Chapter Three

The two friends decide to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. The cafeteria has different kinds of food menu. There are two different menu cards. The black card is for free while the white is vip(students pay with their own money). "What do you want to have?", Lena asks. "Let's enjoy free food today okay", Mimi suggests and they make their order. "You seem to know a lot about the school", Lena says as they sit down to eat. "Well all thanks to my lovely brother", Mimi answers. "Wait, you have a sibling here?". "Yes my elder brother is here". The atmosphere in the room suddenly changed when the prefects barged in. "Talk of the devil", Mimi whispers under her breathe.

The hall is suddenly quiet. Ethan and Xavier walk straight to Lena and Mimi's table making themselves comfortable. "Senior Ethan and senior Xavier I don't think it's nice to sit here uninvited", Mimi says lightly. The two boys grin. "Mimi don't you think you should introduce is to your friend?", Xavier says. "Oh that's right. Guys meet Lena my Friend and Lena meet Ethan, my brother and Xavier my cousin", Mimi introduce. Lena gives a fake smile. All the students are staring at them. Being the center attention is one of the things she hates the most. "Erm please excuse me", she says and leaves the table before Mimi can stop her. By the end of the day, everyone knows Mimi is the sister of the school prefect and cousin of the assistant prefect. Mimi now has most of the female students, both seniors and her mates as her friend all because of her brother. The students are made to join at least two clubs. Being someone who loves to study, Lena joins the writers and debators club and not to make her school life boring, decides to join the drama club. Mimi is also part of the drama club and dance club. Ethan happens to be the president of the writers and debators club. It looked like the to two will be interacting more much to the dislike of Lena.

Today is going to be her first meeting for writers and debators club. She gets there right on time to get a copy of the membership forms that are being shared. "So now that you have been given the forms, we would want you to take them with you to fill them. We will take them in our next meeting. And also as part of the process, each one of you is required to write a short something about yourselves so that we as your leaders will know you better. We also encourage you people to do your best because we the prefects will soon be stepping down from our position for you to take on. I think that will be all for today. Thank you and don't hesitate to ask any questions", Ethan said and walks out but not before he cast a quick glance at Lena. Lena has a very bad headache and wants nothing but to go and lie down to rest. Things are going too fast for her and it is soon time for freshers night. Lena wish she can exempt herself but the prefects made it compulsory.
