Scarlett couldn't believe what she was seeing. Jacob was standing beside the beautiful lady with his hand wrapped around her waist. Not just a beautiful lady, but his fiance. Scarlett felt like a w***e before, but this topped everything. Jacob had made it clear that he didn't go to the club with the intention of sleeping with anyone, but he did anyway. He should have stopped her, not that she gave him any chance to protest, and pushed her away. They were both frozen, not able to look away from each other. Jacob looked at Scarlett with remorse because he acted single when he knew he was not. Even though he told himself that he and Katrina were just f*cking and he gave her a ring to keep her on a leash. Scarlett, on the other hand, looked at Jacob with disdain and anger. She had slept with someone's fiance and that was not the type of person she was. She would never have done it had she known. Jacob quit the staring contest when the beautiful woman spoke. Scarlett watched as the lady drew his attention by turning his face toward her. She said something inaudible in his ear. He laughed at whatever she said, then turned and gave her a full, very intimate hug, wrapping both his arms around her. Scarlett almost had a heart attack because of what he did next. He lifted one hand to her face, tilted her chin, and proceeded to kiss her. The woman wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him down to gain an advantage in her height. Even though it was awkward to watch two people kiss, Scarlett didn't move her eyes away. Not even when Jacob broke the kiss and looked her way. His actions were deliberate; he was playing games with her. Jacob was being an a*s about the situation. "I'm sorry." Scarlett heard Tony say beside her. She was so caught up with Jacob that she didn't remember Tony sitting beside her. "What are you sorry for?" She asked, though she knew what he was going to say. "I'm sorry for setting you up with Jacob." "You're not to be blamed. I am a grown woman who is capable of taking care of herself. I could have just danced for him, then left. But no, little old horny me had to let him f*ck me." In fact, Scarlett had teased him a lot that night, which painted the picture that she was up for taking. "I know. But I can't help but feel responsible. If I hadn't introduced you two there would have been none of this happening. And no matter what you say, I know this is a big deal for you because he's the first person you've slept with in a while." Tony said, taking a sip of his liquor. He was right, but Jacob didn't need to know that. She didn't want him to think she was pining over the fact that he had used her. She would give no man that privilege. She decided she wasn't going to even glance in his direction for the rest of the night. She missed her friend, Tony, and this was an opportunity for them to spend some time together. If he was available, that is. "Let's not dwell on that. I'm not giving Jacob any more of my thoughts. We haven't spent any time together in a long while, so let's drink together. If you can spare me some of your time." Scarlett said, giving him her million-dollar smile. "For you, I'll give up every day." Tony said, matching Scarlett's smile. Scarlett and Tony drank to their hearts' content. The music was loud but their laughter drowned it out. They were having so much fun that Scarlett thought it was best if they got together at least once a month. They didn't have to do much, but let go and be free. Scarlett jumped to her feet. She almost fell because she was intoxicated. "Let's dance." She told Tony, laughing while pulling him towards the dance floor. "Like I have a choice." He retorted. Scarlett turned her back to Tony and braced her body upon his. There was provocative music playing so Scarlett wanted them to dance to it and that's how they did it. They gyrated to the music. Any outsider would think they were lovers who couldn't take their hands off each other. But they knew their relationship was purely platonic. Tony was attractive in every way, but he just wasn't her type. "Scarlett, if I didn't know you any better I would have thought you were trying to lure me into your bed with those moves." Tony bent and whispered in Scarlett's ear, to which she laughed. "If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you wanted to take me to your bed." Scarlett shocked Tony by grabbing his crotch, feeling his semi-hard*n. "Scarlett! You can't do that!" Scarlett laughed so much she felt her stomach hurting. The joke was intensified by the alcohol in her system. "I just did." She stuck her tongue at him as if she was a child. Tony smiled while he shook his head. This woman was crazy, but he could honestly admit that he loved and respected her. "Now I'll have to find someone to take care of this." Tony pointed to his pants, which were now being strained by his raging erection. "Can you get a cab for me? I drove here, but as you can see, I'm not in any condition to be around the steering wheel." Scarlett said. "I'll let my driver take you home." Tony said matter of factly. "But I don't want to mess up your night. You'll need your vehicle." Scarlett said in a whiny tone. She didn't want to be an inconvenience to him. "I'm taking you home. End of discussion." "Yes sir." Scarlett gave him a mock salute. He just had to laugh. "You're crazy but I love you for it." Tony told Scarlett. He was happy that he could take her mind off of what happened, especially because he felt responsible. "Aaw! I love you too. I don't know what I'd do without you." Scarlett hugged Tony sincerely. She was grateful that he had taken her in when he did. Who knows? Maybe she wouldn't have the peace of mind that she now had. "I don't either." Scarlett slapped Tony on his shoulder, but she knew he was being playful. "Let's go before I change my mind and call a cab." Scarlett joked. "Do you want me to make the call for you?" Tony played along. "Whatever!" She huffed with arms folded. Scarlett and Tony wrapped their hands around each other as they walked out of the club side to side, unbeknownst that a pair of eyes were boring holes in their backs. They continued joking on the way to Scarlett's house. Tony made sure that Scarlett was safely inside her house before he left. He definitely wouldn't forgive himself if anything happened to her. Scarlett didn't change the dress that she had on. She hadn't even retrieved her bag from the locker, but she wasn't worried. She could always get it tomorrow. For now, there was only one thing on her mind; to fall asleep. And, after lying down, she quickly succumbed to a peaceful slumber.
