaw clenched and breathing hard. "Luna you didn't say anything wrong, its just..just that it shocks us to hear that you were not able to eat properly before you arrived here. Should we ask the cooks to make somethings for you to ease your stomach into eating more? I understand that rich foods and high in fat could hurt your stomach if your not used to it."

I couldn't believe what Kane was saying, again it makes me feel like I shouldn't be around these people. I didn't have much knowledge about a lot of things and statements like that make me feel like I am beneath them. " Thank you Kane I'm not sure I will have to ask the doctor today at the hospital and let you know. Thank you for you concern." He nods his head and continues to eat his breakfast, Alpha Evander cleared his throat breaking the spell that my words cast over them. 

"Sons, Lillian, Alpha Paul will be here in 30 minutes we should talk about how the conversation should go before he arrives. We all know what needs to be said but I think we should go over how your going to say it, Alpha Paul is a difficult and powerful wolf and this matter needs to be handles with care. He cares deeply for his daughter and there is the matter of what your mother may have already told him. I tried talking with her about it but she wouldn't tell me and left early this morning, I'm not sure when she will be back."

I felt bad for Alpha Evander and my Mates if it wasn't for me they would all still be fine and wouldn't need to meet with Alpha Paul. I let my mind wonder while my Mates talked with their father, I looked around the room and everyone was still there no longer eating but listening to what was being said around them. Then I realized where was my Alphas sister Annabel,  I hadn't seen her since yesterday when we arrived and I wondered if she did that a lot or if no one noticed she was gone. I was pulled from my thoughts as a warrior walked into the dinning room to tell us that Alpha Paul and his Luna were crossing pack boarders, my Alphas asked them to be shown into the office when they arrived. We made our way to my Mates office where they took a seat on either side of me behind the desk with Jamie, Mathew and the twins father all sitting on the sofa off to the side leaving two chairs in front of us. I held my breath as the door opened and in walked Alpha Paul and his Luna, Alpha Paul has short blonde hair and a strong jaw and his Luna was wearing a very beautiful gown that looked like they were going to a party. Both were very attractive and wearing expensive close, and it made me think no wonder Emmett and Enders mother had a problem with me, I did not have anything and I was seen as beneath them. Alpha Paul made eye contact with me before looking back at the twins and saying, "What the hell is going on here, how dare you ask me to come here without an explanation." 

Ender's POV

I couldn't hide my anger about Lillian not being able to eat regularly I was thankful for Kane stepping up and talking with Lillian for us. We shifted our focus to the meeting with Alpha Paul and I could see that Lillian was lost in thought about something else. When we left the dinning room and went to the office I was worried that the meeting would be to much for her, but there wasn't anything we could do about it the meeting needed to happen. We took our seats behind the desk with Lillian between the two of us, my father, Jamie and Mathew took a seat on the sofa on the side of the room. I had mind-linked Kane and had him stay outside the office in case Lillian needed to leave the office or if Alpha Paul begins to get angry and we needed her to be safe. A few minutes after sitting down Alpha Paul and his Luna walked into the office and he seemed to be angry but trying to hide it the best he can. 

"What the hell is going on here, how dare you ask me to come here without an explanation."

I could see the anger in his eyes when he looked at Lillian, " Alpha Paul thank you for making the trip and coming to talk with us. I know this is not how we normally meet but we wanted to have this conversation as soon as possible. My brother and I have found out Mate and Luna yesterday and will be holding her Luna ceremony in the upcoming weeks. We have not had time to talk about the date yet since we only found her yesterday but let me introduce our Mate and Luna, Lillian."

"So you called this meeting and for us to drive all the ay down here to meet your Mate? Why could this have not happened over the phone or better yet when we receive and innovation to her ceremony?" Alpha Paul said with a snarl 

"We understand that this is out of the way for you but we felt you might have been close by since Sophie was here last night. We wanted to make sure that we were all on the same page and that we could continue to be on good terms. I know that my brother and I haven't agreed to Sophie being our Luna but it was brought to our attention that our mother may had made promises on our behalf without our knowledge. We do hope that we can move forward from this and that Sophie finds her fated Mate as we have." I could see the anger grow in his eyes and his Lunas.

"Listen here Ender we were led to believe our daughter was going to be your Luna and to be honest I'm not sure why that still can't be the case. Looking at your Mate I can see she's weak and not fit to be a Luna and your pack will not stand for it when they could have Sophie. Why not still make Sophie your Luna and keep this thing as a side toy, I'm sure my Sophie would be fine with that its not like she would feel threatened by her." Alpha Paul said with a smirk and a nod toward Lillian. 

My anger spiked with the comments that he was making about our Mate and I wanted to rip his throat out and wipe that smirk off his face. I clench my jaw and said, "First do not speak about our Mate and Luna in that way, second we will not and will never have anyone other than our fated Mate as our Luna. We have also never told you or Sophie that we agreed to this deal that our mother set up with you, she will never be our Luna. I apologies if my mother led you to believe differently but Lillian is our Mate and Luna. I understand if you have other matters to attend to today I'll have a warrior escort you both to the boarder."  

As I dismissed them the anger and hatred flashed on his face and I couldn't wait for him to leave the room and our pack lands. I hated that Lillian had to see and hear the hate he had for her just from knowing that she was our Mate. As he was being lead from the room he turned to me and with a evil smile said, "She's not your Luna yet." A chill ran up my spine and I couldn't stop this feeling that this would not be the last time we would speak with Alpha Paul. After they left the room my father was the first to speak as Kane walked in the office. 

"I'm not sure this matter is settled with him, but you kept your calm bette than I thought you would even after his comments about Lillian. We should keep and eye out for what he might do, with his last comment I feel it will be something aimed at Lillian." He looks over at her with a sad smile, she has been quite this whole time. 

"I agree father that this will not be the end of this, Emmett and I have talked with Lillian and want her to be with one of us at all times either myself or Emmett, you or Kane and her guards. She is not to be left alone with anyone else for any reason. Jamie and Mathew we felt that since you do so much to help the pack we did not want this to be added to you, so please don't think this mean we don't trust you."

I know that we will need to have Lillian's Luna ceremony soon but I didn't want to talk about that in front of everyone and I think they all saw that since no one brought it up. I look over to Emmett to see if he wanted to add anything, "We will need to discuss this later father we have an appointment with Dr. Lowe to look over Lillian, Kane would you join us please well head over and after we have some work we need to do so you will need to look over Lillian."

We head outside and walk to the pack hospital that was only a short walk from the pack house. It was late morning and the sun was out so there were pack members out playing with there pups. Looking around I couldn't help but think what it would be like to have pups of our own, running around and seeing how beautiful Lillian would look. As some pack members see us walking they nod to show there respect and glance over at Lillian who has been walking next to us with her head up looking around at everything. She had a look of awe on her face and it just reminded me that she hadn't experienced many of the things we have and how overwhelming this probably is for her. We make it to the hospital doors and walked inside Lillian reached out to hold our hands and I could tell she was nervous again. We walked up to the front desk when Dr. Lowe turned around to greet us, " Good afternoon Alphas, Luna, I have set up a room right over here. Why don't we get started."
