ANDY STARED AT HER PHONE. How dare he? But she knew he was right. Words are cheap. Unless she made a move, they would be at a permanent impasse. It all depended on her. The decision was hers to make, only it wasn’t easy. There were other things to consider. She busied herself with mild physical therapy to increase her injured shoulders’ range of motion. After half an hour and several repetitions, she was ready to shower. She examined herself in the mirror, prodded the muscles around her collarbone and behind her shoulder. The muscles were still tender. The severity of her injury was caused by the intensity of her battle with Henry, his desperate struggles to be free.
