Chapter 9 YESENIA ESCOBAR  I DON’T KNOW how long I’ve been sitting here inside the cafe. There was coffee and a piece of cake in front of me, but I felt like that wasn’t what I needed. I pinched myself a few times, but I'm not just dreaming, so everything that happened a while ago is true. I think I need alcohol to wake me up from this daydream.  I watched the man outside the cafe who was busy talking on the phone and turned to me from time to time. I still can’t believe I was able to let him kiss me. And what's worse, I was able to respond to every movement of his lips in mine as if there was some energy pulling me.   I don’t know what went through my mind to let him kiss me. I don’t know why I responded to a kiss that I had never experienced once apart from him. I feel like what happ
