The Untold Adventure

"P.O.S, P.O.S, Come and do your p.o.s here" Shouted a boy sitting on an armless plastic chair, Though he looked really tall, his facial features spelt a really young and handsome guy who just seemed to have an overgrowth in height. His skin was tanned but then it wasn't all that visible except one were to look extra carefully. Samuel was currently in a city called ejibo located at Lagos stage the formal capital state of Nigeria, The giants of Africa. Nigeria is a country located at the West part of Africa, They are usually referred to as many names, some refer to them as the giant of Africa as they are one of the countries with the greatest economy, military and so many other things and the Undeniable fact that they have been able to produce so many genius who have stormed the world and are still producing more that are shaking the world even now. Some called them the arm of Africa and when they refer to arm, they do not mean your hand but ammunition instead, Nigerians are often referred to as this because of the similarity of the shape of their country in the map of Africa to that of a g*n. They also exist some pretty bad names they are called like one of the most corrupt country in Africa and one on a high rank in the list of the most corrupt country in the world. There were also many other bad names they were given but this particular one was the one that struck them painfully the mostyou could comment on Nigeria as a country. This is so because of the the effect this bad feature of the country has imposed on it citizens, This effect is mostly suffered by the poor ones as if you are from a rich home you could directly wave some of this negative effect or if you are at least able to break that barrier dividing the poor from the wealthy and pass through, You would definitely be considered a world level genius. Being at the middle isn't also a good position because one way or the other the corruption and bad governance of the country always seem to find it way to affect every poor or financially struggling home. One of a good example of this effect being talked about is the boy doing POS, POS was more like a mini bank agent but then don't mistake the sweetness of the explanation for easiness as it was any thing but easy , Though all you had to do was provide raw cash to those in need of it while you will get your money back through either a transfer from the said customer account or inserting the customers ATM card into a little machine called a POS machine. This machine works like a bank of it own were it will automatically withdraw the desired cash out of the customers bank account through the help of the customer's bank. This was the business the boy was into but what made the business not an easy one was the hassle for customers as there was hardly a situation where customers will just work up to you to do POS except the ones who had already gained a significant percentage of trust in you and so would trust only you with their ATM card. Samuel was a boy with so many problems, and he had been mocked, bullied and disdained a lot since child hood for this faults of his. One of this things being talked about was Congenital disorders and also strange occurrences like the power being taken away from the hospital during a critical moment of his birth, and even though he was still successfully birthed, he was born with a huge bump on his chick and ear side, it was a kind of cyst. It was as he grew up and aged to 5 years old that the cyst finally burst open on it own and then it started shrinking back. Another circumstance was his inability to talk well even as he grew up, he was mocked numerous times for it by so many. He was soon given a nickname that was derived from a moment when he went to buy himself a sought of sealed sausage roll in Nigeria called gala, but he couldn't pronounce it well and so ended up saying "gailar" instead of gala, A Street boy picked his words up and spread it to his friends who then did the same to their friends and so that was how his first ever nickname was birthed "gailar" a nickname representing his defection and soon that became his name to every almost Street boys in his Street and other Street around the vicinity that somehow got to know him. It wasn't that he didn't want to fight back but that he just couldn't fight back as he was afraid, Street boys were k own for their ruthlessness and unity , once you picked a fight withe one, you had successfully picked a fight with all, even some adult knew to stay of their part in other to avoid being given a tattoo on your body with broken bottles or other types of glass and ceramics. And so he had to stay clear and just ignore them, acting as if it wasn't affecting him at all, and even smile back and exchange pleasantries with them sometimes. This went unnoticed by his parent but not everyone else close to him, as his siblings seemed to have noticed something was wrong, but they still seemed to be harbouring quite the dislike towards him, and so they choose not to act at first and only started interfering when it was already late, their interference at that point was completely useless as the stain had already been imprinted on him. This just made him start viewing them in a different light and pushed them further away as he wasn't happy about them ignoring his situation until it's later stage. This caused him to rebuked them when they tried to start interfering as it already seemed to late, Their actions were more like putting paper into a significant broken part of a bucket so that it could regain it ability to store water, but then ain't that a worthless move, do they really expect paper to block water for long, of course it can't. Such was Samuel's life, But his action of rebuking and reacting negatively to his siblings late interference only served to further increase their dislike towards him or so he thought, At the end they where all just children, passing through to their teenage age, this drama went on with them to their teenage age, Unknown to his family who all seem to have their whole problem to deal with, the drama left quite the stain in Samuels life, and at some point when he and his brother ended up attending the same secondary school, which then caused things to become even more bad for Samuel as he finally started reacting to all the drama happening since the day of his birth, A trauma had kicked in. But Samuel in his determination fought back the trauma silently as his life progressed, and slowly he used his experiences to forge a peculiar character made up of unquenchable will and a really strong determination, he was able to move ahead in life without much stress. POS is known to have broken down a lot of people, but Samuel still stood really firm.
