8. Explanations

Ender's POV 

As we walk toward the table where Jamie, Fiona and Mathew are already waiting for us, Kane sits next to Mathew and we put my Luna in between the both of us. I'm excited for this first meal we will share with our Mate, I want to start to get to know her and I think this is a great way for her to get to know everyone. After our dinner is brought over we all start to eat, I didn't notice that my Luna wasn't eating until Fiona said something. When my Luna gave her reason for not eating right away and that she hasn't ever had steak I'm so surprised because being wolves we eat a lot of meat to make sure our body's are staying strong. No wonder it is taking her a long time to heal. It makes me sad that Fiona thinks Lillian is just joking because we know she's not and I can see how hurt she is that Fiona is making a joke of her pain. Emmett starts to talk to her and comfort her when he is cut off mid sentence by our mother, and my blood runs cold when I see who is with her. We were going to tell Lillian tonight about what our situation is but we haven't had time yet and now we are face to face with this problem and I know this isn't going to go well. I knew my mother wouldn't like Lillian but I didn't think that she would act this way, my blood ran cold with rage. Before I had a chance to say anything my Luna in a soft apologized to Sophie and bowed her head and ran toward the house. I was filled with anger that my Luna felt she needed to bow to my mother and Sophie and they were about to feel my rage. I glanced at Emmett and could see that he was feeling the same thing but before could react I spoke first, 

" What the f**k do you think your doing! How dare you bring her here and tell our Luna that she is our fiancée! We never agreed to this plan you set up and we never would even if we hadn't found Lillian!"

Everyone at the table fell silent after I finished yelling at my mother, and she had a look of pain that disappeared quickly and turned to anger. I had never shown disrespect towards my mother like that before but I couldn't let her disrespect our Luna. My mother was fast to reply, 

"How dare you speak to me that way! I'm your mother and have every right to look out for you and make sure you are making the right decisions! No child of mine is going to pick some no name, weak and disgusting wolf as a Mate! I have spent to much time building this life for you to just let you throw it all away! I will not let this happen, you will Mate with Sophie and you will reject that weak excuse of a wolf and lead this pack to the greatness it deserves."

I could not believe what I was hearing from my mother, all the hate and anger towards our Luna for no reason. How could she think we would be ok with her talking about our Luna that way and trying to make decisions about our life or the future of our pack. I was filled with anger toward my mother for keeping me here while my Mate is some where in the pack house upset and in need of comfort. Before I can say anything my brother starts to say with a clenched jaw, 

" Let us make this very clear for you mother, we have no arrangement with Sophie or her father the Alpha that was all orchestrated by you without our consent. Sophie is not our Mate, fiancée or future Luna, we have a fated Mate that will be our Luna. Understand when we say there is nothing you can do to change this and Lillian will be our Mate and Luna. Now take Sophie and leave the pack house and we don't want to see her here again. Now we are leaving to check on our Mate."

We turn to head toward the pack house and as we walk through the doors our father is there waiting for us. He looks us both in the eyes and nods toward our floor and we no he wants us to go into our office on the Alpha floor of the pack house. As we make it to our floor I see Emmett walk over to Lillian's room and put his ear to the door and I see a frown form on his face and I know he is hearing her crying. He walks back to us while shaking his head confirming what I thought and my hear feels tight in my chest. Walking into our office my father closes the door before taking a seat in front of our desk. Emmett and I take our seats behind the desk and wait for our father to start talking,

"My sons I'm sorry for what your mother said this morning and for her bring Sophie her as well. I wish we could move past if but we need to discuss the issue of the deals your mother made with Alpha Paul. I'm not sure how much your mother has told you about the alliance she has been planning between our packs. What I can tell you is that he will not take it kindly that you will not be holding your end of the plan, he will also not take it well that you are blowing off his only daughter. I know the plans for the alliance but I don't know what your mother did behind my back, but believe me she did something to make this happen. Alpha Paul and the Diamond Moon pack are the second strongest and we have never had an alliance with them, this merger between our two packs would have make us the strongest pack not just in our territory but in the country. I understand why you cannot move forward with it because you have found your fated and I know that you both didn't want this to happen from the start. I'm so happy that you both have found your Mate and I would never ask you to set her aside, but we do need to find out what your mother promised them and we need to set a meeting with Alpha Paul. Was he at the Alpha Meeting today?"

