CHAPTER FIVE
Luna’s POV:
"Your heart is still weak... come on, I'll take you to the infirmary." Lucifer's voice came after a while we were sitting on the stairs.
For a few seconds I thought about talking back. I didn't want him to take me because I knew she would tell him about the injuries. But I didn't have much of a choice.
Lucifer stood up and held out his hand for me to take. My eyes met his as I hesitantly brought my hand up to his. As soon as I got up I quickly let go of his hands, but he didn't seem to care.
He went down the other steps and I followed him. I noticed that there was no pack members in the house besides the men who were protecting the entrances when Hayle entered. The red-haired girl had said that most of them already had their families formed and lived around the main house, but still, it seemed that more people lived there.
He walked down a long corridor and, even though I had my eyes focused on his back, my attention roamed the walls we passed.Lucifer stopped in front of a simple door and opened it slowly. He looked at me and took two steps back, giving me room to enter. I passed him hesitantly, as if only by being close to him, his aura already reached me.
There was an older woman, with gray hair and bright eyes, wearing a white coat standing in the middle of the room.
"Luna, this is Marie, she will examine you." Lucifer spoke and I saw the confusion on the woman's face, but she quickly pushed back and memorized a smile.
While she was doing all the necessary tests, which were actually simple, I could only feel anxiety rising. I feared when she would look at my body, and I prayed in silence that she would not do such an act. I just didn't want to explain everything to them. I still didn't fully trust them.
“Your senses are fine, they look better than ever. But your heart is still stuffy and very weak. I believe that you are also very fatigued." Marie spoke in a friendly tone and I nodded slowly. “Well, there will probably be some discomfort in your body because you slept so much and stayed in the forest for so many days. Have you eaten today? ”
I had no reaction to her question. I knew I should have eaten, but I didn't eat out of fear. And I was not in the mood to get scolded by the doctor, much less Lucifer.
"Yes, right Luna?" Lucifer asked taking a step forward.
I didn't even know why he had stayed there during Marie's check up on me. Probably to keep me from trying to escape or something. But either way, I was feeling a little intimidated by his presence.
"You ate the sandwiches, didn't you, Luna?" I'll go up that he was a little irritated, but I didn't have the courage to meet his eyes. "Why the hell didn't you eat?"
"Why would I eat food from strangers?" I mumbled, knowing he would hear it anyway. I knew he was ready to speak but Marie decided to interrupt him.
“Alpha. Why don't you get her a ham sandwich, and this time, she will eat it?" Marie's sweet voice sounded and soon I heard the door to the room slam.
"He's mad." I commented without even realizing it. The nurse's eyes met mine and a simple, friendly smile appeared on her aged face.
"I would say that he seemed more concerned than angry." She said and I automatically frowned. "Turn your back on me."
"Why would he be worried?" I asked quietly as I turned around so that my back was facing her.
"It isn't every day that the Alpha accepts any Omega." She said as she lifted the shirt I was wearing.
"He wants something in return, that's why I'm here." I mumbled, but she obviously heard it.
"If he didn't care, he wouldn't have brought you here." Her slow words entered my mind.
There was no reason why he would care about me. Why would he be worried? Maybe I was here just to piss Hayle off, since they clearly hated each other. But he wanted to take me to the Oracle... so maybe he was looking for something about me. The same thing Hayle had been looking for all this time.
I lost myself in my thoughts and didn't notice when Marie started examining my back. She had clearly seen the injuries, there was no way she couldn't have seen them. They had not cured themselves quickly, even with a werewolf's accelerated system.
Her silence made me shiver, but before I defended myself unnecessarily, she lowered my shirt.
"You can turn around again." Those were her only words, and my body automatically started to act hesitant. “Your lungs are fine, because you're still young. I advise you to drink plenty of water to hydrate yourself and get an exact 8 hours of sleep for your body to start adapting with the fact that you no longer need to stay awake. ”
As soon as her words stopped, the ward door opened again and Lucifer appeared with a plate of a sandwich that smelled delicious.
“You can eat in your room. I still have to solve some things, but as soon as I can, I'll call you." He said handing me the plate of food, which I took with a grateful smile.
Lucifer’s POV:
"Is there something wrong with her?" I asked Marie shortly after Luna left the infirmary. I knew she wasn't listening because I heard her footsteps going towards her room.
“The heart is going to get stronger soon, and her lungs are perfect. She should get 8 hours of sleep a day and drink lots of water. I also suggest that meals start in small doses and increase to a normal amount. She is very thin and, honestly, she seems to have been without food for many more days than she has been running away in the forest." Marie replied by dropping her stethoscope on the stretcher that Luna was sitting on.
"Didn't she eat with Hayle?" I said even though it sounded like a thought out loud.
“Alpha... I don't think her experience with Alpha Hayle was good. The girl has several bruises that have been probed on the back, and three small cuts in the hip area. They looked like cuts made by werewolf nails, probably engraved on her skin. ”
When Marie told me that, I didn't know how to react. I felt something inside me. It seemed like anger, but there was no reason why I was angry. Obviously, what Hayle had probably done to her infuriated me, but what I felt was different.
I wanted to go to him and break that bastard's face for even touching her.
I didn't know exactly what was going on with me, or why I felt awkward since she arrived.
For a few seconds I was annoyed that Luna hadn't told me. But I believe it was not an easy thing to say.
The scene of Hayle hitting Luna quickly came to mind but I pushed it out, after all I wasn't even sure if that was it. Maybe she just got hurt in the woods. Certainly, if I knew why she was running away from him, it would be easier. Anyway, we would visit the oracle and he would give me the answers.
"Thank you Marie."
I knocked my knuckles on the girl's door. There was a quick silence until her sweet voice cut it off.
"Come in." I opened the door slowly and saw her. She was sitting in the middle of the bed, eating the sandwich, her eyes focused on the view outside the window.
"What are you looking at?" I asked and her eyes went to me.
"Just thinking how cold it must be outside." She really was lucky to have ended up here. The snow wasn't playing that winter, and she would have died of hypothermia if I hadn't brought her into the pack's house.
“We will wait until the snow stops to go to the Oracle. It's not cool to take a trip with snow falling on your head." I said as I sat on the small sofa next to her bed. “Tomorrow, Sheila will take you to the city for shopping, because we will have the annual pack ball and you need a dress. Flynn will go with you to protect you." I commented, looking at my hands, despite feeling her eyes on me.
"Am I going to the ball?" There was a strange tone in her voice and my eyes met hers.
"Hayle also did balls, didn't he?" I raised an eyebrow and Luna looked a little hesitant. I wanted to try to get her to speak without realizing that she was speaking. I wanted to find out what was going on.
"Yes but... I normaly didn't go." She replied sheepishly, almost in a whisper.
“Well, you're in my pack for now. And you're going to attend events like anyone else." I noticed something in her eyes that I couldn't explain, but there was definitely something.
I got up and went towards the door again, stopping and looking at her, who followed me with her eyes.
“Sheila will come here in the morning. If you are hungry feel free to go to the kitchen to eat whatever you want... and..." I hesitated when speaking the next words. It wasn't... normal for me. "Sleep well, you need a good night's sleep."
I said that and quickly left the room, closing the door behind me. I didn't know why those words came out so unnaturally but at the same time so... cozy. As if it were common for me to tell her that. I walked down the hall, up the stairs to the top floor, where only my room was. The day had been stressful and in all the brief moments that I was away from Luna I could only think of her.
"What the f**k is that, Fiona?" I asked instantly stressed when I saw the girl wearing black lace lingerie that stood out on her tanned skin lying on my bed.
"I came to help you relax, my love." She said in a seductive tone, clearly trying to seduce me as she shifted on the bed to face me.
"I made it clear that everyone should be out of the pack house for a few days." My tone clearly showed how angry I was. I had no time or patience to deal with that girl now. Fiona ignored me and got up from the bed, watching me with slow steps. She had a smug smile on her face that showed she was going to do something.
"You are super stressed, I can feel it." She said stopping right in front of me. Her hands went to the buttons on my shirt and started to unbutton it. "I can de-stress you."
"It is much more likely that you will become more of a headache." I said rudely but she ignored me. Her eyes focused on the buttons opening.
"Tonight." She unbuttoned the last button and dropped my shirt over my shoulders to the floor. "I'm all yours. You can do whatever you want with me. ”
I wasn't super excited to tell the truth, but I really needed to get my head out of trouble. And the biggest problem for now was a runaway Omega in my guest room. I took Fiona's legs, who quickly jumped up and wrapped them around my waist, and threw her on the bed, which made her giggle. I quickly tore her black lace panties and to no one's surprise she was already wet.
I wouldn't make that a long night. I just needed to let go and send her away.
But even as I stuffed my c**k into her soaked p***y, the image of Luna came to mind. It didn't turn me off, on the contrary, but at the same time it made me want to kiss Fiona and slow down the pace... it made me want to make love to Fiona.
But it was not Fiona that prowled my head.