"No father he was not there today which I thought was odd, but I guess after what you have been saying about mother talking with him or his Luna its probably a good thing. It gave us some time but now that mother has brought Sophie here our time is up for she will tell her father the first chance she gets, which we have now given her by asking mother to take her off of pack lands." I say with a sigh, why does our mother have to make so many problems. 

We spend about another hour going over the alliance and what our first move should be, we also talked about the meeting and what we agreed to do moving forward. Our father was impressed, 

"I'm truly impressed that Lillian spoke up in a Alpha meeting, it can be difficult for a Luna who has been in role for a long time let alone someone who hasn't even taken the role yet. I must say I also agree with her thoughts about why the rogues are doing this and who or what they are looking for. You both have found a worthy Mate. What rank is she? I don't think I have heard she was a Beta or Gamma daughter."

Emmett and I look at each other and I let our a deep breath, we need to tell him and I hope he is still fine with us moving forward with Lillian being our Mate,  

"She isn't a ranked member father, she's an omega and she lived in the pack house that's how we saw her. She was setting up the lunch for the meeting." I wanted to keep the other information to us for now, I didn't think my Luna would want others to know about what happened to her yet. I was hoping that would be enough information for my father but then he said the one thing I was hoping he wouldn't .

"Are you telling me that your Mate is the wolf-less omega that Alpha Malcolm keeps in the pack house to cook and clean! "

I couldn't believe he had heard of her, "How do you know about her?"

"Son I have been Alpha for a long time there isn't much I don't hear about other packs. I must say I'm worried for you both." 

With a sad face looking at me, " Father we don't care that she's an omega and you shouldn't either."

"Son you misunderstand me I'm not against her being an omega, I have just heard some things about her and what's been happening in that pack house."

Emmett asks before I can, "What have you heard father?"

I saw anger flash in his eyes before he covered it, " I have heard that he keeps a wolf-less omega in his pack house and has her cook and clean, but that is not all I have heard. There have been rumors of abuse from him and other members of his pack, physical and s****l. From the rumors Alpha Malcolm has been the only one who has s****l abused her but I can't be sure and I don't know all that has happened. All I know is that she has been treated as no one ever should and I'm so sorry that she had to go through that and that your mother added to it. Has she said anything about what has happened?"

 I give Emmett a nod to go ahead and tell him, 

"She hasn't told us much just that the first time she broke a bone she was young, when we first saw her in the conference room we could tell she had been hit earlier in the day. We took her to the pack hospital and she had said she had never been there before even with the broken bones. She had to take her shirt off to show the doctor the bruises on her torso and she was covered in black and blue, she said she had others but that she didn't want to take her pants off. We couldn't tell if she had scares because of the color of her skin, we also saw her room which was nothing but a dirty stained mattress on the floor and cleaning supplies. What made us ready to rip Alpha Malcolm's throat out was that his smell was all over her, that is all we know she hasn't really opened up to us about much. We were hoping tonight we could learn a bit more after dinner but that isn't going to happen now."

My father has an angry expression on his face before standing and walking to the door before saying, " I'll help you in any way I can and I care for Lillian as a daughter already. I'll work on how we can have a conversation with Alpha Paul but it will need to happen tomorrow because like you said he already knows. I'll contact him tomorrow for you, you should go see your Mate I'll talk to you both in the morning."

Emmett looks at me, " We need to fix this with Lillian, she thinks we don't want her, that we lied to her and I can't have her thinking we hurt her brother." 

I nod and we walk out of the office and down the hall, when we reach her door we both wait and try to hear her inside. There wasn't any sound coming from the room so we opened the door slowly to make as little noise as possible. When we step inside what I see breaks my heart, my Luna curled up into a ball on the floor in front of her bed. She has taken off the beautiful dress and put back on a pair of close she brought with her. Emmett walks over to her and slowly picks her up and holds her so gently and walks over to the bed. He places her in the middle of the bed and puts a blanket on her before taking off his shoes and laying next to her button touching her. I do the same and lay on the other side of her and just look at her while she sleeps. About a hour later we start to hear Lillian making small noises till it becomes cries and pleas to stop. She then cries out loud and sits up quickly in the bed breathing heavy before she realizes that she is on the bed and we are next to her and she lets out another loud cry.
